I think that it’s too difficult to track test results,  as once you take the test, the moment you touch someone else, your current status expires…. For example…. You’re feeling great, and you get a full panel of blood work on Monday . Tuesday afternoon you hook up with someone who has the clap and they give it to you. On Friday, you get your results that come back all negative, so you believe you have your license to ditch the condoms and hav a nice hot time over the weekend. You have naively exposed your weekend partners to the clap, but not intentionally. 
 
Test results are only impactful if the tested individual abstains from sex from the date they’ve been tested until The date they have sex with you. Otherwise, test results are pointless. 
 
This is also why testing has holes in it, in the porn industry. Once the circle of actors (who may have negative test results), have sex outside of their circle of tested peers, they all can get exposed. 
 

Well…. I’ll dig deeper and say that more men need to learn how to be “full-spectrum” (beyond looks) attractive and keep traits that can attract and keep a partner, consistent. So in a good scenario, I’d like to date a man who bathes daily, has proper, consistent oral hygiene, and whose home is clean, fresh and well appointed.

I wish I could. I don’t know how people aren’t embarrassed to bring someone back to their place if it’s disgusting, especially if they plan on getting intimate. I’ve heard some real horror stories on this which is why I ensure nobody who comes to my place has a terrible experience. It’s a case of treating people how I would like to be treated.

Just because someone eats ass, doesn’t guarantee that they’re going to eat EVERY ass.

Every now and again I go to a gay bar, usually when I am on vacation.  I enjoy people watching and checking out whatever attractive men are there..  I do not expect to pick someone up.  In fact, I am fine if no one speaks to me, but usually, someone does and I will have a fun, usually superficial conversation.  Certainly I find it more entertaining then heading back to the hotel after dinner.  So I am old. I am okay with my looks and my life and I find an occasional  night out at a bar checking out men I will never have, enjoyable.  I am actually someone you should aspire to be, an old man who has seen better days and also has seen better days than 90% of the younger, fitter gay guys at that bar will ever see.  When I leave the bar, almost always alone, I head back to a life I am happy to have.

It’s a big and quite wonderful show of terrific artists finally getting some recognition. 

Yes, I remember these places fondly and the good "fishing" that could sometimes be had. It was always advantageous to be able to see and converse in real time before sealing the deal, and to have a chance to gauge the "vibe" of those to choose from. Sadly, however, all that seems a thing of the past, not just in DC but practically everywhere. It's all on-line now, which has its own advantages, but I still miss "pressing the flesh" before you actually got down to "press the flesh."
DC also appears to have lost its previous scene of having numerous stripper bars to choose from for an evening's entertainment, and this, too, is sorely missed.
