So eating any cold food from the fridge that had previously been cooked is dangerous unless re-cooked? If that's so, a lot of sick people are still eating cold food!

Once it is cooked to a temperature of 165, then I don't think it needs re-cooking. Warm it to your taste and eat.

If you want a quality milkshake near me, you will be paying $7 most times. Maybe there are a few in the $6 range, but $7 isn't out of line. Lower than that are you are getting more milk than ice cream.

I haven’t tried to eat out yet. In my area, you cannot eat inside a restaurant, only outside. And quite frankly, I really don’t want to sit outside on a blistering summer day. I will continue to support my favorite restaurants with takeout, but it crushes me to say it will be a while before I eat out again.

I just returned home after having my breakfast at one of my favorite restaurants in Monterey, CA. ...didn't like the entire experience at all. In fact, it saddened me to the point of my almost falling apart and bursting out in a geyser of tears. The ambiance was quite quiet at this once busy and rather vibrant venue, and although the food was tasty and flavorful as in the past, my sitting alone at a table that was virtually situated in the middle of the room and having folks pass by me (masked) but not being six feet apart, unnerved me and urged my paying the bill immediately after I'd finished. ...did not see any of the former personnel either which got me thinking as well as questioning. ...will return again but for pre-ordered take out until there is some semblance of normalcy.

Last week I visited another favorite restaurant of mine in Carmel, CA. Another patron and I were the only ones in this particular area of the restaurant throughout the entire time; thus I was all right. I felt comfortable and quite relaxed. In fact, while briefly chatting with my youngish waitperson, I found out that I have been frequenting this wonderful place since its inception of some thirty years.

The only thing that baffled me was the cost; I had spent twenty-one dollars for a Cajun turkey burger accompanied by a side of a very sizeable amount of steamed broccoli and separate sauce. I had a milkshake as well to the tune of $7.00 (much too high). But, all in all, I've always liked the ambiance and some of the cute men who've been my waitpersons during the time that I have been going. Am glad that that experience did not unnerve me as the one that I had earlier today (July 6, 2020).

It's 95 here; I set the thermostat on 75 during the day but turn it to 68 at night.

    No AC at my house.
Ceiling fans take care of staying comfy during warmer says.

I don't think I could survive with most of you. I don't think I have ever set my thermostat above 72 once the temps hit 85 outside. I need it cold.

we keep our thermostat at 76*...it's very hot and humid everyday here in North Florida...ceiling fans in every room...except dining room where we never sit or eat...I like being out of doors so I sit in the shade under an umbrella which is under a tree..Even the dogs like to be inside..

In the summer, when I'm relaxing at home, I keep the temperature at 80. If I'm working out, doing housework, or slaving in front of a hot computer screen, I might lower the thermostat to 77. Anything lower and I feel too cold.

I start to sweat once the temperature hits 83 degrees. ?

Haha!! This is the best thing I've read all day!

In response to the OP... If the masseur is COVID positive, then there's a very strong chance of transmission even with a mask on. The most recent data suggest that COVID is transmitted not just by large respiratory droplets but by very fine particles via aerosol transmission. In other words, sharing "air space" with someone is enough, even if they don't cough or sneeze. And unless the mask is a medical grade N95 mask, it probably won't do much to prevent aerosol transmission. I'm not an expert in infectious disease, but I do work in medicine, and this is the most up-to-date thinking on COVID transmission.

Obviously getting a massage right now is a risk, but like other risks in life the goal is to 1) minimize that risk as much as possible and 2) figure out what level of risk you're comfortable with, then proceed accordingly. While there's no way to know for sure that the masseur is COVID negative, I do think it helps going to someone you've seen before, whom you trust will be honest about any possible exposure and who will cancel if they are feeling even a little ill. Also, some masseurs see 5 guys a day, some only see 5 a week. I think this makes a big difference, too...

The thrill is getting to see something not intended for your viewing. Or so I think.

the US southwest's exotically-named "monsoon season" is much-anticipated by the locals as it brings fairly reliable rain and somewhat cooler temperatures, despite an increase in humidity......usually lasting until late August, the local joke is that it starts up right as you're starting to grill on the Fourth of July......

unfortunately, the forecast thru next Sunday is 0% chance of any rain and high temperatures of 108F/42C......

my AC is usually set for 78 in the daytime and 77 at night.....electric bill is set at $74/month year-round for a 1240 sq. ft. townhouse........I sleep on top of the covers with no sheet over me in the summer......and, if you're wondering, light loose cotton t-shirt and loose cotton gym shorts

I was unaware until recently that the acronym for the gay, lesbian, and trans community had been expanded to LGBTQI+
It's my opinion- and that's all it is- that cramming us together into some lengthy acronym makes it easier for the media to avoid
saying "gay" or "lesbian." With the added QI+ it complicates it further. I see myself as gay, not LGBTQI+ .
Naturally, I am happy to hear what you think. Am I just an old fossil?

I don't have a/c. It's going to be 13 today (that's 56F) after 0 overnight (32) but then it's winter here. I have a small gas heater, and have the 'thermostat', such as it is, set to 18 (64F), but I usually only have it on in the evenings and first thing in the morning.

It's been a bit hot in Denver but not too bad...high 80s/low 90s most days with some nice afternoon clouds cooling things down. It's supposed to get into the upper-90s later this week though. But it's a dry heat here so it's actually not too uncomfortable. It was low 90s today and I went on a nice long bike ride. Slightly hot sure, but not scorching.

Detroit's got a week of 90+ degree weather ahead. I've always eschewed A/C in favor of fans, my old house has plenty of windows. I do have pity on the dog; it's a rough time to be a black dog. We went to the dog park today, completely empty, and she stayed in the shade in the shelter about 90% of the time, except for trotting over to bark at the shirtless runner going by. That's my girl.
