When the provider doesn't answer any of my basic questions such as rate, location, availability. Another is when a provider quotes a rate that is far from local market rates, I stop the conversation.   
 

Personally I don't understand why so many providers insist on conversation being moved immediately from website messaging to text.
Seems that it would be less annoying to have the basic questions worked out on the site messenger before you end up with dozens of losers texting with you in your phone  and asking for close-ups of your dick or asshole.

I always start with RM messaging.   If the provider won't even provide the basics (availability, rate, etc), then I won't switch to texting.   To me a message via RM is an icebreaker.  Get the basics out of the way first and if it appears we are a match, I will continue via text if they want.  To those providers who insist it's just too much work to look at their RM app...give me a break.  At $300/hour, I think people in most professions would be more than happy to look at their messages a few times per day.  I have to respond to about a thousand emails and texts every day in my career and don't make anywhere close to $300+/hour.  I'm sure I'm not alone.  
 

Simple.  Some of us contact multiple providers before making a decision: to make sure they are interested, to check a few requirements, to see how they respond.  Doing it by text puts a lot of strange numbers in my phone and increases the risk of an inappropriate message ("hey stud, wanna....") popping up at an inappropriate time (it happens).  Of course, once the date is firm I have no problem switching to text.

Uber is a hard no for me. I’m not their personal assistant booking and scheduling their transportation. I presume the out rate is more because of transportation. Though I have given many rides to places after. It’s only come up a few times and I say no and move on if necessary. Fortunately in a big city their are plenty of other options.

When i lived in San Diego I'd drive to LA to meet escorts all the time. Typically, I'd incorporate another activity and make a day of it. You should consider doing that in San Diego. Even in my home city, I won't agree to an outcall that I can't walk to. So, at least from my perspective, this isn't a nothing question.

Just for clarification, “available now” does not mean quick replies via text. It means we are available anywhere from a window of 1-6 hours (which we are able to choose from a drop down menu). It does not mean we are waiting for your text, or a client or available to come to you “right now.” It means, within that window, we are able to work if not already preoccupied.

It’s also rude as hell for clients to not respond after you’ve followed up with them. Additionally, we are able to reach out to clients who have viewed us, and they don’t always reply either. But you don’t hear anyone weeping about it on the forum. It’s the nature of the territory you’re navigating. I would encourage you and the OP to grow thicker skin and not be so emotionally dependent on a text. The rentmen catalog is HUGE. There are so many men readily available and swift with the replies.
 
You could also, idk....pick up the phone and call a potential provider if you were THAT adamant on meeting him.
