    https://apple.news/AdMDv5YjRRFGWoJv8HMuABA
A van slammed into people gathered for Berlin’s famed Pride festival on Saturday night, killing one person, injuring at least 16 others and prompting police to call off the celebrations and a concert in the German capital hours after they had begun.
Berlin police said they have identified a suspect who has not been arrested and he has ties to Islamic groups in the German capital.
“The suspect is known to police. He is known to us as a member of Islamic circles here in Berlin, and our search for this person is proceeding at full speed,” said police spokesman Florian Nath. He did not identify the suspect by name.
Nath added that “we still have no information whatsoever regarding his specific motives, the exact sequence of events, or his role in the crime itself.”
Earlier, police said some of the victims had life-threatening injuries. In a post on X, police called on everyone to leave the site of the event immediately as ambulances and firefighters attended to the victims.

I am surprised so many men here prefer hotels considering the number of complaints about the cost of escorts.  I would rather pay the escort a bit more and not have to pay for a hotel.  When I first started hiring, I did use a hotel that was about a five minute walk from my home.  At that time, the hotel was between 69 and 99 dollars and I would often tell the escort he could keep the room until the morning and pay any extra charges such as mini bar.  I would go to the front desk, pay off the room and then have the escort come down and give his credit card for any additional balances.
I am more comfortable at my home.  When traveling, when I have a hotel room, I am glad to use that facility.  If I am hiring a traveller, if he wishes to have me come to his hotel, that is fine, but I give him the option of coming to my home and I will even go so far as to pick them up at their hotel.  If they are traveling with a friend, they are grateful to be able to leave the room to the friend for that time.
I have a portable restraint, that is on the bed in my guest room.  That is a handy item as well as knowing where the lube and toys are.  I will take the portable restraint to a hotel if the escort is willing to be restrained.  That way I do not have to take it out and then reset it.  It just goes under the mattress with each limb hold on a strap from the central strap.
So, home it is for me for the most part.  It makes me more comfortable, it is more affordable than getting a hotel and I feel safer.  I have my dogs and usually will mention that I may be having guests come by in a few hours, to add a never needed thus far, level of safety.  Never had anything taken, even during overnights.  And quite frequently I will get a souvenir pair of underwear  which was tossed and not retrieved.

I can't help but notice that gyms are now packed to the gills at all hours of the day and night - except Saturday night. The whole world wants to be fit and look good (and evidently go out on that one night of the week), even guys who used to be content with a simple, healthy look now collectively want to out-muscle one another. For those that advertise, I don't know if this has more to do with market competition being higher in general, or that they are more in-demand to be seen by more clients because of their increased size.
Muscles matter a great deal. The threads on here of some of the most ripped men available carry on for several pages. I've seen some at the Company of Men party, which is really cool (other than my terrified aversion to talk to most of them, which is rather unfounded).

+ m_writer reacted to + purplekow in *Why use rentmasseur when you want sex?
I just hired an escort from Rentmen.  He was noted in previous postings to give a so so massage but great extras.  Since I was only interested in the extras, I hired him as an escort and had a full hour of his sexual attention.  Foreplay consisted of pushing him against the wall and grinding him and then pushing him onto the bed.  If I had hired him as a masseuse, there would not be any guarantee of extras and even if there were, there would be the perfunctory massage, which was noted to be mediocre.  I spoke with him about this site afterwards and mentioned that I saw he also did massage.  I asked why he was now advertising on Rentmen.
He told me that he felt his massage was compromised by his uncertainty as to what the client expected.  There was the initial massage and then exactly how far did the client want to go.  As a result, he was concentrating on picking up subtle signs as to whether or not the client wanted more.  He did say some clients were straight forward about expectations, but that others were passive about it, which led him to be unsure as to how far to go.
I went for a massage a few months ago.  I wanted a therapeutic massage and told the provider that.  Nevertheless, within a few minutes, there was a naked hard cock in my face.  Well, it is impolite not to eat when offered a meal and so that was the road we travelled.  However, my back and shoulder were still sore when I left.

