Fool me twice...  Learn a lesson and bring your own fucking condoms.

Sure and I try. Except that sometimes stress, excitement and anxiety get the better of me and I still forget even if I had them lying by the door to grab when I go out because I'm not a paid professional who does this for a living.

You're confusing posters. The three times did not happen to me. What happened to me was that they had condoms but no lube. Since then I always try to bring my own lube and condoms. To me it's akin to a masseur saying he didn't bring massage oil and asking the client if he has some. I still think it's not unreasonable to expect a professional who is being paid a premium fee to have the tools on hand to deliver the services he's hired for.

Should he bring his own condoms?  Yes!

I think this applies to both clients and escorts. Basically if you're gonna be topping, bring your own condoms if you want to make sure they are a good fit.

Lube, on the other hand, is something escorts really ought to have on hand (quite literally in some cases, LOL).

I once planned a session with an escort a few hours in advance. In those hours, the escort had found the time to go out for lunch and shop for a new fan for his bedroom, but not to buy lube. Which he told me when the session was well underway. 🤷‍♂️

So you're really out here admitting that even after the first two times, you didn't, as a top, bring your own god damn condoms, and along the way felt it was necessary to highlight the ethnicity of the guys?

    I give up

If you have a bad experience with one hairdresser having bad tools (blunt scissors, faulty clippers) do you then bring your own scissors, clippers and blowdryer to every new hairdresser you go to? Escorts are hired to provide a professional service, this service requires tools. I don't think it's unreasonable for the professional to have the tools he needs to provide the service he's being paid for.

I've had it happen twice that an escort didn't have lube. Now I always try to think of bringing my own but I often forget.

And I think bitching about it, shows a lack of respect and solidarity for sex workers.

I'm sorry if I came across as bitching about it, I'm definitely not. I'm just curious as to the motivations behind the difference some escorts have  between clients and non-clients regarding perceived risks.

Gonorrhea can just as easily be transferred by oral and I know very few escorts who use a condom for that.

If you're having sex with someone, thinking that not kissing them will keep you safe from COVID or a cold... That's not how that works.

  5. 5 hours ago, Dante said:

but if it says right there safe only, where's the issue?

Because it happens way too often that profiles will have conflicting info (for instance in the text say "safe only" then list "anything goes") or escorts will list things in their profile that they don't actually do (kissing is often the big culprit here). I'm sure you've thought your profile through and make sure it accurately represents all services you offer but it's sometimes very fustrating trying to figure out if what an escort is offering will be compatible with what I'd like to have happen in a session.

    5 hours ago, Dante said:

I don't doubt it happens, I'm just curious how you got the sense that it's happening more frequently than before.

Oh no, I said I'm simply noticing it myself more and more. I never made any claims that it's happening more or less frequently than in the past.

As for where I get my data from, I've been hiring for 7 years and have also befriended a few escorts off the clock (with whom I never or no longer have a professional relationship with). I talk about these things with them, I ask about it.

guess this thread was started by you because of some personal interactions with escorts, right? Have you asked them to BB with you?

Yeah true. I've been more into bareback and during the pandemic a lot of guys stopped their Rentmen profiles where I live. Many of them have stayed over on the Hunqz platform, not reactivating their Rentmen. Hunqz doesn't have a listing for safe or not so you have to ask them directly. That's partly how I started noticing it.

I don't find it puzzling.  There are all sorts of reasons why someone would be willing to bareback when making porn:  It sells better.  They can, if they desire, make sure everyone does a rapid test before filming.  They have an opportunity to know their partners better.  There are all sorts of reasons why someone might not choose to bareback with a client: No economic benefit to it. Don't know the other person's health/sexual history.  Don't want to have bareback sex with 100 men per year, just a chosen few other performers.

Besides that, just because someone claims he uses condoms with clients doesn't mean that he always uses condoms with clients.  I've had escorts who selected "Safe Sex Only" in their ad try to bareback me.  I've seen ads where that selection is changed frequently between "Safe Sex Only" and the other two options, "Ask Me" or "Anything Goes."  I'm not sure what that's about.  Testing the market to see if one response leads to more inquiries?  Knowing that they currently have something so they want to use condoms temporarily?  Fluidity with respect to their adherence to wearing condoms for anal sex?

I agree about the risk mitigation in porn (although I wonder about the self-produced porn) but why the difference between random hookups and clients? I don't think they're taking inventory of a random guy's sexual history or practices who they fuck off of Grindr. Just wondering aloud to myself mostly.

I generally agree about the bareback ones used in porn, however, it seems to border on false advertising when RentMen escorts show them barebacking on their RM videos, and then list "safe only" on their profiles.  Its almost the same as using photos that are not theirs, even if they are similar.

Barebacking or not is certainly their choice, but their RM profile is to advertise their services and not intended to be videos on a porn site.

I completely agree. I once contacted an escort who had "ask me" in his profile and all his pictures were of him barebacking, he told me he only fucked with a condom...

don't understand why they don't also trust clients who claim to be on PrEP, especially considering is easier to keep it hard BB with someone they're not attracted to and who is hiring them...

This is what I'm thinking too. I get the porn angle, but why differentiate bareback and condom between personal sex and clients?

  7. I've been noticing more and more that escorts will bareback on their online videos (often self-produced) and with their personal hookups but only use condoms with clients. I find this puzzling. Not judging, just curious. For the filming I could understand that since they're all supposed to be professionals, they are getting regular health checks. But hookups don't necessarily.

Good communications, but he forgot that I listed kissing in my requirements. He showed up and said outright - in a friendly manner - that he doesn’t kiss. Once I pointed out to him the kissing requirement in my text to him, we agreed to not start anything and parted company. Yet another former “porn star” escort who doesn’t kiss clients. A mystery to me. And at $300 an hour. He no longer has flat, sculpted abs, but he’s got plenty of muscle.

