Quick geography lesson:  the city of Manila is quite small and not even the largest city in the Philippines.  Quezon City is, 3.1 million to Manila’s 1.9 million.  Metro Manila is huge:  Manila and Quezon City are 2 of the 16 independent cities that make up Metro Manila, population 13.5 million.
