The new NYC Ginger Experience (TM) is till in the planning stages but is scheduled to open in Times Square in 2024, just around the corner from the Hard Rod Cafe.
Until it opens, we'll all have to use the old analogue gingers.

From my perspective, humour (that's the Canadian spelling 😉 ) has been the victim of declining critical thinking abilities.  Irony and satire appear mean-spirited when the audience's ability to think critically is diminished and is replaced by feelings and emotions, which are much more subjective in nature.  Wokeness and political correctness have replaced the need for empathy and kindness, and in my opinion, are two of the laziest ways to advance social change.  It is far easier to be outraged by something and call for the cancellation of others than to actually apply our brains to figure out the situation, or make the personal sacrifices needed to benefit others.  Generally speaking, I think we have been dumbed-down and have become more self-centred (another Canadian spelling!) and self-congratulatory over the past couple of decades.

    Not really.
He's clearly doing what makes him feel comfortable and I'm sure his reality past makes him marketable to people who want that.
Again, just because it doesn't fit into your little box of acceptable doesn't make it bad.
You're in the wrong sandbox if you want to judge people for their sexual jollies.

+ pitman reacted to pubic_assistance in Are men getting better looking?
    I disagree .
The combination of gym culture / healthy lifestyle and the commonality of mixed ethnicity families all do contribute to a generation of men who look extremely handsome /healthy and different from past generations.
Not to say that we don't grow less picky as we get older ...but I definitely see more men who fit all my usual preferences than when I was in my 20s.

First of all...I'm not sharing any load.  I want it all for me🤪!
Secondly, the key to keeping the politics forum at least somewhat civil is having clear rules and then ensuring rule-breakers face consequences.  As long as that is happening, I'm quite happy for the politics forum to remain.  Things seem to be running quite well right now.
The summer break from the politics forum turned out to be helpful.  I personally have adopted a new approach now.  I simply do not engage with posters I consider baters and trolls.  Whilst I have put no-one officially on the ignore list, I am effectively ignoring them and their posts.  I have seen enough of their views and beliefs on the politics forum.  I don't consider their contributions to be of value to me and I have no reason to read the same comments they make endlessly.  Why bother even reading their input and then getting into an on-line yell-fest.

+ pitman got a reaction from thomas in The Anarchists (HBOMax)
I had some problems with this series right from the start, but it was compelling enough that I stuck with it.  My reservations started with the title, since the show never attempts to explain the history of anarchism and the different views on what anarchism actually is.  A more honest title would have been "The Anarcho-Capitalists" or "The Hedonistic Libertarians".
The series is centered around a group of mostly privileged upper middle class Americans who decide to create their own little utopia in Acapulco, essentially a colonial village with little or no interaction with the local population.  Over a period of several years we see the "community" fracture and attempt to regroup.  Initially I found little to identify or sympathize with in any of the characters, but as it got darker it got better.  The final episode was especially strong and at least somewhat redeems the series as a whole.
    I think its worth watching

I've pretty much had my fill of true crime series, but I decided to take a chance on this one.  Its only three episodes and its about revenge porn, a subject I pretty much ignored when it was in the news a few years ago.  I'm glad I watched it.  The villain was truly deplorable and the woman who relentlessly pursued him was awesome.  Very entertaining.  Its on Netflix.

This is a Swiss drama about an ambitious gay man in the corporate world who is forced to return to the farm where he grew up to deal with a family crisis.  Each member of the family seems to have a lot of secrets, and by the end of the second episode everyone appears to be on the verge of a meltdown.  I have no idea where this is going but its off to a strong start.

THE LAST MOVIE STARS (HBO) documents the lives and films of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.  Newman was easily one of the sexiest men of his era and Woodward was a truly great actress who, for reasons explored in the series, never reached the level of stardom she deserved.  I've only watched the first two hours so far, but have already compiled a list of their films I want to see again (or in many cases, for the first time).
    Highly recommended.

I noticed that too - and I’ve noticed it on a number of other ads where the gent checks “hairy” or “very hairy” when the pics show a smooth body 🤷🏼‍♂️ I wonder if it’s a language thing - they think because they have a beard, and a full bush they’re considered “hairy”?

Hairy or not, this gent tics my boxes, tho if I had my druthers, I’d like him hairy 😉

If you have HBOMAX I highly recommend “Years and Years”. Six part series following one family, 3 generations, from 2019 forward 15 years. The great Anna Reid is perfect as the family matriarch. The hunky Russell  Tovey plays the gay brother with a few steamy scenes. Emma Thompson is brilliant as a hybrid Trump-Marin Le Pen type who gets into 10 Downing Street. I really loved the concept, the individual characters stories, the subplots - just a brilliant program! 👍🏻
