Seems like Daniel Perez and his band of activists are playing a dangerous game of extortion here.
Matt Colunga is a successful entrepreneur. These idiots don't like his politics and they don't like his business practice of requiring female patrons to be accompanied by a male (This is a GAY club!). Due to that, and because he wouldn't hire an unattractive, out-of-shape loser, they have threatened to destroy him.
Matt wants to open up a business in a vacant storefront. He would be creating jobs and bringing in much needed tax revenue to the coffers of a city plagued by high crime, drugs, gang violence, etc. The Chicago city elders and Northalsted gay community should be rolling out the Welcome Mat for Matt (yes, pun intended). Instead, these jerks feel they have the right to tell Matt what to think, how to operate his business, and whom he should hire!
Bozo hopes Matt sticks to his principles. And if he is denied his license to operate, he should sue the city and those responsible for that hateful petition.

If no license applications have even been submitted by Colunga, the chances of it opening in May are almost non-existent.  That should have the first thing he did.  Anything involving a liquor license in Chicago takes forever.  
Does anyone have more information on this?

The owner has reversed one of the policies and tried to apologize for the social media comments. What’s more interesting is this from an article last week: “In an interview with the Windy City Times, Colunga said Johnson’s Chicago was expected to open in May. However, Ald.
