  1. Once they go up, prices don't fall. That, after all, would be deflation, which is an even dirtier word than "inflation" to those who make monetary policy. But at some point, we can hopefully expect that they will stop rising with such energy.
  2. I don't operate from a decision that I'm not attracted to men my age - I could be attracted to a man my age. In actual fact, though, I don't encounter many men my own age that I'm sexually attracted to. I was at a party a couple of months ago, and a man my own age hit on me in a very obvious way. I was flattered, but he didn't do anything for me - no aversion, though.
  3. Restaurant prices in San Francisco are absurdly high - last week lunch for two at a mid-price restaurant in Novato set me back over $70 with tip. But restaurant prices are just a reflection of food prices in general. I admit, I buy upscale groceries - but come on - a pound of hamburger for $12.00 - really???
  4. You mean old providers or old clients?
  5. Since the rate paid is reported by the client, what the client considers to be the rate paid may or may not include a tip. I haven't posted any reviews, but if I did, I probably would not inlude the tip because it is discretionary.
  6. You WILL get old and will be faced with the challenge of finding satisfaction in life as an older man. Those sad old men lurking in bars haven't yet figured out how to negotiate that challenge.
  7. If somebody liked the guy enough to post a positive review, why would you think less of it if he doesn't acknowledge it?
  8. There are so many things wrong with paying a guy by check, from either viewpoint, that I won't try to go into it. I paid by Venmo once. Otherwise, always cash.
  9. Of course it happens - i know for a fact.
  10. I have made small loans to friends and family. I always insisted that they sign a note - and I always got repaid. Once, my mother asked for a largish loan - to pay tuition for my brother and sister in private schools. Since their state had perfectly good public schools - I told her "no," hard thing to do, but I knew I would never get repaid.
  11. Not Jewish myself, but I worked for a kosher caterer. Most of our jobs were at an affluent ortnodox synagogue in the suburbs. They had a huge main kitchen that was ultra-kosher - actually two separate kitchens - meat and dairy. But this synagogue was so big that they had a couple satellite kitchens - which were kosher enough - a single kitchen with meat on one side of the kitchen and dairy on the other side. But the satellite kitchens weren't kosher enough for Passover - during Passover, they were closed and locked - nobody could go in them.
  12. It seems like a Jewish deli could serve mac and cheese and keep kosher.

  14. In this part of the country - almost any supermarket has it.
  15. I have a good sense of time - I usually know, within 5 or 10 minutes or so, what time it is. I just know when I have about 15 minutes left on the clock - time enough to dress after a quick shower. So. I'm the clockwatcher.
  16. Unfortunate you experienced my response as "tart." What I was going for was to point out the tough spot you are putting would-be responders in.
  17. You really think you'll get any responses? No one would want to admit to being a clockwatcher, but they also wouldn't want to raise a possible client's expectations.
  18. Prior to meeting my husband, I had been in a few relationships that were all short-lived - the longest was a few months and I would characterize them all as flirtations or infatuations. At some point, I diagnosed myself as having a classic gay man's fear of intimacy. Within 2 or 3 years after that I met my husband and we have been a couple for 32 years.
  19. I come from a very large family and I have 3 sisters and 5 brothers. I'm the third child. First and second children are both brothers.

He's just about in contest shape. I never understood why he had no interest in competing.
  21. I hadn't had it in a long time, but recently started getting it again.
  22. It has become a thing recently - articles all over about it, personal accounts, etc. There have been several threads on Quora. One guy, who was very satisfied with his outcome, said that the pain and the difficulty of the recovery are vastly exaggerated by the media.
  23. I read long ago that they prevent endothelic dysfunction (the lining of your blood vessels). I took a 5 mg dose of cialis for years, but it started to lower my blood pressure too much so I had to stop.
