Shifting my 401K investments based on new administration?
+ FrankR replied to Duwop's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
Most 403(b) plans offer a Roth option - you can start by channeling new contributions into a Roth part of the 403(b) that way. Some 403(b) plans allow in service distributions/withdrawels before age 59 and a half - you can use that to shift funds into an IRA and then do a Roth conversion of those funds. Be prepared to pay taxes on any funds shifted out of your 403(b). I highly recommend that you speak to a professional before making any of these moves - it can get complicates and messy if not done correctly and with appropriate planning. -
Nathan Lane was worth the effort!

I’m getting addicted b/c I keep getting free upgrades

You are allowed to be young and foolish. Since you mentioned midtown, I assume you are in NYC. My advice: get a massage table, join MMXNYC and get free massage exchanges going. Finish your studies and wait to spend money until you have money. 😉 -
Don’t be anxious - just vote. Then have an irish coffee. You’ll be fine! 😁

Try a search - Igor has been discussed many times.

Yet another fine dining establishment is struggling
+ FrankR replied to samhexum's topic in The Lounge
Really? You should read McDonald’s 10-K. In 2023, 38% of company income was from real estate holdings. Private equity is the common cause of a great many business failures, be is restaurants or hospitals. -
I recently resigned from the board of a charity for much the same reason. It was clear to me that the leadership had lost the plot and a number of expenses did not appear appropriate or fruitful. I had to make a “noisy exit” to make my misgivings and resignation clear and ensure it was noted by all stakeholders and my departure cannot be in doubt. I had a word with the auditor as well since there is no audit committee. My professional qualifications could be in peril if I am associated with this type of shenanigans. I am still a little shocked by how blasé the leadership team was about my concerns.

The “older and wiser” like us, understand that PrEP protects against HIV but not bacterial infections etc. I continue to be surprised by how many young men believe PrEP makes them bullet proof. A very indignant young man asked me why he had to get the Mpox vaccine - he was getting the PrEP injection every few months already! (It took most of my self control, not to roll my eyes like Dorothy).

Nick Sandell should have his own thread.
+ FrankR replied to marylander1940's topic in Legacy Gallery
Nick has been posting some really weird stuff on his Insta. It seems he is unwell and suffering from undetermined respiratory problems. I suspect that the pics he is posting at the moment are not current but from earlier, better days. So sad. 🥲 -
A better analogy is probably vinal records. They remained in favor with many and have seen a bit of a revival over the past 5 years. (Sold 43 million records last year). I suspect the same will happen with condom use. It is a cheap and easy way to protect yourself from all kinds of critters.

Looks interesting - maybe some eye candy down the line too. Show is based in Australia.

A little off topic, if you will indulge. I was traveling in Barbados a few months ago. Needed new running shoes and stopped by a local store. The salesman told me the shoes I liked the looks of, was actually meant for cricket. They were Pumas - very colorful. Very good looking. So was the salesman! 😉 Ended up going to a game of cricket with him. Day/night game I think they called it. He explained that was the reason why they didnt use the traditional red cricket ball. It was actually a lot of fun to watch a game live.

Yes, we are out there! 😁 Scammers will try anything to get your information so they can try to monetize it. Always meet in a public place - I meet the young men for lunch before we reach any agreements. If they are unwilling to meet in person or a video call - scammer. Biggest problem daddies have: out of date photos. Check your pics - if they are more than a year old…they need updating! Good luck with your search.

HWP = Height/Weight Proportionate How did you come up with Hispanic White People?? 😆 -
You realize you are adding to the “noise and zero productice discourse”, right? That “someone” can be you! 🫵

That is your choice, of course. Limit human interaction, to me, translates to “lock myself in my room”…not very adult, more moody teenager! I like my job and I enjoy people, so I would rather get the shot. You can order free Covid tests online - USPS has a website.

Where to find a nude male housecleaner these days ?
+ FrankR replied to Ali Gator's topic in The Lounge
Clearly we have learned nothing from the “me too” years. Don’t play with the employees. Hire a cleaner, get a good cleaning. Hire for fun and get fun. Don’t commingle - it’s all fun and games until it goes very wrong and you have a lawsuit and reputational damage to deal with. My unsolicited advice: think twice. -
My credit score dropped 20 points this week because...

i agree - Dave Ramsey had some good ideas about budgeting and saving for a rainy day, but that is pretty much where the value stops. To listen to him about credit or investing is a mistake. His rants are a bridge too far. FICO is a little like baseball - learn the game and play it with patience.
