  1. I think it's really important to keep the venues in context. Before I started escorting, I would occasionally meet men on Grindr/Scruff who offered to pay me for my time, before it even crossed my mind. These guys would usually offer, say, $100 for a quick blowjob. It was a quick one-time off thing (usually) and 100% physical. It truthfully wasn't much different from any other Grindr hookup, just with an added bonus at the end, and often unexpected.

The difference is that RM and similar websites have a clientele there for that express purpose, and the clientele using RM are looking for more than just a blow-n-go. They want your time and companionship along with (or even in spite of!) your body. Men who hire regularly and purposefully are also usually more successful than Joe Everyguy from Grindr, and are able to afford the higher rates.

Nowadays, if a man on Grindr tells me he's generous, I tell him my standard rate, and he usually scoffs at me. Says I'm insane. The only guy I've personally talked to on Grindr who agreed to my fee never actually showed up. So I can understand the temptation to lower his rates. Whether that affects his performance or not is hard to say.

I don’t have a problem paying the RM rate. It just surprised me that he would quote a much lower rate when we chatted on Grindr. Details weren’t discussed, so I’m not sure what would have been involved in the session.

  2. I was chatting with someone on Grindr who turned out to be a visiting escort. We discussed fees, etc. The fees quoted were substantially less than the fees listed on his Rentmen profile. He also had a massage ad on A4A that referenced “special rates”.

In situations like this, should I expect the level of service to be less as well (depending on the venue through which I hire him)? Is it simply a way for him to guarantee any income while visiting?

I’m not prone to haggling and would feel uncomfortable bringing up the discrepancy between rates.

  3. Alex Lawther was in an episode of Black Mirror. Shut Up and Dance. He was the kid blackmailed after he was recorded masterbating in front of his computer.

Unfortunately I haven’t watched Black Mirror yet. That’s in my “to watch list”, along with dozens of other series and countless movies (and that’s not counting what I have pegged in Hulu)