"Lucky" has been a regular poster here since the days of Hooboy and Daddy, both of whom he knew personally. When he moved to Palm Springs 22 years ago, he created the "Palm Springs Weekend," an opportunity for members of this website to get together and socialize. The first weekend consisted of a dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a party the next day; he organized and hosted both days. It became an annual event, as more and more site members who became residents or visitors in Palm Springs got involved in the activities. Now it is a regular part of this website's calendar, and site members come from all over the country and world every year to participate in the activities organized by many members.
Unfortunately, in recent years "Lucky" has suffered an onslaught of medical problems. I am sorry to have to report that I was called to the hospital yesterday, where he died in the late afternoon in the arms of his loving partner and his always supportive family members. Farewell, my longtime dear friend--my life here in Palm Springs will be emptier without you.

Selling the stocks accepts one realized failure and it’s punctuated. Done. No additional money owing unless an outstanding balance from your first 401K loan. And other debts based on credit. No additional gamble if you outright cease speculative concentrated stock positions.
I don’t know how it works in the US but I believe you can carry forward the stock capital losses for a certain period of time. But I guess that’s based on ever cashing resources that grew.
Borrowing $30,000 to repay the recent lender is loss aversion dressed as financial planning. There appears to be some degree of ongoing gamble borrowing from the 401K, as you would be propping that loan with risk. You also did not clarify the initial loan balance (your first loan). You are putting your assumptions of employment security and paycheque cash flow behind any advance taken from your 401K that is actually diversified and presumably growing … perhaps gains to date are in fact a silver lining.
Not borrowing from any accrued gains that represents a proportion of your portfolio balance allows you to enjoy growth that was independent of any personal action. A loss attributable to your own choices (ie,  continuing to second-guess with stock purchases) is more likely to keep you up at night. There’s a certain freedom in not being impelled to keep your market graphs open on your device 24/7.
My own equivalent: all mutual funds, RRSP, converted to RRIF at age 72 with minimum annual taxable withdrawals, has grown remarkably the past 30 months, certainly loads better than the net gain I ever enjoyed playing the stock market for shits and giggles a few years prior to retirement.
Focus on job security because it obligates investment retirement savings and prevents a loan balance from premature taxation in the event of employment loss, and a clear expenses budget that has a bit more breathing room because you are not dinged with loan payback paycheque deductions and associated loan interest even considering that interest goes back into the fund.

This is why!   Pay off the personal loan.  Pay off the credit cards.  Sell every investment not in a retirement account, if necessary, to pay the debts.  Stop investing anything, into retirement accounts or elsewhere, until all debts besides a 15-yr fixed rate mortgage are paid off.  This includes car loans and 0% interest loans.  The MATH might convince you to stay in debt to chase returns.  But the MATH won't save you when you've maxed out your 0% introductory credit card offers and can't pay rent or buy food.  Imagine becoming the homeless man at the shelter:  "I could get a house and food, but that would mean selling my investments at a loss.  I can't do that!"
100% of foreclosures happen on homes with a mortgage.  Stop chasing high risk, sell now and pay off debt.

+ m_writer reacted to + JamesB in I am in a bad spot - again
Sell the stocks and repay the debt immediately. Do not take a 401(k) loan to cover this. The money was borrowed for a specific purpose that no longer exists and using it for speculative stock trading was already a mistake. Keeping it tied up in a losing position only makes things worse.
This is a personal loan from someone you know and failing to repay on time risks damaging the relationship and your reputation. Your own track record shows that chasing a turnaround in stocks has not worked for you and continuing to hope for a quick recovery is closer to gambling than investing.
The loss hurts but selling now stops the bleeding and lets you move forward. A smaller remaining portfolio is far better than letting this situation create a bigger financial and personal problem.

