  1. I forgot to mention that Toronto is one of my favorite cities in North America.
  2. Been there in the mid-winter at least a couple times - definitely cold but no worse then Rochester, directly across the lake, where I grew up.
  3. I first noticed him in the movie Swordfish in 2001. A short time after that, I saw him doing a song-and-dance routine on TV. I remember my thought was "flamer." I remember reading an interview in some publication on the internet and he was talking about suffering and hardship and how much he had learned about it when he was staying in a hotel in Toronto in the middle of the winter and the hot water ran out and he had to take a cold shower. I thought,"Seriously!?!?! You think having to take a cold shower in a luxury hotel is suffering???" He should have been embarrassed to have said that.
  4. Kaiser is supposed to have the new booster any time.
  5. I'm the same - I have never lost my temper with anyone during a contest prep - but sometimes it takes nerves of steel not too. My husband's oldest sister drives me crazy sometimes. He forgot that I was going to be prepping for a show and invited her to come stay during that time. She got there the night before we were to leave for LA for a national show. I was so brittle that I didn't feel up to speaking with her when she got there and I asked my husband to explain. The next morning I was able to be sparkly and nice and tell her how nice it was to see her.
  6. Right - it's called being "hangry," and it's a real thing.
  7. I thought that RM called all the advertisers porn stars to avoid the term "escort."
  8. Yes, I agree. I was sad to see him retire.
  9. Does Micheal Vincenzo count as a porn star? He's one of a couple providers I have seen on the regular.
  10. It's keto, hence the high fat content. I read about them and they sounded great so I ordered a few to try them. After I ordered, I read the fine print and realized that they were very high fat and cancelled the order - I'm firmly in the high-protein, moderate-carb, low-fat camp.
  11. I like kinky sex, but BDSM generallly isn't my thing. I do have a sub FB though who likes to serve me and be pushed around, and I really like it. Subs talk about going into sub space, but I think there is a dom space too. As soon as I walk through the door at his place, I acquire an attitude of complete entitlement, and it feels real, not play acting. He only sits in my presence if I give him permission to, brings me an endless stream of nice little snacks and treats and stands and watches while I eat them, he likes to get flogged, endlessly fucked, be adressed as "boy," etc. We've been doing it for years. He says that that's the way I actually am and that I'm comfortable being the man I actually am when I'm around him.
  12. I had a trainer many years ago - a dumb, hunky young straight guy - who was on the verge of getting roped into something like that - first they had him come and pose in briefs, then they wanted him to pose again and take a little cialis so that his package would show more through the briefs, etc. etc. I said "you're getting in over your head - I wouldn't go back." He said, "Oh, I can take care of myself." I don't think he ever went back, but I was never sure.
  13. There’s no reason to compete if you don’t feel it. I love it, and I have wanted to be a competitor since I was about ten years old. But that’s me doing me. You just have to look around you to know that achieving better than average fitness doesn’t require stepping onto a contest stage.
  14. But this begs the question: why would a wealthy Silicon Valley magnate settle for Medicaid-financed long-term care when they could afford to provide themselves mucn better long-tem care?
  15. I have read that they are bad news, but Expel were the only diuretics I ever took. I've never had that much of a problem holding water.
  16. Dehydration flattens you out. My coach used to have me take an herbal diuretic - Expel but none day of and day before.
  17. Up to a limit, I agree. Jeremy Buendia, in a youtube video, said his contest prep was 6 months. I'm a lot more comfortable with a 16-week prep than I am with a 12-week prep. My trainer keeps himself almost stage-ready so that he can be ready pretty quickly.
  18. I have done it once - the prep wasn't as long as for a show - only 8 or 10 weeks. But we did a peak week just like you would for a show. It was my first time posing for professional photographer so most of the pics were only OK, but my conditioning was spot on, and that was really the point - to be in stage-ready condition just because.
  19. Yep, I love competition. I would love to jump back in but I'm not sure I'm up to the stress. I was thinking that a couple photo shoots/year would provide similar motivation without the insane stress of competing.
  20. That's what trainers cost. Mine charges $100.00/session. You could reduce your outlay by hiring a coach instead of a trainer. With a coach, there isn't any face-to-face interaction. Your coach designs your training regimen and your diet and provides accountability. Coaching might cost you $200 - $300/month.
  21. Are you prepping for a photo shoot? Yessir, I would like to know what you're eating. The info would be much appreciated.
  22. No a re-feed isn't a cheat. A cheat is just that - when your coach tells you "go have a burger and fries tonight." A re-feed is when you increase your carbs 75 or 100 grams for a single day and then you go back to your previous regimen. And the additional carbs are just larger servings of allowed carbs. Cheats are important - they actually aren't "cheats." By taking a break every now and then, you are able to go back to your routine and stay on it. Also, sometimes, before a competition, you need a large infusion of calories to remedy a "flat" look and a burger and fries is just what the doctor ordered.
  23. Sure - during prep complex carbs are limited to oatmeal and jasmine rice and we do carb cycling. I know your diet is spot on - you couldn't look the way you do if it wasn't. I have loads of respect and admiration for you, Danny.
  24. My coach always said absolutely no dairy or sugar. They were the only forbidden items.
  25. Mainstream docs think that hormone replacement is simply measuring a guys total and or free Testosterone and writing a script. You will only get the kind of treatment Benjamin is describing by going to someone who specializes in hormone optimization.
