A question for the ages: silicone or water based lub?
mike carey replied to marylander1940's topic in The Lounge
Moderator's Warning A gentle reminder that this thread is about types of lube to use, not about condom use (although which lubes are compatible with condoms is okay). Off topic comments will be removed, as some already have. -

OUTRAGEOUS!! The map in that video showed New Brunswick and Nova Scotia as parts of the US. -
Welcome to the forum, @LukePhx, I think you've made a perfect landing here! For the record, I'm one of those weirdos who will read reviews as well as look at pics and stats.

I was just reading an article in the Economist that noted that the coastal water in the Gulf was 31 degrees (88 F) when Helene was about to cross. That high temperature boosted the amount of water the storm took up and likely contributed to the severity of the rain as it moved inland. As I type, Milton has sped up, which if it continues at that speed will reduce the amount of rain that falls (it will cross the peninsula more quickly). We are getting rolling coverage on morning TV here, not exclusively but along with significant local news. It has noted that the authorities are being ruthless in their warnings, one of which apparently was, 'If you chose not to evacuate, please attach a label to your wrist with your name and next of kin, so we can identify your body'. Brutal! Thoughts from afar for those affected by Helene, and now Milton. (Storms between H and M were either near Bermuda or off the Cabo Verde Islands in Africa.)

The Ups and Downs of Airlines and Air Travel
mike carey replied to mike carey's topic in The Travel Desk
Virgin Australia went into administration in 2020 during the pandemic and was bought by Bain Capital. They have planned several dates to relist it on the stock exchange but haven't yet managed to do so. A week or so back Qatar Airways announced it was taking a 25% stake in Virgin, and under the deal it will wet lease jets to VA to resume long haul international flights, this time to Doha. This has been described as a sneaky, or alternatively 'elegant' work around to the Australian governments widely criticised rejection of a request last year to double their flights to Australia, a decision seen as being at the behest of Qantas and its Middle East partner Emirates. (Oddly Qatar is a fellow member of Oneworld with Qantas but already had a commercial arrangement with Virgin.) The charm offensive with the government and public has now started in earnest. Hot on the heels of Qantas announcing repatriation charter flights for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from Cyprus for Australians evacuated from Lebanon (there are upward of 15,000 citizens and permanent residents there), Qatar announced that it too would operate charters. It's unclear what the financial arrangements are between the government and either airline, but both would have had to disrupt their schedules to some extent to operate the flights. Qatar was the first to operate a flight, understandably as they had a shorter prepositioning flight than Qantas, and arrived in Sydney last night (Monday). The first Qantas flight arrived this morning. Qatar is staging through Doha, but Qantas is operating non-stop from Larnaca to Sydney in Boeing 787s, a slightly longer flight than their regular Perth to London flights. Flights on both charters are free for the passengers, and Qantas and Virgin are offering free onward travel to other Australian cities for passengers of Qantas and Qatar flights respectively. -
The link he posted has been edited and now works, but this is double assurance!

3 ... 2 ... 1 Mod's Note This call may come as a surprise, but can you all limit your comments to the escort in question and not take any time out to talk about each other. Members are entitled to post their comments about him and any reservations they may have. Most members have enough experience to make reasoned assessments of an ad (doesn't mean they are always correct) and don't need a character assessment from others when they do so. Members who have met an escort also don't need such an assessment for posting their thoughts. Please stay on topic henceforth.

I've never caught yellow fever, and I haven't been vaccinated since 2002.

You should be able to make it to things outside your usual daily routine if you do them while the jet lag is still screwing with your body clock!!

Goodness, a new account 'Jame' here and a new RM account 'James' (the Gringo), also opened today, come to praise Alex. And in a thread here that's been dormant for 14 months. I love coincidences! But I'm sure Alex is lovely.

Speaking philosophically, the original question was asking for advice on twink escorts that may be available. The question has been broadened to some extent to wonder how broadly (or narrowly) the term twink could be applied but that's clarification of the question that still fits into the Deli. Some discussion has taken a further, and more questionable (as far as being on topic) turn, to canvass loosely related questions of terminology and ethics. The question is simple, to paraphrase, 'Are there twink escorts and where are they?' It wasn't asking if you want to hire a twink or how you can refer to them.

To add to Sam's reply, if you search (search box at the top right) for Palm Springs Weekend you will find threads about the 2024 event (and others) that will give you a good idea of what the events are like. You may have to tweek the filters to eliminate threads with the individual words in isolation (there will be some initial options to do that appearing near the top of the results page). Sorry, I said top left when it's top right of the page. Oops!

Maggie Smith, ‘Downton Abbey,’ ‘Harry Potter,’ dies at 89
mike carey replied to marylander1940's topic in The Lounge
I did hear her lament that after Downton Abbey she could do so less readily. She was indeed a national treasure, as the King said. -
Indeed, some responses were hidden.

Cute Critters to Take Our Minds Off Everyday Stresses

'The most dangerous bird in the world' apparently. Commonly 1.5 to 1.8m tall and up to 60kg. Not a bird to tangle with. -
As @DynamicUno said, you can still see them via means other than the search function, so they are still 'there' and the visit counter still clicks over every time someone does visit even when they are expired or frozen.
