Possible stalker -- Request for advice?

+2 Blocking eliminates the irritation. Eventually, @adventurous old guy, when you stop being reminded by texts, you'll forget about it -
Possible stalker -- Request for advice?
LaffingBear replied to adventurous old guy's topic in The Deli
+1. @adventurous old guy : Is it possible you're unaware you can block a number? Dont know how? Not available with every carrier? -
5 is my only consideration. Its not a leisurely drive; Im looking to make time. Right now, still undecided. If I do it, Ill get on road 6-7 am, hoping to arrive mid-day. The idea of hitting snail's pace at Grapevine, 2-3 extra hours if bad holiday traffic throughout, and then going to a party tomorrow afternoon is daunting. As is just driving around 101 in SFV. And 7/5 day after potential traffic might be worse. More and more, avoidance seems prudent. If it wasnt last minute, Id have made lengthier plans, flown, etc.

How late is too late on the weekends?
LaffingBear replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
Im not a Golden Girls viewer. But I watch Frasier late night. The promos for Christmas in July have me believing its on Hallmark Movies, not Hallmark . Hope Im not wrong... -
How late is too late on the weekends?
LaffingBear replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
Is it ok to call later in November & December when that becomes "we think everyone loves lame Christmas movies" Channel? -
Cant do any of those. Its 5 on Tues & Thurs, or forget it.

TUESDAY UPDATE: NOT GOING Received a last minute invite, spontaneous Independence Day party plans. I'm in SF Bay, party is in LA SFV. Too late for anything but gouge 'em airfares, rental cars, etc... not worth it for 1-2 nights. So, its drive or dont go. Common sense tells me not to do the I5 drive days before & after holiday. Anyone with any CA I5 holiday travel experiences or insights?

Last trip, I BARTd. BART to SFO is easier than OAK. And lately, SFO fares have been lower than SWA at OAK (provided carryon only). It was a Sunday, so I wasnt worried about BART crowding. But, this is an anxiety thread. They announced maintenance on my line that weekend, with a bus-bridge prior to my point of entry. My train left on time, rolled one minute, stopped and sat 8 minutes, which heightened my anxiety. But all was fine, unremarkable, thereafter. I did ParkSFO recently. . Not bad. But most recent trip was holiday, and those dates are blacked out for parking deals.

Through a weird combination of events, my last travel experience that could gave been an annoying problem was a benefit-in-disguise. My flight was postponed so the agent moved me, at my request, to the next day, and I extended my vacation. Agent also told me to find her in gate area next day.... I did, and she upgraded my seat. When bad stuff goes good, its an anxiety preventive. I'll be less inclined to stress next time.

Where are you flying? Small talk? My last 5 flights, people arrive and take seats, only communucation is about finding the power outlets or complaining about lack of power outlets/usb ports, stick their nose in their phone, put on headphones, and no communication. No one listens to safety announcements. They dont even look up for their beverage and pretzels.

Is being fingered without a glove safe?
LaffingBear replied to starman05's topic in Questions About Hiring
Like when a stool pigeon fingers criminal accomplices while being interrogated by the Coppers? What good is a glove? http://d279m997dpfwgl.cloudfront.net/wp/2013/12/1210_Reid-technique.jpg -
Selective, yes. I tend not to sleep well night before... I suppose the excitement/anticipation is a form of anxiety. Life in the suburban SF Bay Area: airports are 40-50 minutes at non-commute times when traffic is light. But events, accidents, and certainly commute hours can easily triple that. So some anxiety over timing the trip... dont want to be late, but dislike allowing for worst only to sit in airport an extra 90 minutes. So a little airport-commute obsession. I'm a casual flier, so little anxiety with experience on-board. I've only really been scared by a flight once in my life. Mostly very casual and comfortable as a single traveler. But there have been a couple of solo-trips with some anticipatory anxiety. My only gay cruise as a single, (turned out great.) There have been a few trips, or weekend add-ons to business trips, when I ended up bored, lonely, maybe rentguy plans crashed, etc. Particularly boring experiences in LA, enough that I regretted going. So some anxiety before some locations.... never places I know to have mega opportunities for the solo traveler, like LV, NYC.

Can you untie me now?

Just a warning for anyone inspired by this thread. Lotus of Siam website says Sahara location currently closed for renovations. Dont know if they keep website current, updated; cant vouch for accuracy. But if someone's inspired to go now...best to confirm.

Adding Lotus to my list for next trip in a few months. Particularly as I'm renting a car next time. Cars are generally not worth it since Vegas started charging for parking. Except, some places are reversing that under some circumstances, (e.g. hotel guests) and some provide free parking for players club members above base-newbie level. I always rented a car when visiting LV years ago. But not recent visits. Car makes it easier to explore, leave Strip, hit the gay clubs, Red Rocks, etc. Never made Hoover Dam, so thats one reason for car next visit. And, now, Lotus of Siam.

Julian Serano Tapas in Aria was my best meal during my April stay. The Buffet at Wynn was best buffet I had out of 3 I visited in April & May.

