I've traveled extensively in Africa. There is a lot of bigotry from region to region, especially in Islamic North Africa about being associated with native black African cultures. I've only been to the Eagle once or twice...but my impression of the whole leather / denim scene is that it is rather centered around a very specific segment of gay culture. Exactly. Too many people think sexuaity is black and white. If you step outside your neighborhood gay bar you'd discover the world comes in a wide array of shades.
