    Jumping in to offer this perspective: I haven't lost interest in hiring at all, unfortunately for my wallet. However, I hesitate more because of the way bareback has become the norm. I think the trend is unfortunate for these reasons: First, it's very tempting. Bareback IS so much more exciting. Second, I really don't want to go on PrEP, long term affects have not been studied, I'd worry about not complying with the regimen, and honestly I just hate taking chronic meds. Third. all evidence is that drug-resistant STDs are on the rise, and PrEP does nothing to prevent any but HIV. And finally, there's a lot of rationalization and misinformation out there that comes up in conversation with providers about how its OK to go bare now. I've had two conversations with providers about how relying on condoms without PrEP use is irresponsible on my part because condoms can break. I see the point, but its a kind of a mindfuck for someone who has been as careful as I've been for as long as I've been.

     

    So honestly, I'm thinking of retiring this hobby for that reason.

    These threads always turn into 5+ pages of PrEP advocate vs. the condom user; there is no right or wrong. Your body, your prerogative.

     

    And the topic is always about providers who do not wish to use condoms, which I don't think is fair because about 80% of clients who contact me, us, escorts, want to play bare, and that is not specific to any one city. It is in every city. I'm thrilled to hear everyone here still values condom-use but the most active and vocal users on this forum, while lovely, are not representative of the "common" client.

    I hire at least monthly, and can think of only once in the last two years where my date asked me to wear a condom. I've often been encouraged not to, and in those conversations -- since my preference is to top -- a common rationale I hear is that I'm not the one at risk. So boy, there's a lot of misinformation and rationalization.

     

    Agree, that this debate has shown up here in quite a few threads However, I appreciate them as a reminder of the risks. That CDC vid on the clap certainly got my attention.

    Always appreciate candid feedback - thanks ML2 - ya gotta admit, though, the dude has amazing hair ...

    Speaking of his hair, I exchanged messages with him too. In the exchange I inquired about his parameters, and the only thing he listed was that he didn't like his hair messed up. Made me laugh. So, I guess he spends some time getting it right, lol.

    Well, if I see him he will be bottoming. Something he already has said he's "very interested" in doing. I honestly don't care about how horse hung he is, but will report back for those that do, lol.

    Collin needed an editor before posting his response. Grammatical errors aside, I doubt an attorney would allow his or her client to post threats. Collin might want to reconisder to whom his $5,000.00 should go; a different type of counselor (as opposed to legal) comes to mind. No sarcasm intended.

    Also, he's not going to find a lawyer prepared to be "ruthless" in a defamation suit for 5k. Needs to up the budget for the threat to pass the smell test.

    Here's what I do:

     

    1. On Rentmen, scroll down to reviews and select "Read all reviews about...". Then copy that URL

    2. Go to www.hide.me. Under the "VPN Apps" dropdown menu, select "Free Proxy"

    3. A blue box pops up with a URL field, two more dropdowns and a yellow button labeled "Visit Anonymously." Paste the URL from RM here. Open the "More Options" dropdown and make sure all 5 five boxes are checked. Then hit the yellow button, and you should be back into RM, now with comments visible in the Reviews.

     

    Hope this helps.

    So I decided to reach out to him (via text) to see what his rates were and if he's versatile in his actions or not. :)

     

    He politely responded that he does not bottom.

    Just noticed that this guy has even more butt pics in his ad now than before, so wondering if he as evolved? Any new insights?

    My two cents: I'm from a family of LEOs -- although we call them cops lol -- and all for standing up against criminal activity, but the time to do that was during the shakedown, by calling his bluff, picking up the phone and dialing 911. Now -- well, we know this guy is a creep, he knows where you live and if reported now I'd be worried about retaliation -- vandalism or other property damage, getting stalked and beat up on the street or worse. Pains me to say it because so unfair, but at this point I'd chalk this up to a $1500 lesson learned rather then spending the next 6 weeks 24/7 looking over my shoulder.

    Scammers are growing bolder and bolder.

     

    Incidentally, there are real (corrupt) cops in Tijuana who find a pretext for arresting someone, then just ask for money in exchange for release. It’s happened to a couple of friends of mine. But yeah — those were actual cops. Yours was not. And like an earlier poster noted, legitimate undercover operations are generally composed of several people, or so I’ve read. I’ve also read that they are recorded, so a real cop wouldn’t ask for a bribe, I think... Anyway, I hope this doesn’t haunt your psyche too much. That sucks.

    Right, this sounds like something that LEOs wouldn't do in the U.S. But it does happen elsewhere, A young very American looking/dressing friend of mine just had drugs planted on him in a Columbian restaurant, followed by an attempted arrest by LEOs. Luckily his girlfriend, who is Columbian, saw it and confronted them loudly and shamed them into backing down in front of all the restaurant patrons as witnesses. Bottom line, beware when traveling.

    Apart from the poorly edited ad, who but a bobble-head, notwithstanding looks and charm, would publicly broadcast one's American spouse's illegal escort trade here like it's a Pride parade float?

    Just to be clear, your sentence in quotes is not a verbatim quote from Dane's ad, which is how I first read it. Rather your interpretation based on some assumptions, as you say. Anyway, agreed that discussion of his American bf being available is naive at this time in history, and risky.

    His RM reviews shoe odd scheduling issues. Or I guess time issues. The negatives ones all refer to friend/ roommate issues or just rushing. Not that there are many negative reviews though. Most are shining reviews!

    I almost broke a rule about hiring in my hometown because I thought he was really hot. Definitely got a flaky vibe from him re scheduling. We had a date, he cancelled as I was about to jump in an Uber because he "had friends over" then tried to reschedule with me during mornings or at a local hotel. So there is something odd going on that seems to be pattern. Just to be clear though, I haven't met him and it looks from other comments like he delivers once you get past the scheduling weirdness.
