  1. One of the best plans I made this trip... throw some coffee K-cups into my luggage. I prefer, and need, my coffee in my room to get going. A walk down to coffee first thing in the morning isnt for me. I started bringing my own coffee even when it was free in-room. French Roast here, so the coffee in rooms is too mild for me. All rooms seem to have little k-cup single cup machines these days. Caesars required retrieving a coffee kit from the minibar - $12. I assume it had makings of two cups.... and the single cup machines make small cups. Caesars provided small cardboad coffee cups at the machine. Mandalay Bay has put a K-cup, sweeteners, creamers, in a cup with a lid, and sealed it in plastic. $5 to open the plastic. I dont use K-cups at home. $6 for a 10 pack of Italian Roast before departing made for decent coffee every morning, unaccompanied by the feeling of succumbing to another hotel extra money grab. _________________ Update, extended trip one day, out of K-cups. Down to lobby for coffee. Convention starting today in LV, and here at Mandalay Bay. Stood 10-12 minutes in line at Starbucks, everyone quietly staring at their phones. It was almost scripted, creepy/automaton behavior from a movie. Then, reanimation at the counter, as the milleniel-bots ordered their frappy-whappies and my-thai-chais with agavé. Do you want soy, moo, or milk? The young women in front of me referred to her phone as she ordered a detailed list of drinks. I was waiting for her to channel Niles Crane, and request "a light dusting of nutmeg, not so much as a full-shake, mind you, but not so little so as to be considered a soupçon." I am, more than ever, determined to travel with MY coffee.
  2. Neither appreciate it or hate it. Never bothered to use it. My phone becomes simply a music device after boarding. Use my tablet for reading, games, videos/movies, some work, etc. None of it requires wifi. I cant relate to the need to be always connected.
  3. I was being too paranoid.... wondered if Grindr was working with law enforcement and therefore enabling the emoji for that one account.
  4. I find that theyre so hungry for business, theres more to be had on promotional offers compared to earned comps. Think of it from their perspective... they (like the airlines) have demand management predictions... if the rooms are predicted to be sitting empty, why not give offers to fill them, hoping that deal-takers or their friends spend money in casino.
  5. Wynns promo is for new players only... cant have a record with them. Earn 750 points within 48 hours, 2 free buffets. Get 1300 points, two more buffets, or brunch at the terrace point cafe. I made 1150 points, but wasnt going to go back there just because a meal was free. In April, Cosmo promo - brand new player only - was 500 points in 48 hours for 1 buffet, 100 points for two. Must earn AND use buffet within 48 hours.
  6. Woke up at Caesars Memorial Day. Went to pool. Beautiful pool deck, setting, etc. Nice pools. Except at entrance/stairs to each pool... "pool is closed. We apologize for the inconvenience." Hanging out on pool deck with no swimming bores me quickly; I was out of there after 20-minutes . Sort of representative of everything I encountered at Caesars.
  7. Talking to a guy on Grindr. All good indications. Except, he has a dollar-sign emoji in profile. And I know Grindr has very restrictive filters that search out and prevent anything in profiles, names, profile-pics, etc that indicate $, gen, etc. Ive tried a few indicators as a potential client and they got rejected. So, my paranoid mind wonders... how did this guy get a blatant $ emoji past Grindr?
  8. Any info? https://rentmen.eu/ManuKm/ Fairly certain I've seen photos before, so assuming name changes. Weve communicated and hes polite and friendly.... Im having some tech challenges and currently unable to do all of the usual due diligence.
  9. I wouldnt give them $$$ for a buffet for anything. Plus, there was a new player promo at Wynn... earn xxxx points, get buffets for two. Got it, came close to getting the next tier, which is some well known cafe brunch. The Wynn buffet was excellent. Also, Ive now left Caesars, moved hotels, and spent the last few hours floating on the river at Mandalay Bay.
  10. Excellent Response... couldnt resist adding my comment. Its ok to politely ask almost anything of most anyone. But for the questions specified, no matter the answers, protecting yourself is your duty, and basing your protection on someone else's assurances is foolhardy.
  11. As I sit in my LV room, I can report that I will never stay at Caesars Palace again. They made some mistakes in the way they handled my reservation/checkin, and were entirely unapologetic. More mistakes in other details of my stay. The room, actually pretty nice, was comped, although $40 a night in resort fees. First visit to the pool... deck's open, looks nice, but signs apologizing that pool itself is closed. First glance out the window... TRUMP is my view... the giant logo on his LV hotel. All in all, bad omens. I havent gambled $1 at a table or machine, or spent $1 at a restaurant on property. Their loss... I've already earned comps at Mirage, Venetian and Wynn. Spiteful? Me? Paint me petty! Wish I could cross-post to other threads... Some come to Vegas to get lucky. Some to get laid. I came to get a cold. I rarely get colds... been years. Not bad, or serious, no headache, almost no congestion, except... ....as I peruse Grindr "gen?" messages, or consider RM/Jock2go/Friendboy... all I can think is.... "I dont think a bfe is enhanced by a nose running like a faucet! " Ive generally made good hiring decisions thinking with my brain, and a few bad decisions thinking with my crotch. This time, making the no-go decision with my nose.