+ m_writer reacted to Phixi0101 in Jack Ryan in Palm Springs
I've had two (three????) very disparate interactions with Jack Ryan since March 2026:
    1) March 2026.  I was in La Quinta/Palm Springs and met him at my hotel.  We had previously connected the year before and planned to meet but he was leaving LA for Palm Springs due to a break up and had to cancel.  We met in March and it was pleasant.  He charged 350/hr. He was late.  We decided that I would just give him oral.  He came.  It was nice. We talked a bit after and he told me that he was an IT consultant.  We started talking about AI and he suggested I look into Claude CoWork based on some of the stuff I was doing (as you will see later, he chose to see this as offering IT consultation).  He also mentioned that he was in the process in moving back to LA and was looking for places and was able to stay with his sister.  I told him I wanted to be topped by him and would love to see spend some time with him (maybe a couple times) when he was next in LA.  He offered to drive to LA for an additional fee of 225 or we could do two hours (650) and he would plan to run errands when he was here.  We opted on 2 nights at 2 hours each on a Friday and Saturdy in April and he would stay with his sister and run errands.  He asked for 50% in advance.  This would have raised a red flag but since I had previously met with him I went ahead and sent it to him. 650 advanced
A week before we were supposed to meet he emailed me stating he was at a hotel because the AC at his place was out and could I advance him another 100 toward the upcoming weekend. Advanced 100 more (total 750)
The next day he said the AC part had come in but he needed to stay in the hotel another night.  Could I advance another 100.  Advanced 100 more (850 total advanced for 1300 engagement)
    2) April 2026.  We had planned to meet at 7pm.  He texts me a couple hours before to tell me he was just leaving Palm Springs.  I asked for his ETA and he mentioned that he would be driving into LA and driving back that night.  I asked him about our plans for the next night and he mentioned that his sister had guests so he was going to have to drive back.  He wasn't going to get their until late for our 2 hours so I offered to get him a hotel (I have a lot of points) to make it easier for him, and he accepted. He was then further delayed from departing PS for a number of reasons and then was delayed again because he had to charge his car midway.  He arrived several hours late.  He was obviously tired (hell, so was I at that point!) and after some discussion, he suggested I just give him oral that night and we would do more the next night.  This was a very different experience from the first time.  He was unengaged, looking at his phone and, honestly, couldn't deliver.  He said that never happened and that he was just tired.  As he was leaving he asked that I give him some cash toward the next night and he took 300 (total payout at that point was 1150). I made sure he got into the hotel down the road and got settled in.
    3) The next day I checked in with him around noon.  He said he slept well and was having a good day.  He confirmed that we would see each other at 7pm that night.  At 7:05, when I hadn't heard from him I reached out to see where he was. After not hearing from him I called him.  He answered and sounded very sick.  He said he had food poisoning, or something and couldn't keep anything down.  He said he was very week and unable to drive home.  I offered to keep him in the hotel for another night and had some soup (chicken noodle) and some water/electrolyte drinks sent to him room.  Bottom line, he remained ill and week through Tuesday.  He allegedly had a video call with his doctor on Monday.  He checked out on Tuesday (after 4 nights) and said he would drive home and stop to sleep on the way if needed. He was very appreciative of all the care I had given him and his specific text to me on his last day in the hotel was " And once I'm feeling better we can plan a proper second night.  I'd still like to make that happen."  After he left and I got the bill, I learned that I had paid for his parking (which he agreed to cover)
I checked in with him once he got home.  He was still sick but very appreciative and again commented that he was looking forward to our next time and being healthy for it. He indicated that he hoped to be feeling better in a few days and we could check in.
I checked in a week later and he said he was still not 100%.  I mentioned that I had used Claude for a project and it had worked well.
Two weeks later I checked in to see how he was.  Was getting better but still not there. He said he would let me know when he was planning to be back in LA and we could figure out a way to connect.
FInally, about a month later, I noticed that his RM profile was active and that he was in SF.  I reached out to him to see how he was and mentioned that I saw him online.  I got a message back that he "was a professional and will handle it in the future" but that he was still sick.  He said he was in SF to attend his dad and stepmom's wedding (and I guess decided to update his location on his profile) and that it was probably his assistant who was online responding to messages.
It was at that point that I knew for sure that I would not be having a second session or seeing my pre-paid $$ again.
To my surprise, Jack reached out to me this past Saturday.  His message said, "Hi Steve.  I've been meaning to respond but had some work to do on myself.  I got sober and I'm in a much better place these days."
I responded and thanked him for responding to me and letting me know how he was doing.  I told him I didn't know he was dealing with sobriety issues and was glad to hear he was addressing them. I mentioned that if that had anything to do with the sickness he experienced when we met the last time I hope having a place to stay for a few days helped that that that was my gift to him.  I would do that for anyone I could.
I then asked if he was still seeing clients and if we could either set up a time to get together or if he would return the deposit.
His response was that he wanted to reach out and share something personal and that he wasn't expecting to talk about business.  He understood my perspective but, from his, it was a "discounted arrangement and the whole situation just wasn't good for either of us.  He then stated that because he has suggested Claude to me as a tool (5 minute conversation!) and basically implied I should consider the remainder a consulting fee. He said my "monitoring him online" made him uncomfortable (he was listed as a RM buddy and it showed that he was active....) and, as a result he wouldn't be seeing me again.
I am fine with that fact that I spent a lot of my resources taking care of a sick person (assuming he was genuinely sick) and I hope he does find sobriety.  But he took an additional 500 from me and doesn't feel any obligation to make it right.
Shame on me for that. But I am going to share this with others so they are educated about him.  One of the steps in recovery is holding oneself accountable for one's actions. Even just apologizing would have been a step.  He has a long way to go.
I have documentation of all these conversations and payments.  A part of me wants to send the link to this post to him.  But I realize I made the mistake of trusting him.  I will leave it here.

