Will You Watch The New "Murphy Brown"?
maninsoma replied to + Avalon's topic in TV and Streaming services
I thought the first episode was better than the second. The highlight for me (other than the yumminess of Avery) is Miles. That character's neuroses just come to life in a funny way as portrayed by Grant Shaud. -
I'm sorry to hear you wasted your time trying to meet Ricky/Billy/Latinocruz. It makes me glad that I've never decided to go through the hassle of traveling to San Jose to meet him. I'd be livid if I spent an hour and a half to get to him and have him not be there.

This is the same guy who filmed some scenes for Sean Cody under the name Trevor? I wouldn't have guessed he's the same person since he looks so different in the photos in his ad. Or did he film his scenes using a different name?

I agree that it's odd, and I also wonder if it's just someone's idea of a joke. The masseur describes his service as "gimmicky" and includes ice among the list of items he can use to scrub his clients? Have you ever heard of someone wanting his or her bare skin covered with ice?

I searched and found a previous thread. A forum member seems to have had a scheduled appointment with Billy but something happened where the appointment didn't occur. I'm not clear whether Billy just stood the client up or what happened. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/411-billy-in-san-jose-ca.115842/page-2 Oh, just to point out to those who have not followed what's happened to various provider websites over the past few years: none of the Backpage links in that previous thread will work.

Yes, he has been discussed here before. My memory of the discussion is that quite a few members have noticed his ad over the years but no one has surfaced who has actually met him, so there is no feedback about him on the message center. He does, however, have 10 reviews on Daddy's, the most recent being from just a few months ago. Unfortunately only reviews 9 and 10 are available and they both claim to be "first reviews" written by the same person two years apart. That gives me pause. To see what was written, look for Billy in San Jose. I've been enamored by his photos (which he updates quite frequently) for years and probably would have contacted him if he lived in San Francisco (even though he claims to be in San Francisco in some of his ads, in others it's clear he's actually in San Jose). I'd rather go out and am not inclined to rent a car or deal with a combination of train and ride share to see someone.

La Taqueria definitely has a strong following and is highly recommended by lots of people. I only went there once. While I liked it, I didn't love it enough to deal with the fact that it's always super busy. I actually think I prefer La Corneta a block away anyway, and while it's also popular the dining area is much larger so it's much easier to get a seat.

Small dining area downstairs, a bigger one (though still small) upstairs.

Eww. I guess I didn't make it to that post. I agree -- that's over-the-top. -
It only happened to me once. A guy with a large dick was really rough with me -- more rough than I can usually handle, but it was fun in the moment because the roughness fit his bad-boy look.

If you love Indian food and want to gorge yourself, the admittedly expensive (for a buffett) lunch at Amber India downtown (near the City Center Target) is the best Indian buffet I've had anywhere. This isn't your typical buffet with only a few choices of perhaps last night's leftovers; it's freshly prepared and usually has some dishes that one might not even see at other Indian restaurants, much less at a buffet. (If you don't like the thought of a buffet, you can order off the menu instead.)

Tu Lan is not open on Sundays, I believe.

I don't know the guy and don't have a dog in this race, but I scrolled through quite a few pages of his social media posts and didn't detect anything particularly off putting. Yes, he's an attractive young man so he posts a lot of sexy photos of himself. Maybe if he had an office job, it would be a bit weird to post so many shirtless photos of himself in order to show off. But he's an escort. Why would anyone take offense at him showing what he has to offer? I didn't even notice any arrogance in the captions to his photos. He's obviously confident, but not in an obnoxious way. Maybe he is full of himself in person, but I wouldn't make that assumption based on his social media posts. To each his own. -
What the Healthcare Industry can Learn from Aviation
maninsoma replied to mike carey's topic in The Lounge
Here I was expecting to see a sarcastic post about how the healthcare industry could start nickle and diming its customers after already charging them for the basic service provided. Surely in a hospital setting this is already done ($20 for a pill that costs a few pennies over-the-counter), but when I visit my doctor I pay my copay and that's it. I can just imagine being charged a fee if I wanted to have an appointment versus just waiting in line (assigned seat in advance versus getting one at the gate). -
Happy birthday!