Cosmo has a promo. New visitors, new players club enrolleess only. Play enough to earn 750 points in 48 hours, free Wicked Spoon, (must use in 48 hours.) 1500 points, free buffet for two. Brunch or dinner . AND, get to bypass line. For the record, brunch was excellent, but not the mind-blowing experience I'd hoped for. Wish I'd done dinner. With two recent LV visits in past 60 days, Cosmopolitan is my favorite place on Strip.

Pretty good read. I agree with most of the points. I dont see the harm in standing at your seat and conversing before the show starts or during intermission. The comment regarding clothes caught my attention. For personal reasons, I did not attend a live performance from 2005-2018. Holy Moley... the change in theater attire shocked me. I expected nice jeans. I did not expect workout wear. I did not expect cargo shorts and flip flops. I recognize that I'm old and judgmental; I wish that some standards of attire still existed. Cell phones are an addiction. Everyone seems to think they're the exception. The one person who can drive and text, etc. I suppose Vegas Cirque Du Soleil counts as live theater. Two months ago, Cirque announced beforehand "no recording, no pictures. If we see you recording with your phone, we'll take it. No kidding... we've done it." The young folks in front of me decided they were the exception, recorded the second half. So, in addition to the spectacle I was supposed to see, I was distracted by this bright light of the phone screen held aloft. I wanted to snatch the phone and give it to an usher. I saw Paul Simon's concert recently. There were several times during the show that we had to yell at the people in front of us to lower their phones. We literally couldn't see the stage, as the new norm seems to be to hold a phone aloft recording the concert. I also agree with the point regarding be healthy or stay home. I remember seeing Mamma Mia at the WinterGarden early 2000s. Sat next to someone snorting, sweating and sniffling through entire performance, and wearing a mask. It was the height of the bird-flu scare... I was certain I'd get sick. Oh well... nothing left but lamentation. Impractical to believe etiquette and civility will make a comeback.

I'm considering. He's in SF at present. If asked 6 months ago, I'd have opined that fake pics = absolute no-go. Except, met a guy in December. He was already en route, and in eager anticipation, I did a little more web-sleuthing. Discovered photos were a european model, found Instagram proof he was in Europe that morning. Contacted rentguy, told him what I'd found. Told me he's very similar, needs discretion. He offered facetime, eventually Skype. Arranged to meet me at local coffee place, 2 minutes from my home. I was hesitant, skeptical. Wouldn't have invested even a 10-minute drive. But a 2-minute walk is so little, to indulge my curiosity if nothing more. Totally changed my deeply-rooted skepticism. Better looking than the pictures, in my opinion. Repeated several times, overnighted, etc. So, I'm considering Kev_en while here in SF. (I've also had excellent experiences anytime the guy's been Canadian... well, two guys, three-peated with one.)

LOL! Ya know... part of me wants to be judgmental, wants to feel that its wrong to objectify someone. Strangers aren't meat on display. Yet, there I was, shopping for clothes Tuesday. And some young guy was perusing the racks near me, with an ass on display in grey fleece workout shorts that made me stop... I had to control the urge to stare... I could have set my intended purchases on the shelf of his butt! I choose to believe that, with changing societal norms, younger men are more comfortable showing off. Last times in Vegas, I kept seeing and hearing guys just walking along the Strip, talking about their attire, comparing triceps, etc. In a modern twist on the bimbo's "does this skirt make my thighs too big?" I actually heard a guy respond to friends joshing about a shirt with "yeah, but it makes my pecs look great!"

Admittedly sideways, paranoid reply: No opinion regarding any awkwardness, neighborhood encounters, etc. Someone who is comfortable enough to approach a neighbor with such a proposition might be someone who has done it before. Go on any porn website and search for "neighbor"or "grindr".. incredible how many hidden-cam vids will be returned by the search. One might say thats true of any encounter... but there seems to be some extra attraction to recording neighbors. I'm edging toward the belief that all clients, rentguys, and hookup app-users, should invest in and carry hidden and wifi camera scanners.

I decided not to go. I went to a movie midday, wasnt enthusiastic to return to theater 7pm. There werent many seats remaining for Bandstand when I checked. Judged that, if it was great, I'd have heard more about it. At $17.00, I decided to wait, it'll show on Amazon, or Google, eventually. I like these new crossovers of Broadway or Met Opera at my local cinema. Its how I saw NPH in Company, and Newsies. I keep watching announcements and plan to take advantage of the Met Opera showings.

At first, I thought they'd created one of those movie special events by filming the current Boys In The Band redux. https://www.fathomevents.com/events/bandstand The event full promotional title is misleading. The Boys Are Back: Bandstand. I recognize now its unrelated to the current Boys run on Broadway. Nonetheless, I'm thinking of going tonight. Tonight, or never, and wait, hope it'll be released online, on disc, etc. Anyone familiar with this show? Reviews?

Thats a south american porn actor. Search Rodrigo or Lorenzo. Try meninosonline.com or TimTales. I wouldnt be surprised to see a porn actor as a rentguy. But its very doubtful hed promote himself as Jay the masseur
