  1. I’m impressed by your confidence that the Kenny you think you saw was in fact the Kenny and not Wayne pulling a double shift.
  2. Wow! I replayed the experience over and over in my head to think if there was any way that I was the one who misunderstood the day it happened to me and I concluded that there wasn't. Your post confirms that they must do this all the time - sorry that happened to you. Bad business practices to say the least!
  3. I’m not attacking anyone personally or saying the massage wasn’t good. I already said the massage itself was excellent. My issue was that I specifically asked for Shaun and genuinely believed I was booking with Shaun. If there was a misunderstanding, ok, but from my perspective it felt very misleading since Shaun’s name was mentioned multiple times on the phone and again when I arrived. I still stayed for the appointment because I was already there, and again, the massage was great. I’m simply sharing my experience honestly, the same way anyone else would. Just be honest with your customers, it goes a long way. No hard feelings, but after all this I’ll probably take my business elsewhere. Luckily there’s no shortage of options in the city.
  4. I had a session with Wayne too. I thought he gave a great massage, he's very skilled and aimed to please. Won't repeat though because I called for an appointment with Shaun, I specifically asked for Shaun, asked if he was working, they said yes, asked when his next availability was, they said anytime, I asked if I could come in "now" they said yes. Wayne answered the door and I could tell when he started talking that it was the same guy who answered the phone. I told him I had an appointment with Shaun, he said yes, ok, but I looked around and didn't see him there. I thought maybe he was using the restroom or something. Wayne showed me to my room, I said I'm having Shaun, right and he said yes. After I got on the table, Wayne came in and I said what's your name, you aren't Shaun. He played the game that he didn't understand what I was saying, then he said ohhhhh, Shaun only on Sundays, I'm ok? I almost got up and left I was so pissed off, but I stayed, got a good massage, and I took it out of his tip (although I still tipped more than I should have). Even though it was a great massage, I won't repeat with him and I won't fall for that again.
  5. Yeah, I like Kenny, but he did the same to me, which is basically asking for a big tip. He does a good job and should be tipped accordingly, but turned me off slightly. I got over it though, and was relaxed when I left, haha.
  6. Does anyone know where Shawn from Time Square Men Spa is now, or Terry from Paris Men's Spa? Lost track of both of them. Thanks!
  7. Agree with the above. Great massage, good looking guy, nice body, ending was robotic.
  8. I think it's a nice place, although I went there pre-covid when it was open 24 hrs., spent the night, and came home with welts all over my body. I assume they were bed bug bites. There was an area with about 50 large leather recliners where I slept. I've been back a couple times since, but didn't go anywhere near those chairs!
  9. Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to cross Chris off the list (yuck). I would have reacted the same way you did and probably would have reluctantly left a $20 tip.
  10. Yes, I agree. This used to be my favorite, but moved quickly to the bottom of my list after a few mediocre experiences. I've started going back based on feedback on this thread. Definitely are stepping up their game.
  11. Hot! - Glad I read this - Was about to book, but short changing on time is a major issue for me - Crossing this one off the list.
  12. I don't recommend Rox - VERY strong upsell, and shorted on time.
  13. I had Enzo, not a fan. Will not repeat.
  14. TSMS used to be good; floor to ceiling walls with doors, clean, shower in one of the rooms. Alvin always delivered. Now I can see why he left - it's really gone downhill. Towels smell moldy and don't seem clean, a revolving door of masseurs, every one that I've tried over the past approx. year have negotiated tip. Had Wynn a week or so ago; excellent massage for the first 30 min. I thought he was going to be a repeat, but then, 30 min into the "good" massage, I flipped over and the strong negotiations began. It was so overwhelming that I almost got up and left. Such a turnoff. TSMS is finally off my rotation of spas. Too bad, I liked it there.
  15. I agree about negotiations within the massage time. Total turn off and immediately I just say "no thanks, just a massage", I give a tip that I would for a normal massage, and I don't return.
  16. I don't recommend Philip. He started negotiating tip, said he couldn't say how much was a "good tip", but when I offered him $50 he said it was way too low. Times Square Men Spa used to be my go-to, but is no longer good, especially since Alvin left. Disappointing
  17. to clarify, it went slightly beyond basics (I left relieved, I wouldn't say happy) and he did "halfway" wipe me off, but definitely not up to standards that you'd expect at 27/HK. Like I said, with just 15 more min of service including a more thorough wipe down, it would have been a good experience worth repeating.
  18. Had Santiago a couple weeks ago. The massage started out ok, although he didn't speak one word upon entering the room and until about 20 min into the massage where he asked if everything was ok. I was on my back in under 30 min and he was done and out of the room in under 45 min. I usually tip well, but shortage of time is an automatic $20 reduction in tip and non repeat for me (this usually doesn't happen here, but seems happening more often as it did with one of the asian guys that I didn't get his name (I think Nick) last month. I can't understand why they do this - offer an average/slightly above average massage, but ruin it by cutting off 10-15 min?!?!?!? Crazy that ten more min of massage I would have probably been a repeat customer and left at least a $20 larger tip. The strangest thing about Santiago is when he ended the massage he just did a half assed job of cleaning off the oil and left the room without saying anything (I thought he went to get another towel since it was still under 45 min into the massage and I was still sticky with oil). After laying there for well over 5 min waiting, I got dressed and got the hell out feeling like I wasted time and money.
  19. I called for Peter at Renew 8th Ave last week and the lady told me he works Fri., Sat., and Mon., but who knows if that's true.
  20. Agree Energy and Grandee are two of the worst choices in NYC. In my experiences they are both dirty, short you on time, tips are solicited, and one handed (other hand texting) is more common than not. Alvin consistently delivers a solid massage, is respectful and earns his tips.
  21. just about anywhere... 27 spa, HK spa, TS spa, Shangrila spa
  22. I also tried two different guys here. Nice facilities, average massage, upsold both times, won't return. There are better options.
  23. excellent strong solid massage with some sensual touch/teasing
  24. Max at 27 Men Spa
  25. Thanks. It may be partially psychological to begin with, but the pills make it worse. Interesting to hear about not concerning yourself about the bottom's pleasure as much. When I'm able to do that I have noticed that it helps a little. Maybe I'll try Vardenafil. Otherwise I'm a pretty healthy guy with a decent diet, don't smoke, no alcohol or drug use, who's always taken an extended period of time to ejaculate.
