Wow. You can actually smell the bile bubbling up in this thread. I have been aware of the guy for most of my life, but his existence has always been mostly meaningless to me. We all know that Christian Conservatives like to "bible-thump" to make themselves appear more holy. Anti-gay rhetoric is only one of the usual narratives that get spun from their pulpit. I just switch it off and go about my business. WHY, I ponder are so many of you so triggered by this person ? He doesn't seem any different from the millions of other bible-belt-Baptists. Was there something he actually DID that went beyond the usual religious conservative viewpoints of his faith ?

And I will point out that strategy backfired when the gays tried this with the blacks back in the 90s. Not every social justice movement is compatible. As much as I might agree that ones heart is in the right place when you want to want to help every disenfranchised group....but.... when you have your own battle to fight, on-boarding a bigger problem is going to negatively impact your own mission. You can support Transgender rights without making it your own battle. ( Which is my personal position in the matter ). I don't need MY civil rights dragged into a battle over where a cross-dresser can pee.

I would never commit the funding toward a two hour session with someone who I have never met. There have been too many encounters where I wanted to leave after half an hour. I will stop short and pay for the hour. But I'm not paying hundreds of dollars for a two hour session to try-out a provider.

We spent the weekend in a forest in New Jersey. The air was fresh and clean under the canopy of pine trees and cooled with a cold fresh stream. We returned to NYC last night with air quality much improved in the city.

I think there's a lot of that in general when you're dealing with gay men on meet-up sites. Ah ! yes. A very good point. Instagram culture has exaggerated the usual teenage social angst and busy parents who are never home with their kids anymore eliminated the normal emotional support system that older generations enjoyed.

My health certainly suffered. My gym was closed for over a year. I myself drank far more than I normally would. So much so I decided to just STOP for six months to reset my brain. I didn't get outside as much as I normally would and I put on five or more pounds of fat, and I've never had any weight issues in my life. So yeah. Sitting at home for months was definitely causing me more health problems than Covid 19 did. I am unaware of ever having it...although they now say 90% of the population had it even if they were unaware.
