Hey, viewing ownly, I'm still here. I'm just Summerson these days and the funniest part is that we've been talking in PMs for a while, as you'll realize when you check your inbox. I had no idea you didn't realize I was...well...me. When the new webmaster for this site came up with a way to allow name changes, I decided to go for it, because switching to Summerson allowed me to align my identity across many of the sites I currently use, including this one and RM, as well as my primary email account. It's been a lot less confusing for folks this way. Check out my signature line below. There was a time long ago when I was Romany147 most places online, but that name was tied to an old Excite.com email address that no longer exists. Sorry for any confusion. I guess my next question is whether you thought you were talking to "old me" or "new me" when we talked in PS the last two years.

I did this for the first time when I invited Bode to join us for the Palm Springs weekend last April. He researched the flights that worked best for him and let me know the cost. I sent him the money and he booked his flights using his own credit card. I wouldn't enter this kind of arrangement with someone I didn't trust, but then I wouldn't be hiring someone I didn't trust either. I think it worked for us because I'm usually pretty reachable via my phone and if the price had suddenly increased, he could have let me know he needed additional funds. That wasn't the case and the entire trip went smoothly. I can certainly understand people needing/wanting to do things differently, but keeping it simple worked well for us.

What makes a great ad for you to want to hire ?
+ Summerson replied to Ali Gator's topic in Questions About Hiring
Obviously clear, well lit, current photos are important. Ads with at least one full face photo and one or more smiles get bumped to the front of the line. As far as words go, I do love intelligence and a sense of humor, so when someone finds a way to share one or both of those qualities in their ad copy, it always attracts my interest. I guess I do have a preference for providers who identify as gay, but will consider bi guys sometimes, depending on other factors. Providers who identify as straight aren't of much interest to me. I do have some specific kinks I usually like to indulge when I hire, so I look for guys who have those marked as things they're into on their profiles. On rare occasion, I have asked someone who didn't have any indication and they've usually said yes, but it's much more fun for me if they actually somewhat enjoy at least some of the same things that I do. I don't usually ask because I don't want to waste their time or risk offending them, so that means if they don't include the possibility in their ad, I'll probably never know. And of course overall type does play a huge roll. As I've said many times before, speaking only for myself, there honestly can be too many abs or too much muscle. I'm much more interested in some version of the guy-next-door. I'll leave the bodybuilders to those who prefer them. -
I guess it sounds cliche, but the things that really attract my interest first are features like a great smile and nice eyes. The whole face, really, if I'm being totally honest. A great butt is always appreciated - LOL. I can find a range of physiques attractive, from slender to dad bods, but for my personal taste, there definitely is such a thing as too many abs and too much muscle. And winning personality/sense of humor are the key elements that ensure future bookings. As someone once wrote in a thread here (can't remember who or which thread) "If you can make me laugh, you're definitely getting invited back."

As a client, my answer is yes, several. And if I may be so bold as to expand the question to include people I've met at the April Palm Springs gatherings over the years (events I only learned about because of these forums) and subsequently hired, then the number grows even higher.

I saw that production and enjoyed it very much. A few months later I was at Joe's Pub @ The Public Theater, watching some friends perform as part of a benefit for the Ali Forney Center. Cherry Jones was also in the audience, a couple of tables away from mine. At some point during the show, someone introduced her from the stage and invited her to come up and do something. She shared from her seat that she "only had one talent," (much laughter from the audience) which was "drawing hand-turkeys" (even more laughter). She meant the way kids in kindergarten trace around their spread hand on a piece of paper and color in the thumb as the turkey's head and the fingers as the tailfeathers. Don't know if it was planned or not, but someone raced off somewhere and came back with a stack of paper and some markers and Cherry Jones sat at her table and drew a bunch of hand-turkeys and people bid hundreds of dollars to own each one. She is a high-quality human, IMHO.

I'm booked at InnDulge 4/10-4/15, although those dates may hopefully expand a little. Just FYI: Inndulge seems to have continued with a policy they started last year, requiring a minimum stay of five nights for most of their room types during the time when we're in town. Last year they grandfathered me in with my usual four night stay, but let me know it was a change they were making. If you search for a stay arriving Thursday and leaving Monday, only one room type shows up. Extend that stay in either direction by one night and more available room types appear. That's as of tonight, 9/26, although I caution that when I checked just now to make sure this was still true, rooms seem to be going quickly. Inndulge doesn't take a deposit until much closer to April and you can cancel without penalty until deposit time, so reserving soon might be a good idea if Inndulge is where you want to stay.