  13. I probably wouldnt. All things considered.... a cancellation is probably the "best of all the possible bad" outcomes. Maybe he was telling the truth. Maybe not. At least he didnt "ghost."
  14. How many updated privacy notices have you gotten in the past 10 days? Are you reading them all? Thoroughly? Are they easy to read, simple and straightforward? Even approach brief? Are they clarifying anything? Do you feel you have a better understanding of your privacy, how your data/information is used? Feels like a corporate exercise in BS to me. Important issue, but some legal actuarials somewhere must know that only a tiny fraction of users read those things, and even fewer understand them, before clicking away their consent.
  15. Everything I see on there shows posting dates early April, nothing more recent.
  16. I'm only marginally bothered by that practice. Overall, I'm not a fan of censorship. So if forced, I'd say I'm opposed. Because all initial censorship is a slippery slope. However, Disney is a private company. I wouldn't want the curious youngsters in my family seeing escort sites. Or porn. Inquisitive minds that watch every screen - phones, tablets, laptops - in their environment, including glances at strangers'. If the company can be very precise with blocking technology in public spaces, its ok with me. I'd have a very different reaction if also blocked in private spaces, like hotel rooms. Do the airlines block adult sites? I wouldn't want to sit adjacent some guy watching porn on a plane. The porn wouldn't offend me, but I'd be judgmental about my seatmate's overall common sense. And for those who don't know.... the following sites are blocked MediaFactCheck.org AmericanPsychiatricAssoc.org CNN.com, StormysTruth.net, Comey.com, Comey.net, & AHigherLoyalty.com At Mar-A-Lago
  17. I was considering last week, when there were questions regarding Matthew Davis. I stopped, in anticipation of my travel. Still interested in Ricky, for when back in town.
  18. I'm also in the school of "don't haggle" as a client. If its for more than one hour, I will try to tell them what I want so they can set an informed rate... I'll say yes or no. There are no absolutes when trying to interpret emotional reactions. On some level, if the interaction proceeds: "My rate is $350." "Sorry, I won't pay that." "Well, I can do $300." "No thanks" "How about $250?"....... Now we're in used car sales territory. He didnt set his rate at $350.... he took a shot. Maybe it can go even lower. Or maybe he's really desperate, what am I getting into? So, I politely decline if the rate is unacceptable to me, and avoid negotiations and all of the imagined reactions and reasons that go with them. Plus, when purchasing mark-downs, there's always the possibility it's an irregular.
  19. I use online scheduling for doctors, car service, etc. I agree with @Eric Hassan 's comments regarding personal approach. I'll add a different, even sour, perspective for potential escort scheduling. Dont do it. The internet is a great development. But one of the side effects is a "little thought, no consequences" attitude to online activities. Escorts who open themselves for online scheduling are going to have as many fake appointments as they get worthless inquiries. Itll be even easier for nervous clients to just no-show. Etc etc.... think of all the wasted time with inquiries/contacts. The only way I see online scheduling not being a total waste of rentguys' time is with a financial obligation to book, much like airlines. And that ain't happening.

  21. Ill ask here, because I saw a mention go by on another thread, asked for more info, but no response. Found nothing on property website, websearch, etc. Does anyone know anything regarding the Flamingo pool events including gay themed days or events?

  23. For those interested, I saw a very affordable carryon roller bag at Costco today. $35, which is way less than anywhere else, even discounters like Ross, Marshalls etc. Skyway. Exact max size allowed by major carriers. Hardshell exterior. Lots of pockets and zippers inside. Expandable. Sturdy double wheels at each corner. Long, sturdy 2-pole handle Not what I'd call highest quality... flimsy hardshell. I wouldn't subject it to the abuse of checked luggage, but as a small carryon always in a passenger's presence, more than adequate.
  24. I like the idea... dont know if it could be crafted. But why limit yourself to escorts? Seeking arrangements? Gaymillionaires.com? Use a yenta? "I never saw a purple cow, but now I might just do it. Because he signed the papers to...ensure I will inherit."