Thanks for reporting back. Sad to hear he doesn't kiss as that's also a prerequisite for me and he's totally my type.

I do think he handled it well, parting ways without asking for compensation.

Yeah the no kissing puzzles me. I once had a conversation about it with an escort (I was friends with him and met him off the clock). He didn't kiss his clients but would kiss his hookups. He couldn't really give an answer other then "I just don't". I wonder if it's something to do with them not being fully, completely at ease with the thought of being a sex worker and so they have to keep a piece of themselves "not for sale". I once had a session with a guy who would kiss but then absolutely refused to cuddle naked after sex saying "that's only for boyfriends". 🤷‍♂️

The fries were amazing. As were the various stews, like rabbit.  Yummmm.  I definitely want to return and see more of your beautiful country.  Bruges, Ghent... both on my bucket list.

You visited Belgium without seeing Bruges or Ghent?? Those are the 2 cities I always put on the must-see list. Well actually, Ghent and Antwerp. Brussels feels too much like a generic big European city, depending which part of it you visit. But Antwerp and Ghent really have that Flemish vibe. Bruges is beautiful historical city but I've only been a handful of times.

maybe we'll see the increase of folks on RM on that location.

I think most guys here use planetromeo (now just called Romeo), well, the hunqz part of that site. It's better known here. I think they might get more clients through there.

I've been to Belgium once but only focused on the museums, chocolate and beer.   🤷‍♂️

Those are excellent things to focus on. I would suggest also our fries, if you should ever come back.

  11. As of this week, sex work has been fully legalized in Belgium. Which surprised me, because I thought it already was. It kind of was... It wasn't illegal to be or hire a sex worker, but everything around it was illegal: banks and accountants could not support sex workers in their business etc. That's all changed now, sex workers can now register as self-employed as a sex worker with full transparency and get all the same benefits.

It's even legal now to hire sex workers as employees and have them work for you to see other clients. So kind of like a legal framework for pimping, but with full protection for the sex workers based on Belgian employment law.

Apparently we are the first European country to do this (so the spokesperson claimed. Which confused me as I thought Germany and the Netherlands already had this. But legal nuances are sometimes hard to keep track of)

I'm really happy! Not sure how many working boys will actually start to report their income though hahaha.

  13. A friend of mine had a session with Max at Top Men Spa yesterday. He was completely satisfied with it. He said Max is just as described here: muscular, cute face and slight furry chest. He recommends booking Max! He booked Max based on the recommendations of this board so thanks to everyone who reports back! :)

Agree completely...beautiful spa, big rooms (no cramped closets, roomy showers, more than adequate water closets)...friendly guys.  And I have always liked Max (I have followed him from Super Men's to the 27th street facilities) - more than competent masseur, hits all my bad spots and makes them better and SO CUTE!  Guys, spend your $$$ here.

Is Top Men Spa located at 224 W 35th St?

I used to go to Shangrila before covid and now returning.  I see the good reviews on Mike.  Are there others I should try in case Mike not available?  Pre covid I used to see Jorge or Rodrigo (I understand they are not there anymore sadly).

Rodrigo was an absolute gem. I'm so sad he's not there anymore. Does anyone know if he's at any of the other spas or working independently?

Asshole confirmed. When I texted him, he asked if I was white or latino. When I said Asian, he texted back rude and belittling words.

Oh gosh. Well at least he let you know upfront not to book him!

The use of a la carte pricing is a warning sign. Tells me he’s only doing the work for the money and not also because he intrinsically enjoys it. Hence the mechanical massage style and indifference to timing. I’m sorry you experienced this.
If my client cums early in the session I carry on. Sometimes they cum again, sometimes not but there’s still lots of feel good work you can do on him to make the session memorable.
Before you give a bad review contact him and tell him you were not satisfied and see what he does. You can mention his response, if any, in the review.

I did bring it up with him when he asked me at the end of the session if I could leave a positive review. He looked annoyed and said he could give me table massage for an hour next time with half an hour on the bed to make up for it (no mention of price though, so he might as well have upped it). I was not interested in repeating a mechanical massage. He was dismissive and irritated at me bringing it up (although props to him he did try to hide his irritation. You can tell when someone is forcing themselves to stay friendly.)

A la carte was the wrong wording. He has tiers. He's an escort with professional massage training and he offers therapeutic massages to full sex sessions. His price is determined on what tier you want (therapeutic being the cheapest). But yeah, it really felt like he was phoning it in.

I'm really not a stickler for time; if the massage and extras were phenomenal, but it only lasted 45-50 minutes, that's OK with me.  Quality, not quantity.

Yes but the massage was mechanical. I felt like he was thinking of what needed to be put on his grocery list while he was massaging me. Also the "extras" in this session weren't extras, they were all agreed upon beforehand and the fee was set accordingly by the masseur (he uses à la carte pricing). He didn't give me surprise extras that weren't already included in the price. If that were the case I might also have been more lenient.

But I do have an issue with time, especially with massages. There really is no reason not to give the agreed upon time. I don't think we would be good clients either if we did not pay the full agreed upon price after the session.

Did you complain about it when he said it was over after just 40 mins?

    Where you expecting a HE?

I did complain, that's when he gave his justifications. The HE was part of the session, yes.

I have had experiences where after I came, the provider went back to work giving me the full amount of time I scheduled for.

Exactly. I would have even been happy with just cuddles and maybe some kisses to fill the remaining time. But nope, I came, he got the tissues, threw on his pants and left the room.