If you search for "YourHunk" (aka Nate) in the forums, you'll find a lot of complimentary posts from me. I've been having fun at this rodeo for a long, long time and Nate is one of my top ten favorite guys for sure. Like I always say, everything in this game is subjective and everyone's taste is different, which to me is part of what makes these forums fun. I find Nate intelligent, caring, creative, skilled at what he does, and sexy as hell, but your mileage may vary. The one downside that I need to be honest about is that he's been using many of his photos for a long time. I usually prefer the folks with whom I have fun to be closer to the older end of the spectrum but again, that's my personal taste. I only offer the caveat about his photos in the spirit of full disclosure, and I still find him breathtakingly handsome every time I lay eyes on the guy. Nate is part of our annual April Palm Springs weekend, so hopefully folks more eloquent than I will chime in with their opinions.

This is actually one of my favorite aspects of BenjaminNicholas. My toes curl every time he does it. 🤣 (but also) 💓.

Always the first recommendation I make when someone asks this: YourHunk aka Nate from Long Beach. Intelligent, charming, kind, sexy as hell, experienced and talented in all kinds of fun ways. I could go on and on, but I'll just say he's one of my top five guys ever and I've been playing this game a long, long time. Having said that, I must admit that sometimes variety is the spice of life, so please allow me to also recommend Jake Nicola. Honestly, all of the same positives apply to Jake. Smart, charming, sexy, experienced, you get the idea. He's also an amazing, professionally trained dancer which adds to his appeal for me. As always, all of this is subjective and your mileage may vary, but I feel confident these two offer excellent companionship and service.

Yeah, but you know you're right up there at the top of the list with him, Mr. Suraci!

I've been thinking hard about how to answer this question, because I've been lucky enough to see a lot of plays in my lifetime. I might well have echoed the choice of Angels in America if I hadn't been seated directly behind Tommy Tune for Part I the week it opened on Broadway in 1993. Through no fault of his own, Mr. Tune was several yards taller than the rest of us in the audience and since I'd let my companion have the aisle seat, I didn't have a lot of room to lean around him to see. It was still a performance I'll never forget. But I also remember a very different play that I saw Off-Broadway (coincidentally also in 1993): The Best of Friends by Hugh Whitemore. Here's the summary from the current licensing webpage: "This unusual play by the author of Breaking the Code is adapted from the letters and writings of Dame Laurentia McLachlan, Sir Sydney Cockerell and George Bernard Shaw, close friends who exchanged a flood of correspondence during their lives. Their letters and essays are cleverly woven into a play about friendship, love of learning, and the inquiring mind's incessant search for answers to the big questions." The three characters were real-life childhood friends who grew up to be separated by geographic distance and their vocations, which kept each of them busy much of the time. George Bernard Shaw was...George Bernard Shaw. Not much introduction needed, I guess. Sydney Cockerell became the curator of the Fitzwilliam Museum of the University of Cambridge. Dame Laurentia became a Benedictine nun and Abbess of Stanbrook from 1931 to 1953, as well as an authority on church music. They kept in close touch with each other through letters for their entire adult lives. In the 1993 Off-Broadway production I saw, Roy Dotrice played Shaw, Michael Allinson played Cockerell, and Diana Douglas (mother of Michael Douglas) played Dame Laurentia. I've never forgotten how closely, specifically, and joyfully they all worked on that stage. It was absolutely a wonder.

Just adding my voice to the folks saying time spent with Adam is time (and $) well spent, IMHO. I've had a lot of fun with Adam over the years and, as others have said above, his ad does seem to be currently active in Los Angeles.

I can only speak for myself, but what Simon says is absolutely my history with the site. I've been hanging out here reading posts since the Neolithic Hooboy Era, but I only officially joined and starting posting myself 11 years ago when I was 46. I've been trying to remember what inspired me to make the leap, but I just can't. Was it a post I read? Did someone ask about a provider I'd hired?

Palm Spring meeting Which escorts are attending?
+ Summerson replied to + purplekow's topic in The Lounge
Here are a couple of new fun folks who'll be joining us in April for the first time. They're both going to be staying with me at Inndulge, but are looking forward to making all kinds of new connections. Bode Brentwood will be arriving on Friday and Louie will arrive on Thursday. They'll both likely post in this thread with more info later, but they asked me to drop their links today since I had the time. They're both great guys. Feel free to reach out to them directly.
