There was absolutely nothing rude about this response to the escort's question. In fact, by saying that he was not trying to haggle, the OP showed upmost respect. When it comes to money, if you don't ask, you don't know. I'm not wealthy, so if a product is not in my budget, I'm not shy about letting the seller know. If the seller comes back with a counter offer, even though I didn't request one, I respect the seller more for gifting me with the benefit of any doubt. With that added respect, I'm more eager and excited to make the sale.

Cynical is to think that everyone gets off on playing games. Unfortunately, the reality that a small bunch do is something you can't ignore. A bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.

Bad, rude behavior from an asshole rarely surprises me these days. Our culture is going through a serious debasing. I hope we can find our way out someday soon, and do it without enduring a war.

I may not be a wealthy customer, but it would never occur to me to be rude and obnoxious with an escort who treated me with respect.

Assholes exist everywhere. They're at airports. They're at shopping malls. They're at Neiman Marcus. They're at Walmart. When you service the public for a living, you are bound to encounter an asshole.

The biggest mistake one can make in the service business is to assume that everyone is an asshole. The dividends can be high if you assume the opposite. The best you can do when encountering an asshole is to find a way to politely let him go without burning any bridges. Never give an asshole a reason to stalk you. Once you get rid of him, be grateful. Try to focus on your best customers.

rogerG got a reaction from Dmitri in Are there traveling massage/providers who actually carry a table?
I have had at least 5-6 therapists who did not live in my city bring their massage table to my apartment to provide me with 90 minutes of expert service. Each guy was terrific and very talented. I have fun memories of them all. I think only 1 was gay, but none of them worked in the nude or provided any type of sex. Each guy had his own way of dealing with my erection.

They also had unique methods of transport. One guy used a custom shoulder harness. One guy had a collapsable dolly. I was always fascinated by the differing methods used. I live in an elevator building so getting up to me was never an issue.

In those days, I never requested a table. Those guys wouldn't work any other way. I respected their preference and re-arranged my small apartment to accommodate their table. It always worked out great. I have different furniture now so I can't accommodate a visitor. But I'm always open to trying new guys, and I only book with someone who has a table. I can no longer do the floor or mattress. My body is too crippled.

He's not the only recommended massage guy on this board who doesn't respond to calls for an appointment. If a massage guy does not return my call, I move on. I do not want to be with a massage therapist who does not appreciate my business. If you're too busy to take new customers, then kindly tell me so. I may try to contact you in the future when it's very likely you'll need a new income source.

It seems to me, some of these guys don't do this work full time or don't want to do massage on a regular schedule, or they only want to work when they're in the mood or need money, perhaps.

I know from experience some guys get worn out. Burned out. If you don't love the work or you quickly tire of building a happy ending following where that's all the customer cares about, burn out can easily happen. The HE customers who don't care about massage really want sex, no matter what form that takes. Imagine the constant pressure of having to give more to men you don't find particularly attractive as a means to keep your loyal customers "happy."

It takes a lot of energy to give a good massage. Add the pressure of jacking off guys until they cum, and I imagine a very exhausting day. My arm and hand hurt just thinking about it. Sure, it can be fun and rewarding, with certain clients. But 5 times a day times 5 days a week. I'd be dead.

I don't think this is true anymore. Lots of straight guys have discovered the pleasure of massaging the prostate, and they made the discovery with the help of their women. Social media and Tumblr has had a huge impact on sexual exploration. Lots of women are licking man ass these days.

I have a longtime straight friend. He's a handsome, fit college professor. He adores pussy and consumes a lot of it. He dated an Asian woman once and she taught him the pleasure of butt play. He loved it so much, he lets women fuck him with a strap-on. I suspect my friend is not alone in this discovery.

I have worked with a lot of gay guys in a work environment through the years. I can count on 3 fingers the number of co-workers who became friends that I could truly trust. That's 3 out of maybe 100+. Had plenty of so-called friends, though.

I wish I could count the number of times I've been burned. I don't want to relive those memories. One guy, whom I didn't even know that well, attempted to get me fired. He completely made shit up about me, and to this day I do not know what his beef with me was.

Whenever someone asks me about dating a coworker, based on my personal experience, I say don't do it unless you don't care about your job and the security it provides.

Jack is a fascinating performer with an interesting story. When he says he's "straight," I don't fully believe him. His dick stays hard when he's sucking cock and eating man ass. If your cock looks as though it's enjoying those activities, then you're most likely bisexual.

Too bad he can't get his finances together and learn how to be a good businessman. IMO, there's no greater turn off than a fan-favorite porn star begging for money. I don't want to name names, but I once contacted a famous, younger porn star from the Midwest, and he requested a loan before our actual meet date. Needless to say, I cancelled that first time meet.

