I have seen bachelorette parties at Campus and Stock before, but last night (Saturday) was the first time I have ever seen one at Taboo. There were 15-20 young women seated right around the stage, cheering for the dancers. But these were not the regular Taboo dancers. They had brought in 3 or 4 outside strippers (more like what you would see at a strip show for straight women), and the strippers did not even get naked. The party and show ended early (before 10:30) and all the women left.
I really like Taboo, but it seems like an odd place for this sort of event. I also felt badly for the regular Taboo dancers, who just had to stand around while the party was going on (the women did not interact with them at all). But the guys themselves did not seem unhappy about it. Maybe it ended early enough to not hurt their earnings too much? I thought they said this was a newish thing there, and I am sure the owner was happy to get the extra drink sales.