    https://rentmen.eu/AnthonyFlex
The old thread on this provider is closed, so I started this new one. This meeting was horrible, and I would recommend anyone thinking about seeingf Anthony seriously reconsider,
I was browsing through ads tonight when Anthony messaged me through RM chat. He told me he was in NYC and asked if I wanted to come over. I was in the mood for some fun, so I decided to try. I was a bit hesitant since the last review he had was 2* and said he couldn't perform, but I had met him years ago and thought I'd try anyway.
After getting to the location he gave me, I texted to let him know I was there.  He sent me a door code, which was wrong. Someone exiting the building tried to help me, but he couldn't get it to work either. He texted me a different door code, which I tried and some lady answered, not knowing who he was. I texted and asked him to come down to get me. After waiting for several minutes and hearing nothing from him, I decided to leave.
He convinced me to come back, and when I got there, we finally figured out the buzzer issue, and he buzzed me in. I went into the lobby, wiating for him to send me the apartment number, which he never did. I sat in the lobby for about 10 minutes with him not responding to any texts.
I finally got up and left, letting him know he'd get a horrible review. Of course, that's when he decided to text me back. He said he was busy and wasn't able to host. That was a load of crap, and I asked why would he ask me to come over if he couldn't host. he then told me he was trying to fix it and give him a few minutes. I told him I was going home, and he said he was trying to get another guy to replace him, which I never asked for.
All told, I think he probably arranged to meet someone else at the same time and was trying to rearrange to make sure he could get both of us or send me to someone else. After seeing the multiple bad reviews in the last year and a half, I would tell anyone to look for another provider.
In addition to all this, RentMen refused to post my review. I have been a premium member for years and have several reviews on the site. They said the meeting didn't happen, but I have the texts and told them I could screenshot them and send them as proof. This is bad if people can't leave a review about a provider who is flaking like this, so I cancelled my premium membership.

    Hi all,
I personally wanted to share some experiences regarding my use of descovy. I noticed that when I began using it around 4 years ago, I would experience weird tingly cool sensations around my body. I assumed that was normal and even a sign of medicinal internal uptake.

Recently, the cool sensations became more intense, accompanied by all-over-the-body itching, pain, loose yellow stools (NOT accompanied with the painful stomach sensation of diarrhea), and cognitive slowdowns/headaches/physical imbalance/ etc.
Doctor told me that descovy and sometimes truvada, for a rare subset of people, can induce rare side effects like lactic acidosis, which can lead to a bunch of these symptoms.

Since the day of halting descovy, my symptoms have drastically improved.
I am halting sex for now while I figure out what HIV preventative medication will be best for me. Likely apretude.
Onto another topic: Doxy-pep  overuse also seemed to have irritated my pancreas somewhat. It’s another rare side effect. I have refrained from using it and my pancreas has improved.

It is important that you take medications designed to prevent the transmission of disease, but always be in touch with your doctor about what might work best for you, and what can be improved. I definitely don’t want someone to take away from this that they shouldn’t use PrEP at all.
