Have you asked him? Personally, I much prefer to get reviews from my clients - this gig is competitive

just as it could be a turn off to some potential clients, it could also be a boost to his business on the other hand - plenty of people on this forum like to see that people are reviewed, and seeing reviews over a period of time from the same reviewer can establish a provider as reliable and enjoyable

You took a drug which is highly reinforcing and pleasurable, and you liked it.

You are NOT suddenly “an addict.” this thread has me really fired up, so much judgment and more jumping to conclusions about what can easily be an isolated incident.

What you do now, and going forward, is the real decision. I don’t have the time to write more now, but there’s a lot more that I would like to say, and I’ll write tomorrow.

Lot of “self-destructive behaviors” in many forms on this forum, people just love to judge others for the ones they don’t have.

I knew Tom Chase (different name) in Boston around 1990. He was a grad student and worked as a personal trainer. He was smooth (probably shaved or waxed) and had a leaner although exceptionally well defined physique. He was such a gentleman!!! So polite and friendly with a Southern accent. He is as smart as he is hung! I hooked up with him at a party in Boston and we played in a group that summer in Provincetown.
I never heard of him returning to Boston after making videos and then escorting. Don’t know if he settled down or not but wish him the best and will always fondly recall exchanging hello’s and hugs whenever I saw him.

I can understand the impulse to assume the worst about a companion, but maybe it’s just someone without much experience with this sort of an travel arrangement / someone relatively new to the werqin’ world.

on the other side, I try to give guys hiring me the benefit of the doubt because it can be a nerve wracking thing for newbies to “take the plunge” - call me naïve maybe, but it’s served me well not always assuming the worst in people

As for character and approach.....I had some pretty crappy experiences on a trip to Vegas a little before Peterhung's time.

It reminded me that when I started hiring--when I was living in Atlanta a bit over 20 years ago, there were some good providers in town (2 are still around, but only one is still in Atlanta), but a ton of flakes and even the agency guys were not reliable, and that pattern remained the entire I lived there. Granted, Atlanta has a deservedly crappy reputation for a lot of things, but I had some problems in other cities, too.

The one thing that strikes me from comments here is that there are more choiced and more information...some of it credible, some not. My guess is that the number of guys who choose this a sa profession has always been relatively small. The cohort who don't plan to make this a long-term occupation, but are well organized as business people and generally provide satisfying service is a bit bigger but not necessarily ever the majority. More providers...more to sift through. Nostalgia tends to be a corruption of history and suspect that if you went back to the beginnings of this site (I think some early posts are gone, sadly), you'd find the same complaints as today, and some of them coming from the most now-nostalgic posters.

+ OliverSaks got a reaction from + Charlie in Pickleball
Some sources claim that the name "Pickleball" was derived from that of the Pritchard's family dog, Pickles, or from the term "pickle boat".[4][6]According to Joan Pritchard, Joel Pritchard's wife, “The name of the game became Pickle Ball, after I said it reminded me of the Pickle Boat in crew where oarsmen were chosen from the leftovers of other boats. Somehow the idea the name came from our dog Pickles was attached to the naming of the game, but Pickles wasn’t on the scene for two more years. The dog was named for the game, but stories about the name’s origin were funnier thinking the game was named for the dog."

I’m just saying that it is possible to misread someone “playing coy” with actual, genuine uncertainty about how to handle a situation like the one stated by the OP. You’re obviously free to move on if you feel like it is a game, I wouldn’t blame you. But just from reading posts from certain people handling experiences with newer talent (@Keith30309 comes to my mind), I would suspect that you’ll miss out on some gems if you “assume the worst.”

I think that I answered very reasonably, I think if you have something interesting to add about government and chemical warfare on the gay community, that this community of many gay men would be interested to hear about it. Taking it to PM is not really the way to go on a matter like this, where knowledge could benefit the community at large.

I don’t feel like I’m being passive aggressive, I haven’t attacked you but you’ve made a claim that I would like to read more about if it is indeed true.
