Funny, my finger was hovering over my cell keypad and just decided to check here first. I may take the dive. One odd thing, though . . . I regularly troll the NYC listings and he hits all my search criteria, but he's never come up in my searches before. Recent transplant to NYC?

Neither side is wrong and neither side is right. Do what is best for you. Do you. I give no fucks if someone dislikes what or how I do something if it doesn't affect them directly. Don't like if I wrap? No fucks. Don't like that I go raw? No fucks. Duces!

Yes, previously he spent extended time in both NYC & Florida....a bunch of negative comments here regarding him should serve as a warning to all guys considering engaging with the guy.

Ditto. Very disappointing experience. Laid on the bed like a dead fish. Saw him in NYC, and he cut us short by 15 minutes because he had to get to Adonis to dance. He seems to blow hot and cold (so to speak).

I don't think providers are interchangeable widgets, so I can see how this strategy will not be a good fit for every one.

I totally agree with you. The lack of an acknowledgement of a rather intimate human to human encounter means that it was a "transnational" interaction to the provider. Like checking out at Walmart...

So, I don't tend to repeat with providers that do not acknowledge or value the service provided.

This. Frankly, whether or not a guy sends a thank you text holds a lot of sway in deciding whether or not to rehire.

Me too. Best practice, I think. I'll text day before, morning of to confirm. text again when headed over if I'm travelling to him. About 50% of the time, dude will have texted me a confirmation first. Actually, I don't give exact location (address, hotel, room number, whatever) until day of, and most guys I meet don't either. If the guy doesn't respond with at least a "still on" after two or three day-of pings, I send him a text cancelling (only happened once).

On cancellations, I've had a couple of last minute ones -- one guy whom I was meeting after Folsom who called and basically said he'd had too many beers and wouldn't be much "fun" (for which I was grateful), and another guy (totally weird) who said he had to cancel because his BF wouldn't let him go unless I hired them both. Took a pass on that one, thanks.

Been fairly lucky in terms of very few no shows. Only one where I never heard from the guy again, and one where the guy called me up 5 hours later, told me he'd injured his knee that afternoon (complete with pictures of swollen knee and knee brace) and passed out on pain pills before our appt.

Long-winded way of saying -- just check in with him. It will save you time and nerves.

Of course, I was looking at W&M a quarter century before you went there; by the time I arrived at the campus, I had passed too many "Whites Only" drinking fountains to seriously consider applying for admission to any public college in the South. In 1971, a close friend of mine was offered a professorship there, but halfway through the interview she realized there was no way she could feel comfortable there. I'm glad to hear that things got better at W&M in later years.

I went to W&M Law 30 years ago. Even then, Wmsburg was a very open, tolerant place that for the most part was very accepting of LGBT folks. Of course, drive 5 miles in any direction from the outskirts of Billyburg and it was a whole 'nother world.

You answered your own question. “I know different strokes... “

People are attracted to different things and they can’t always explain it, You have a fetish for trade. I have a fetish for bodybuilders and athletic types. Trying to figure out the whys of someone else’s attraction is pointless.

And what’s most important to one person in hiring may not be important to another. I think the general consensus is the hire is engaged and willing, on whatever level, to do what the client wants to be happy.

The two things that matter to me most are that the guy is engaged and that he will kiss. Kissing drives me crazy. Even if the guy is not a bodybuilder or jock.... or isn’t someone I might typically go for, if he meets my two requirements... odds are I’m going to have fun. Even better if we both do.

A good book about proper punctuation is "Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation" by Lynne Truss.

The Amazing Race has featured many out gay teams/team members over the years. Off the top of my head, I remember two gay male couples who have won, and their relationships were actually highlighted. The show is very gay friendly, and has no problem referring to a couple as dating or married. I'm not sure why this hasn't come up yet regarding the Well-Strung guys. Btw, there's usually a nice sampling of male eye candy, especially when they make it to the warm weather countries. The show usually works in some challenge that involves getting into a speedo. I hope the Well-Strung guys make it at least that far, lol.

    So?

Companies choose spokespeople all the time that some members of the target audience don't like. In my case Davey Wavey personifies the shallow, vain phoniness of the modern day gay community.

This is just niche marketing. The ingredients are essentially the same as Metamucil and both products have the same effect. Brilliant idea to repackage a product for middle aged and elderly consumers to target gay men at a premium price. Furthermore, these products are not going to make one completely “clean” and a cleanse would still be advisable to avoid unpleasant issues.

Pure having Davey Wavey as a spokesman is enough to make me lose interest in the product anyway. Can’t stand him.

https://rentmen.eu/John_Atlanta gets universally good comments, though I'm not sure if he's muscular by this definition.
https://rentmen.eu/RicardoMilos has been mentioned - I'd search the Forums for comments