When I book a massage at my gym, no one has ever asked me to confirm. They have a policy, if you need to cancel, you must do so within 24 hours of the appt, otherwise they charge you for the hour. I often book a week in advance because I need a specific time, and I've come to know how popular that time slot can be.

I never understood a need to confirm an appointment with one man working on one table, although some customers seem to have a constant issue with commitment.

The act of confirming is added work for both parties. Depending on schedules, it can create a lot of back and forth, most of which should be unnecessary. Maybe for certain customers confirmations are necessary. If I were a MT therapist, I would be turned off by a customer asking for a confirmation call. It would suggest to me that the customer is a flake and not reliable.

However, if the MT agreed to a confirmation and he failed, then you being a no show should not pose a problem. In a perfect world.

I'm not a lawyer. Not sure how a jury or court of law would judge this. If you're paying a MT to give you a HE, you're agreeing to an engagement of sex for a fee. If you allow a MT to penetrate you during a massage without speaking up, it seems to me you're tacitly agreeing to a more serious engagement of sex.

The part of the OP's story about the MT ejaculating only begs more questions. Where did he ejaculate? Did penetration cause him to ejaculate? How long was his cock in the ass, etc? Since the OP is not offering more detail, the intention of the thread smells of catfish, even though much of the information shared can be useful to readers.

    I agree, interesting thread.

I, too, have been in situations that caused me to freeze, and I'm not the freeze type. None of them were sexual, but the trauma made me think deeper about my reaction.

I have also been with massage therapists who wanted more sexually. When that happened, even though I was in the massage cloud, I quickly became alert and pulled words together to discuss intentions. Luckily, I had no problem controlling those situations. I'm upfront with sex talk.

The HE massage experience is fraught with potential danger. It's very important for the customer to know what those dangers are if he wants to protect himself.

Many gay guys want silence and anticipation to be part of their massage fantasy. With this type of customer, it's impossible for the MT to read someone's mind. Without direct communication, the MT could easily turn into a very horny guy looking for his own version of HE.

Some guys do not want to be penetrated, especially without a condom, or take cum in the mouth, so it's very important that those customers tell the naked MT about this limit. Customers who have certain don'ts usually have no difficulty voicing those particulars.

HE massage therapists who think it's OK to penetrate a customer without permission could very easily find their lives ruined. Not worth the risk.

This has to be the worst example of an erotic massage I've ever seen. Chaos is always more interested in sex. However, this is a good example of what can happen if you book with a guy who has no massage experience. The scene basically becomes a guy with an erection and a massage table. Some customers like this. They get a little sex and some oily touching at a lower rate. I prefer a massage therapist like Tyler who knows what he is doing.

    @TylerandAce
You definitely don't want to take business advice from escorts who aren't at the top of their game or who demonstrate terrible business practices in public view.

The service sector shifts all the time. It's very fluid. Unless there's a financial crash, it's difficult to point a finger at spending shifts. I'd be more inclined to study a mature man's ability to get horny in the era of couch potato.

Given the stock market, the unemployment rate, and the job numbers, disposable income should not be considered the problem. Customers have money and are definitely spending it. It should be noted that some high-end retailers are struggling in this volatile but thriving market.

Rentmen is not my favorite user experience, but IMO it seems to run better than Rentboy. At least their PM system seems to work better. Free advertising should never be completely dismissed. After all, it's a free chance for the fickle market to see more of you. Just be sure to use unique photos for every ad space. Repeated visual information is boring and does not motivate a sale.

Your generous presence on this board is most appreciated. You make yourself available by engaging with a specific customer market, and you treat every potential customer with respect, displaying a high level of professionalism for all to see. I can't state strongly enough how valuable that is for your business and its reputation. Some guys talk the talk but few can walk it all the way to the bank.

You seem to realize that everything you write as a professional on the internet will last forever. You are smart to choose your words with care, never insulting a potential customer.

I'm with you on your opinion of social media, but I'm not sure that market's age is worth your time. Before Tumblr shut down their XXX, I would have said create an account there and show personal photos and videos that don't appear anywhere else. Their viewership was huge, with a very broad age range. They serviced a strong daddy-loving market. Finding places to engage where other like-minded customers hang is key.

Unfortunately, this may be your greatest challenge in a business that often values youth above all else. Also, gay men are notorious for desiring a constant change of scenery. It's tough to reinvent yourself every month. This means, your market may have a ceiling. Your numbers may have a limit. Still, the fetish for hot daddies will never die. As long as you stay in shape and focus your resources where it matters most, you will remain ahead of those who follow.
