For a brief period of time, I had eased up on my requirement for deposits for incall sessions where the client comes to me. It had seemed like people were showing up a little bit more.
But after yesterday, I’ve decided to permanently require all clients asking to come to me, to make a deposit. I’m putting it across all of my ads and upfront. I will absolutely not be hosting anyone if they don’t make a deposit. You would think it’s more risky to go to a client’s place and be stood up, but more often than not: it’s the ones who claim to want to come to me, which end up not showing up.
Just yesterday I had 2 clients fail to show up for their appointment request. I didn’t get a deposit from either, because I was in a hurry and needed to book a room to host an “incall day” (I have a place already, but I don’t host appointments from right now). Unfortunately I had went ahead and booked the non refundable rate for the hotel. So far it’s been hell and high water to change the date or get a refund, and I literally had no use for the hotel otherwise.
To add insult to injury, one of the clients became very disrespectful, even calling me names and saying I was silly to get a hotel for him. And the same idiot booked an appointment previously where he hosted, and I didn’t go because he wouldn’t pay the deposit. This time, I try to trust him to show up without paying the deposit, and he STILL doesn’t show up.
So for the remainder of my escort career: I won’t be accepting anymore excuses or reasons why a client can’t pay a deposit to come to me. It’s just too many times where people want me to host, and they don’t show up. And I either end up out of money, or out of time setting aside time for them and they don’t show up. 
 
If they can’t make the deposit, they either need to host or I won’t see them. No exceptions.

I found myself getting too close to a provider once, so I cut him off.  It's best to keep your head straight about these relationships.  Based on what you are saying, I think you are in too deep and would be better off moving on.

While I wouldn't personally go the apologizing route (I just don't see a positive outcome there at all) and I would just move on, I think you should do whatever you will find easiest to live with.  If you are going to drive yourself nuts over the wondering and won't be able to just let it go, then by all means spend a little more effort pursuing the answer you need.
Whatever you choose to do, do not under any circumstances cross the line to stalkerville and definitely prepare yourself for the real possibility that you may never get the answers you seek.  If closure is something that you absolutely can't live without and you aren't able to get a response... may I suggest you write a letter to the escort... putting everything you emotionally need to in that letter, seal it, and then burn that letter and move on.

Ghosting happens for a number of reasons. I know it’s difficult to swallow, particularly when you have developed -or think you have developed- a special relationship with the “ghoster”. If he fails to answer your queries, the best is to just move on. My two cents. 

Maybe he wants to quit? Does he still advertise? Maybe he got a sugar daddy or a regular job. 
I would let it go, plenty of guys willing to get your money.

what @Benjamin_Nicholas said. if u did nothing wrong, there's nothing to apologize for. if u had developed a relationship / friendship then, certain friendships tend to wane and dissipate as well, so if he keeps ignoring you, id just move on.

Don't grovel.
Just be direct and ask if there's an issue.

In my very early days of hiring I used to be willing to hire without seeing a face pic.  Unfortunately, I had to stop doing this because it always ended in disappointment for me.  I think this was mostly because I couldn't prevent myself from projecting via fantasy of what the faceless provider looked like and the cold reality when actually seeing the escort of how off I really was to the real thing.  The funny thing about it is I likely would have been ok in many of the cases if I was able to see the real thing before having to use my imagination.
Put me in the category of someone who will not hire without seeing your face.

Yes, in essence you are the goods in this business and that means some buyers won’t like the look of you. I used to worry about that, now I don’t so much because I know that there are plenty who do go for me and what I do. I also make porn and that’s even more brutal in terms of putting yourself out there to be knocked down. Everyone has feelings and insecurities but doing this work has helped me realise that there’s a market for everyone. I don’t take the rejections I get personally. Not often anyway!!

This was good advice for me thirty years ago.  It still sounds good today.  

Definitely this. Polite requests from genuine clients get a face pic. If the first question is “face pic” then the answer is “no”.
It’s part of my filtering process to deter and remove the time wasters, picture collectors, fantasists and bottom end clients who will ask for a discount.
Genuinely interested clients will have seen my website, asked a few relevant questions and then if they want a face pic they’ll get one. I don’t want anyone coming to see me to have any misconceptions about who they’re meeting as that’s a poor way to start off. I want them to feel happy and comfortable when they walk through my door, and even more happy when they leave. 

If you have an ad on RentMen, why not put some face pics in your private gallery?  Even premium clients need to request access to those.  You then control who sees them and you can always block their access after they’ve viewed them.

Quite literally, you are selling yourself as the product.  Your face is a huge contingent of that sale.  While I understand not putting your face pic in your general listing, it's definitely unique to say you 'never' send a face pic before meeting a client.
My view is that you will not have as well-rounded a business as you might have without that face pic.  If you're willing to give up a decent chunk of what could be incredibly profitable repeat clients, then so be it.  That is your call.
In your initial post, you say it's very personal to give someone a face pic.  This is a personal business.  Get comfortable.

When I hired, it was for a mid-afternoon or early evening date. I always found bottoms preferred to be pounded before dinner, less so afterwards.

I prefer afternoon. The later you hire a guy, the more chance that he has had previous appointments, and not many guys, even young guys, seem to be able to cum multiple times! Rentmasseur is good, so is UKadultzone for advertising but most of my clients are referrals or via google searches for my website. I get around 1700 unique visitors to my website each month. I’m quite selective now about where I advertise.
