All of this sounds like a low-mid level Kspa.
You don't go to a place like this to fuck or hook up.  It's not a gay bath.
The problem is that so many gay guys don't respect the rules that these facilities end up closing things because of it.
Quit fucking up my Kspa experiences, thanks.  Just go, respect custom, relax, enjoy.

I think it's a nice place, although I went there pre-covid when it was open 24 hrs., spent the night, and came home with welts all over my body.  I assume they were bed bug bites. There was an area with about 50 large leather recliners where I slept. I've been back a couple times since, but didn't go anywhere near those chairs!

If I book a 60 minute massage and the upselling starts as soon as the masseur enters the room and continues despite my saying "no thanks", I think it's reasonable to leave early and pay for the time I've used.
He didn't work for anywhere close to 30 minutes and I definitely did not get a massage. My expectations are pretty  low, but this was not an acceptable experience.
    This was at 28 Men's.

Yes, I agree.  This used to be my favorite, but moved quickly to the bottom of my list after a few mediocre experiences.  I've started going back based on feedback on this thread.  Definitely are stepping up their game.

I agree with MarkNY with walls that go all the way to ceiling and doors, in addition a quiet room with an appropriate temperature.  The two worse things in my book: don't solicit or bargain for tips and absolutely don't cut the session short.  That drives my business elsewhere permanently.

When I booked with Rox, no talk of money ever occurred and timing was good.

Not negating your experience just sharing that’s not always the case!

I don't recommend Rox - VERY strong upsell, and shorted on time.

I went not too long ago. It was a decent spot a while back. But within the past year it’s gone downhill IMHO.

I’ve been upsold a few times, massage quality has been meh at best and it has a musty odor.

I agree about negotiations within the massage time.  Total turn off and immediately I just say "no thanks, just a massage", I give a tip that I would for a normal massage, and I don't return.

No thank you to energy or grandee for me both not super clean. TSMS could use a makeover .  But to each his own! If you prefer energy grandee go for it.  How do we truly know who’s gay ?  We are paying them for a service, or do you want to just support a gay individual?

Totally agree about the makeover, I've posted before about the drop in service at TS and the up selling and attitude, etc etc etc... oh well, life goes on and we find other spots, their loss 🤷‍♂️

TSMS used to be good; floor to ceiling walls with doors, clean, shower in one of the rooms.  Alvin always delivered.  Now I can see why he left - it's really gone downhill.  Towels smell moldy and don't seem clean, a revolving door of masseurs, every one that I've tried over the past approx. year have negotiated tip.  Had Wynn a week or so ago; excellent massage for the first 30 min.  I thought he was going to be a repeat, but then, 30 min into the "good" massage, I flipped over and the strong negotiations began.  It was so overwhelming that I almost got up and left.  Such a turnoff.  TSMS is finally off my rotation of spas.  Too bad, I liked it there.

I don't recommend Philip. He started negotiating tip, said he couldn't say how much was a "good tip", but when I offered him $50 he said it was way too low.  Times Square Men Spa used to be my go-to, but is no longer good, especially since Alvin left.  Disappointing

spaman reacted to JackNYC in NYC - Massage Parlors w/ Older Masseurs
No, that’s not what happened or why people are upset. The fact that older masseurs are not part of the standard business massage parlor model was actually acknowledged by the original poster which is why he was asking for some exceptions that may have some older masseurs on staff.
You replied with a crass restaurant analogy that was basically a false equivalency; nobody wants old food and clearly many people reading the forum prefer older masseurs for a variety of reasons, regardless of whether or not you think it’s a fetish.  Then you doubled down with more immature, inflammatory comments (“stale bread” “old-man fetish” etc), and insisted you that all you did was state a “FACT.”
To put it more simply, you yucked somebody’s yum, and that’s just lame, unproductive, and not in the spirit of the forum.
