  1. It said “newbies” beneath the screen name, so I may have erred on that and it may have been how the forum classifies members by length of membership. Not sure why it said “newbies” rather than “newbie.” Anyway, I’ll own that one. I’ve been on this forum about eight years as a member (and knew of it long before joining), and it’s an invaluable resource. I’ve been spared what would have been disastrous meetings by this forum’s contents. It’s pretty common to report sudden drops in communications. I think the term often used is ghosting, but I prefer flake. As my RM profile says, I rarely even respond to ads anymore because, as I said in the outset of this post, it’s so rare for me to find what I’m looking for. Chase was an exception, and I truthfully indicated that his pictures and profile details were the best I’ve seen enter the NO market in a decade. It wasn’t meant to be, however, and I’ve moved on. As for the title of the post, prospective clients can read it and make up their own minds if it impacts their desires to initiate contact or not.
  2. Post whenever you'd like, but for someone new, you sure come on laying down the law! Rough introduction to the “Big Easy?” Buckle up! It’s going to get much rougher! I also sense something, particularly the screen name being plural, and that's more than a little interesting given the follow-up post I made on this forum earlier today.
  3. You have your definition of "flake," and I have mine, and by MY standards (and I've been hiring for 20 years), he flaked!!\. Pure and simple! I was polite in asking him what day and times may work, and he said, "this weekend could." I then proposed a date and time, and he discontinued all correspondence. That's a classic "flake" in my book! I even inquired, if my proposed time didn't work, suggest one that will work and I should be able to make it happen. I started the correspondence by giving him the direct link to my own profile, which told him tons about me including the only three activities I'm interested in (very specific and conveyed via hashtags). If, upon seeing that material, he, "wasn't interested," all he had to do is say so. Other providers have been very courteous in that regard, and I've indicated to them that I appreciated their honesty.
  4. Last Thursday (12/8), I made this post entailing ChaseGavin: In a nutshell, Chase surfaced as a new ad in New Orleans (noticed it on Thursday, 12/8) and I found it quite appealing. After a few exchanged texts trying to set something up for this past weekend (which Chase indicated "could work"), Chase flaked and went AWOL on communications (which were only available through RM's message system as no phone # was applicable). Well, today I notice this ad by "Alexinworderland:" https://app.rent.men/Alexinwonderland. I was already suspicious that, at the time Chase said, "this weekend could work," that he wasn't even in New Orleans but was hoping to be there by the weekend. What made me think that? Chase showed "near travel" to include Meridian, Mississippi, which is not near New Orleans at all (198 miles, but a mere $23 one-way fare on Amtrak, is at least cheap to get there) but it also begs the question of just how strong the market in Meridian (with is 2010 population of 41,000) would be for escorts. Hence, it was illogical to me that someone from Meridian would reach out to Chase to set anything up, but obviously he could set something up for a return trip back "home" under my theory. Well, Alex's ad was taken out the SAME EXACT DAY as Chase's ad (15 days ago), and here's the entirety of the text of his ad: FROM MS., IN NEW ORLEANS RIGHT NOW !! 12/10/2022 😍😍❤️ Gee, 12/10/22 just happens to be Saturday, which was the beginning of the timeframe that Chase indicated "may work." Perhaps Chase figured Alex, who would appear to be the more dominant of the two, may be more what I was looking for and that perhaps I would respond to his ad once it was up and active. If that was the logic (giving the benefit of the doubt that there is ANY logic to be had), it was flawed as the two middle-finger salutes among Alex's photos don't endear him to me at all! Add in the fact that he responded, "yes" to being a smoker, and there would be no desire on my end for Alex! So, I think we have two young men from Mississippi who have relocated to New Orleans for an undetermined amount of time, but I see no way all of the above (ads taken out same EXACT date -- both available effective the same EXACT date, 12/10/22) similarities are a coincidence.
  5. That’s been the case for a long time! Guys like Chase were plentiful in NO 15 - 20 years ago, but for the last 10 - 12 years, they’ve been almost nonexistent! I was also happy that Chase divulged his rate in his ad, and I would gladly pay that and would anticipate being a client who would enjoy many more meetings, but it appears that was all just a mirage. The only consolation is the fact that I can purchase about 40 pounds of boiled crawfish for the cost of a one-hour meeting with him, and they bring a ton of happiness to me too. 😀.
  6. It’s my understanding that RM requires you to have actually met to submit a review. Since we did not, I wouldn’t seem to qualify. As pointed out, his ad is only 13 days old, so I seriously doubt he’s had an actual meeting yet.
  7. I’m certainly not holding my breath!
  8. That’s precisely why I contacted him! It’s been nearly a decade since a new entrant to the New Orleans market could even come close to the appeal he has for me.
  9. Just a quick flake alert on Chase Gavin in New Orleans: https://app.rent.men/ChaseGavin I decided to initiate contact because he epitomizes what I'm looking for, and that rarely happens anymore. His ad is only 12 days old, and he has no phone for contact, and I've always been reluctant to use RM's message system, but he's so appealing to me I did go ahead and use it. Here's our correspondence: Me (3:35 p.m. CST yesterday): Hi, Chase. My name is <first name supplied>. I like your ad! Here is a link for my own profile, which has as hashtags the only things I seek: <like supplied> Chase (4:07 p.m. CST yesterday): hey there yeah we could work something out how are ya? Me (4:51 p.m. CST yesterday): I’m well. Are there days of the week and times that work best for you? Chase (4:56 p.m. CST yesterday): this weekend could work Me (5:09 p.m. CST yesterday): Okay. Would Saturday about 2 pm work well for you? Me, after an extended period of no reply yet the system showing he'd logged on several times (7:39 p.m. CST Yesterday): If it doesn’t, just indicate which day and time does work for you, and I should be able to make it work. I can also host, but I live in Baton Rouge. I checked several times today, and RM's messaging system shows him having logged on within a couple of hours from me having done so (notwithstanding that his ad itself shows it's been two days since he logged on which is not correct because even the ad itself earlier today showed he'd logged on today). Hence, I'm chalking this up as a flake experience and wanted to memorialize that fact in the event anyone runs a search on this site.