If I were a masseur or escort, I certainly wouldn't want my precise location available to everyone who looked at my ad. But I don't think that identifying a zip code, for example, is giving away too much. For potential clients, that's a lot more useful than simply showing a pin on a map that's roughly the center of a city.
-
I don't think a name in this case is necessary, but the rest of the post was sufficiently vague that it's difficult to know what went wrong. We know the client's initial offer wasn't between $30 and $400 but we don't know what it was. Was it $300? If so, I would hope that a "porn star escort" would at least appreciate that that is a reasonable offer -- even if he believes he should be paid more -- and instead of responding with indignation provide a counter offer. But if the client's offer was $200 (a typical rate two decades ago but something generally not found today and certainly not a rate a "porn star" would expect), I could understand the escort just viewing the inquiry as a waste of time and shutting the door. For bartering to work well, both parties have to be reasonable with their offers lest the other side think that spending any time on the negotiation is simply not worth it.
-
I suppose this was dependent on the advertiser's wishes, but I noticed that some ads "map me" would show an approximate location that seemed accurate based on other information in their ads, while many would appear to me within one block of my own address. Since I knew that not all of those guys were literally within one block from me, I assume it was just using my own location.

I am sure he is just concerned about noise from renters creating problems for neighbors and, thus, problems for him. I had an upstairs neighbor evicted several years ago because the inconsiderate slobs thought nothing of renting their small 1-bedroom apartment to groups of 4 young people at a time who would make a ton of noise until it was time to go out to a bar and then make a ton of noise again right after the bars closed. In other words, I had about 3-4 hours of quiet per night most nights. At first I just thought someone new had moved in upstairs who was inconsiderate, but it didn't take me long to realize that every time I went upstairs to complain about the noise a different person answered the door. The final proof came when one of their renters was outside my apartment in the hallway with her suitcase and her stuff strewn all over, with my supposed neighbor standing over her telling her. Guess she overstayed her booking so the "master tenant" made her pack her suitcase in the hallway. I decided to open my door to ask what was going on and my supposed neighbor said the woman was a friend who had just been visiting. I told her that I was aware that she had been having a lot of "visitors" and it was quite disruptive to other tenants in the building. The landlord was quite interested to find out from my identifying their listing that he was charging them $1,500/month rent and they were taking in more than $3,000/month. Within a couple of months, they were gone and a new actual tenant moved in. I'm not entirely anti-VRBO/airbnb and when I visit LA I typically look for an apartment because I can get something nicer than a hotel for less money. But I would never create a nuisance like most of the renters of the place above me did, and the "hosts" usually are very clear in their listings about limiting the number of guests, a ban on having parties, etc.

I quoted you because my experience is different than yours. Instead of suggesting that the person worried about a masseur trying to top him simply not worry because it NEVER happens, I think he should instead be reassured by knowing that he can set limits with which he is comfortable.

What a bummer! After I posted the above, I watched two more episodes On Demand. Now it looks like the show is no longer available On Demand, at least not from Xfinity. Had I known the show was going to vanish in a week I would have watched the rest of the series that day!

Well, if that was an attempt at humor, it failed on me.

Why would it be a "miscarriage of justice" when a murderer is convicted? I get that you are stating that the guy's wife (whom you affectionately call a bitch) probably "planned it all," but unless she is the one who pulled the trigger as well then it's difficult to understand your sympathy for him. My quick research shows that Kimberly Smith was initially given probation for her role in this situation but then later was sentenced to three years in prison for violating the terms of her probation. I'm honestly not that motivated to read even more details about these people or this case, but it's difficult for me to comprehend how you could argue a position that somehow the person who didn't actually fire the gun deserves to be locked up but the actual shooter doesn't.

I have had a few masseurs top me, and some have tried to enter me without putting on a condom first. I don't want to create paranoia because unless the therapist is a rapist, the client can control whether the therapist can enter him. It's pretty easy to tell as a client if the therapist is trying to top you and unless you are totally spaced out it also should be quite obvious whether he took any time out to unwrap a condom and wrap up his dick. Either wrapped or unwrapped, if you don't want the therapist to penetrate you then say so and don't just go along with the flow as his dick starts pressing against your hole.

Just stumbled upon this thread. This man is so sexy but I had no idea who he was. Fortunately an image search revealed it's Davood Ghadami, who is apparently well known "across the pond" but perhaps not so much in the USA.
