I don't answer the phone either as I am around other people all day. So I also prefer texting, and it's not a 'screening' thing at all. If it's that important to hear my voice, the client can ask me to call him back when I'm free, and I would do so provided he understands that this is a professional callback, not a personal one. You can't get too friendly with clients. Texting is great in that it's impersonal, and helps you keep that professional distance. I've gotten repeat voice calls like 15 minutes later from clients who want me to tell them again what I'd do to them lol. Voice calls can get a little personal, and you don't have the time to think about what to say like you do in a text message. So yeah, I prefer not to voice, unless the the client can keep it professional.

I stayed at the Room Mate Valentina hotel on Amberes (where there are several gay bars). I requested a room on a high floor after reading online about how noisy the street can be at night (with all the clubs), and that worked out well. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful, and they did not hassle me about bringing guys up to my room.
 
I had a good time at BB Show Bar on my second visit, when I hired Adriano (great escort/masseur - review submitted) to translate for me. I had gone on my own earlier in the trip; I don't speak Spanish, and that made it too hard to chat or negotiate private dances with the strippers. Adriano was a great translator and go-between, as well as good company.

I have been going to Campus since 1997. I will occasionally pop in for a drink on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon after buying some panties at Priape. Your assessment is not off, except very very rarely does a dancer straddle both shifts (ha, you may want an evening one straddling your stick shift, though).

I started a new thread, just to update this information for those that had questions about Johnson's in other older threads asking for current status.
 
I was there last weekend (first weekend of February as well as first weekend in January) and both weekends: Johnson's Club was crowded both with patrons and 30+ dancers. It only costs $10 for the entire evening to take dancers to the lap dance curtained cubicles. You do get the wrist band, so you are only charged one time for the evening, no matter how many dancers or times you go back to the cubicles. The curtains now have to remain open 4-6 inches in the center but its hard for anyone in the main stage room to see inside, plus they are facing the other direction towards the stage and dance pole. The cost paid to the dancer is $20 per song and the partially open curtain did not put dent in the fun.
There is also a $10 entrance fee charged if you arrive around 9pm, with reduced drink prices- beer and mixed drinks prior to 9pm. Mixed drinks are good size and strong. Bartenders are organized and real nice.
 
There were a wide range of dancer body types and really beautiful dancers there. I like the venue much better than Boardwalk or LeBoys. Also Johnsons in The Place for male strip in Ft. Lauderdale and has hurt the other two male strip bars. There is a fairly quick rotation of the dancers with about 4-5 at one time on the main room stage/pole at one time and then one dancer on the side room bar/stage with a pole. The dancers work the room for tips, but are not pushy at all about lap dances.

I hired a massage therapist that admitted some personal challenges that were slightly worrisome to me, the kind of pitiful stuff one wouldn't spread around. I was just in Mexico for a couple of days in Tijuana. At no time did I feel I was in danger. I spent some time at the stadium that the caravan was at (pics and video in my IG link) and other parts of town and at no time did I feel I was in danger. Why? Because I wasnt flashy with my clothes or electronics and when I interacted with people I was polite and humble. Seems that usually when tourists get into trouble is because they're drunk, stupid and cocky. And those I feel no sympathy for. On a happy note, I'm looking forward to my next trip to mi tierra Mexico and then Guatemala and Honduras this Spring.