  10. https://preferred411.com/ I used this site several years ago and was pleased. What you’ll find, however, is that most of the providers require positive referral from another provider (typically two). Hence, you need that first referral to become accepted into the game, so to speak. Beyond that, I found female prices to be about on average 30% higher than male prices. Hope this may help some, and good luck!
  11. Only Fans has been very useful for me as a screening tool. My click thru rate on RM ads is less than 10% (zero interest in the other 90%). I can safely say that, of those I do click through on and my interest is peaked, of those who have OF pages, I don’t hesitate to take a month subscription (I hit “don’t renew” first thing). It’s great because you can see tons of historical posts for one low flat amount. In 70% of those instances, the OF page lessened my desire to meet rather than increased it. Hence, OF has saved me a ton of money and disappointment and I therefore am a big OF fan!!
  12. Curious as to whether anyone has any intel: https://app.rent.men/LukeDillon
  13. Who said anything about doing anything "for nothing?" Perhaps you didn't read his ad well! To me, there's a major difference between charging for one's time for occasional meetings and, "The goal is to find someone who'll make me want to cancel my membership." Perhaps you don't view it as I do, but to me at least, that gives off the vibe that an occasional meeting from time to time (for which he's certainly compensated) won't be that fulfilling to him. THAT one sentence that he placed in the text of the ad (along with, to a much lesser extent, "I just be eating good," is what has prompted me to refrain from responding to his ad at all. I have no idea how you ended up inferring that anyone was expecting a darn thing for free!
  14. I am just curious as to whether anyone has any intel or feedback to provide on BubbleButtDom? https://rentmen.eu/BubbleButtDom His ad surfaces in South Louisiana from time to time. His pics look appealing but the text of his ad doesn’t do much to make a prospective client feel like he is very excited to have meetings that aren’t repetitive and significantly financially rewarding to him (at least that’s my take). That fact, combined with the fact he has no reviews despite being around for quite a while, have caused me not to even initiate contact. Nevertheless, I’m curious as to whether anyone else has because his pics are appealing.
  15. Used to be. Though he seems to spend little time there, he has been “based” in Austin, Texas the last couple of years.
  16. Communicated with him today since he will be in Baton Rouge through June 14. He was honest enough to say my interests don’t appeal to him at all, and I replied that I very much appreciated his honesty. His introductory feedback was kind, and he indicated that he could host in Baton Rouge and, with that being the case, he disclosed the rate for his time at $250/hr.
  17. Well, the mystery is solved. Changed his screen name again: we’ll see if this change lasts longer than EchoDot. https://rent.men/Twink_boyFL/#platinum I decided to search the Rent Men site for the words “an 23” and it popped right up.
  18. Pretty bizarre. Now “Echodot” is a client and “Beastq” is nowhere to be found. I typically check every few days because he travels all over everywhere and is never in one place more than about a week, and this is the first time Beastq disappeared since Echodot was created in January (then with the same ad content as Beastq).
  19. Well, so much for “Echodot.” Three days later, back to “Beastq.”: https://rent.men/BeastQ
  20. Changed screen name today: https://rent.men/EchoDot
  21. I just met with him. He could not have possibly been more professional. He was very prompt in his communications, and we met up soon after we first corresponded. He was absolutely fantastic at providing EXACTLY what I was looking for. He's my first hire in three years, and I can assure you we'll be meeting up plenty more as he is a rare find in this market!
  22. Had a similar situation except that the rate was well above market for the city (New Orleans) at the time. Had a great initial encounter, and I planned to see him about every four weeks, whereas I would have seen another escort at the then-prevailing rate about every three weeks. He texted me the next week asking when we could get together again. I told him in about four weeks. He asked why not sooner. I told him that I would be happy to pay his rate but that would mean simply mean we would meet every four weeks. He proceeded to immediately drop his rate 40% (to an amount BELOW) the then-prevailing rate. We met about every two weeks for several years until he returned to his homeland of Thailand. If this guy has run up debt, you may find considerable flexibility over it, and by agreeing to pay it and meet half as often as you once did, he may decide the way to maximize revenue is through more frequent meetings at a lower rate. Just my perspective, but if you’re happy with him, I say pay his rate and set up meetings half as often as you used to. As folk have said, “Supply and demand,” well you certainly have a say-so in just how much demand you have for the services he provides at whatever price he chooses to charge.
  23. Thank you!!! I’d never seen that ad!!
  24. Anybody have any experience with “Fun and Interesting”?: https://www.mintboys.com/male-escorts/new-orleans/5eebc446ce412f3f88b2e060 Has been listed for 3-4 months and, in that time, his locations have included Dallas (where I first saw it), Tampa, San Diego, San Antonio, El Paso, Fort Lauderdale, and now New Orleans. It is a Mintboy ad, and I know those are generally dubious. Don’t know if him being “premium” may offset that fact. Any thoughts or (better yet) experiences?
  25. Given that he got two 5-star reviews on RM yesterday while you endured your frustration, I’d say he just got busy with other prospects and decided you were simply “odd man out.”
