Thank you. Some people are genuinely interested in hearing about other people's lives and family & culture is an important part of our life. It would be sad to have this lumped into some weird association with racism and therefore lost as a social norm in conversation.

Some people here are old. Do you ONLY hang around young people ? Because LOTS of people "talk like this". Good luck...because everything in NYC is fast becoming like working with a foreign currency. Hotels, restaurants, and entertainment ( including adult ) is EXPENSIVE here. There are a few exceptionally handsome men who I have listed on Rent.men that I consider hiring if they ever make it to NYC. More than once, I've noticed their $300/hr Florida or California rate surge to $500/hr when they enter the New York market for a week.

Absolutely not. You seem passionate about the subject so I thought you might like to share some insight and example since you seem to disagree with some of the viewpoints offered.

We USED TO care. But a court decision declared mentally ill people could not be held against their will. Self Determination is a Constitutional Right unless you've been proven to be an immediate threat to yourself or others. So now mentally ill people are cast into the streets until they attack someone, steal or destroy property. In those cases they STILL don't end up with the care they need, they simply end up in jail sentences one after another. It's a very sad situation, that is caught up in a bizarre argument that ends up doing more harm than good.

You're still arguing instead of discussing. Why don't you share a personal example of how you feel you suffered when someone asked you about your nationality or ethnicity? Everyone has a different experience. Feel free to share yours. You seem to be passionate about the subject. Why not share a viewpoint instead of just arguing about terminology ?

I just showed you by definition "wokeism" is a sociological term. "Right-wing" is a political term. We can discuss the subject from a sociological viewpoint but politics needs to stay neutral No comments bashing the "left" or the "right" and we will keep things moving along without name calling.

Let's not start throwing political terminology around please. There are no "right wing" members here. Just people who might maintain a more conservative approach to their opinions about social changes. Others here want broader more immediate changes. Some don't want change at all. Everyone has different viewpoints. No need to put them into extreme boxes of political theory.

What is most sad to me is that the mere notice that someone might have some INTERESTING cultural story to tell, is now jumped on by some as "racist" What a sad place we are headed in American culture when you can't even CELEBRATE our differences.
