ok so yesterday as I was passing KFC I finally succumbed to it calling me. It's been many years as I became a Popeye's fan but the last time a year ago it was terrible. So after wrestling with myself in the KFC parking lot I went in and ordered the crispy 3 piece dark meat with fries.  The fries were spectacular so crispy outside and soft inside but the chicken was even more spectacular. Hot,crispy and juicy large pieces which to me seemed like a thinner coating than years ago. Unfortunately I won't be going back soon as I have health issues which forbid it but I can enjoy the memory.

I had an appointment with my pulmonologist yesterday and was surprised to see that masking no longer required in office however my dr and masked up in exam room.  Masking is still required in the hospital where my cardiologist office is and also at my oncologist.

I just spent 16 days in the hospital after getting Covid and pneumonia.....doctors said it was because my immune system was impaired due to chemo for lymphoma.  I was put on a 10 day IV regimen of remdesivir.  Feeling better now but it really kicks the shit out of you. I'm still weak and cannot go about my normal daily routine. And yes I was vaxxed and boosterd twice.

Covid spread through our Christmas dinner.  Several relatives started getting sick a few days after including my 93 year old mom but she recoverd quickly.  I on the other hand have never been so sick.  On a good note I lost 5 pounds in 2 days though not a great way to lose weight.

Just to say that the food banks are hurting and it's a great time to make a donation.  My family only buy gifts for the small children and for the adults we accumulate what we would spend and donate it to local food banks in their name. We have been doing it for several years now and it's so much better than going crazy trying to figure out buying gifts that many times do unused and stuck in a closet somewhere.

I now keep my credit cards in one of those wallets that block skimmers. A few years ago I went to Walgreens and only had my discover card in wallet. I had never used it and several days later charges started appearing on my card for various stores including Apple. Of course I disputed the charges and was not held liable.

I use Private Internet Access....been using it for several years now however many websites especially ones using Google ads will not load until I turn it off.
