  1. Do you plan to stream video onto said tv?

I do, for at least Netflix, Amazon Prime, plus any premium "on demand" movie channels available. I am comparing Apps currently available on each, the future upgrades that may be available, and the Roku 4K. While I'd love to spring for a 60 inch OLED 4K, my wallet's leaning toward a regular 4K at this point. I think I miss the days when 19' vs 25' cabinet choices were the only concern.

  2. Vizio, for the price point, is really worth it.

After a head spinning afternoon (OLED? I just learned about the existence of 4K for God's sake). It came down to the Vizio vs Samsung. A high end Vizio with a 240 refresh rate is about $800 to $1,200 less than the comparable Samsung. I need to read up a bit more, but Cnet raves about the Vizio M series, so I'm pretty much leaning that way.

  3. I have a wonderful Samsung smart tv

I've actually been looking at these, a 4K Ultra. The prices have dropped like crazy since last year. I'm not very tech savvy, when it mentions web browsing, does it mean it will play videos from any web site? That would solve the AMC issue for me.

  4. I'd love to cut the cord. I watch a few shows faithfully on networks and channels like AMC, and I have all of the movie channels. I just saw an article that said that cable and dish prices are expected to increase $10-$15 this year. As more of the movie channels become available independently and through Amazon Prime, it gives me more of an incentive to dump cable.
