I also think that's one reason upsells often happen halfway into the session instead of upfront. But I have this thought in general in life: don't do things for other people in the hopes they will give you something back. Inevitably this will lead to resentment and disappointment. Holding someone accountable for not returning a gesture or gift you yourself (I'm talking broadly here, not specifically about providers) chose to give unprompted doesn't sit well with me. I have to put this into context that where I live there is no tipping custom whatsoever. Waiters don't get tipped, hotel staff don't get tipped etc. Though the tourist industry staff do know how to spot Americans and will suddenly start angling for tips hahaha.

I have a similar experience to the other poster, though, and have found it not to be complete nonsense. I too avoid profiles that have these words in them. I've found that the more "exclusive" and "high class" the profile claims to be, the worse the service is. I'm not saying this is the case for every single profile that uses these words, but there's enough experiences from different clients to at least take notice and be cautious around them.

Sounds like a lovely time! My experiences have been good overall too. Though very few stay the full 30 minutes in the room with me (usually about 15 to 20 minutes and that's with me actively slowing things down), so I'm happy you got 40 minutes both times!

To be fair, there are a lot of providers who will check all boxes to show up in searches while not actually providing that particular service. One provider recently came to this board complaining clients were asking him to top because he had vers/bottom on his profile (and he was a self-described only bottom). I've learned to always, always, ALWAYS double check through text whatever info is given in the ad and have been surprised how often what is mentioned in the ad does not line up with what they are actually offering.

I think I'm only one of two clients who hires in Brussels that are active on these forums so I'm not sure if it would be relevant. The last one I mentioned has retired. Neither have been active on these forums.
