I tend to agree with you. There have been periods in the distant past when there were strident ongoing personality driven fights. Most of those posters have moved on or moved elsewhere.
 
I get that some are frustrated with the lack of information about escorts and experiences with them. I think you’re going to get replies to your post telling you to only meet providers with good reviews On Daddy’s Review Site - and that’s solid advice. But I will try to provide some extra thoughts:
 
1) Pay attention in these forums. You will get information (in the Deli section in particular) about providers who have no reviews on the site.
 
2) If you don’t already, use the Search function in the forums to look up possible threads on a provider you are considering.
 
3) Don’t be afraid to start a thread in the Deli section asking about a specific provider. You will see many threads simply titled “411 on xxxxProvider”. You might be surprised that some Forum members have already had experience they can share about the provider that interests you.
 
4) Regarding the catfishing problem - try to think what a Catfisher would do when placing an ad - Some red flags commonly found in ads that are too good to be true could include:
 
- Very little information is provided in the ad. A catfisher is typically not going to take the time to fill out a lot of the question fields in the ad. He is also not going to write multiple paragraphs about himself. Most fake ads tend to look alike - a few great pictures with little ad copy provided.
 
- Speaking of pictures, if there is just one or two pictures, that can be a red flag. Headless pictures of a spectacular body are also common in fake ads.
 
- Pay attention to the date the ad was created. Many fake ads are “new” - and as is discussed often in the Forums - a guy creates an ad on Monday and by Wednesday he has three five-star reviews on the ad - that is unlikely to be a real provider.

Once you've been doing this hobby for a while you get that 6th sense. I haven't (knock on wood) been propositioned by law enforcement. But you need to do research before you meet, in all honesty half these guys are using old pics and you need add at least 5 years to the age and 10-20 pounds to the pics. We are all here to help, none of us want to read that someone got taken advantage of or worse. I've been catfished numerous times but I still go along with it. Last time in PHX, I met the guy and was like "really dude...you need to update your pics" and we still had a good time.
 
To me it's obvious when an ad seems fishy, you just feel it. The pic is of some really gorgeous guy, from some other country and there are no nudes, just maybe 1-5 pics all PG rated and a very limited description, maybe 5 words in a sentence. No phone number, no reviews, and the ad is usually up less than a week. Watch all your key words, if there is no mention of position or anything else.....it's a dud or they are straight trying to make an extra buck off you by allowing you in their presence. Some guys love throwing money out the window like that..not me....if I don't get a sense that they get naked and f___, they don't get my money. I can watch beautiful men at the gym and it cost nothing but my membership. I love eye candy!!!
 
The last warning will be the final one and by then it's too late, if they greet you at the door and ask for the money up front and ask what you want to do, the police need those two things on tape to scoop you up. If there is no conversation of, "hello, how are you, my name is _____ lets sit and talk" be wary.... Most straight cops will be distant and probably on the other side of the room or they will have furniture between you and them. There will be no physical interaction between you and them and once they hear you say the magic words, they give the signal and it's all over.
