Yes. And my take is he is waving money in front of boys to see who will jump higher. 100% correct. This is me giving you that extra insight on the provider side - It would be better if he did this research here FIRST, then reach out to the guy he most wanted to see.
-
Providers prospective - I was in China and went to a market and there was this white guy who was bartering for a trinket. He had the trinket in one hand and was waving the money above the girls head to make her jump up to catch it in order to complete the sale, pulling it higher every time she jumped up. This is what you are doing to these providers by reaching out to play with them and make them dance for your enjoyment with no intention to hire. Just reach out to the one you like the best. (it is different if you reach out and you don't like the way the provider replies and move on - but toying with both when you are only going to hire one is typical time waster behavior)
-
as many do - when I first started I charged slightly below market rate, you need time to build up confidence, get some reviews under your belt and then you can start charging market rate. Clients are typically wary of new guys - it's a gamble to see them as opposed to someone with established presence. It sounds very normal to me.

Awful thing to have happen. But you did send a deposit to someone who has been on rentmen for only a few weeks, only one review, and only one photo. He also has only three words on his profile. Only send deposits to people who are - well reviewed both here and on rentmen, and only send a small deposit. Simple rules if you think with your big head and not with your little one. No need for him to steal from you though, but this was somewhat foreseeable.

I love this!

Charging $400/hour, staying in a $105/night hotel.
SecretProvider replied to + glutes's topic in Questions About Hiring
how do you expect them to make a profit? -
read the pushback i got here on this thread when i explained that it is decent courtesy to wash thoroughly before a session..... I have had experience with people who have no idea, but was genuinely shocked that some people just don't seem to care or worse feel entitled to show up dirty adn expect an intimate experience.

Getting back into escorting - how much can I earn?
SecretProvider replied to xtqlbz's topic in Questions About Hiring
I am shocked by the accuracy of the comments on this thread! Big round of applause to @Becket who could not have been on the money if he tried. Perfect answer. It is bang on correct. Everything he has said is gospel. It is rare to get better advice online than he has given you here. A lot of providers inflate how much they are making, or they are honest about a really good week/month and then pretend that is the standard. Guys who make the big big money are mostly in porn/twitter/OF because they can charge a really high fee- and everyone else who make that sort of money work their tails off. -
If the outcall rate is steep, don't bother!
SecretProvider replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
outcalls can be a drain for a number of reasons - having to walk into an unkonwn area, fake clients pranking, travel time just to name a few. But i think the title to this thread could be changed to : If the outcall rate is steep, do incall instead! -

Hiring a provider with not very many reviews
SecretProvider replied to Rbaine2336's topic in Questions About Hiring
Sure: 1. check who has left the reviews - new accounts, or accounts that have been around a while and left reviews for other guys too? Reach out to those reviewers and ask things you need to know without asking too much - ( do they kiss? did they have a suitable apartment? would you see them again?) 2. Post a 411 here- maybe they have set up a new account and have a name change. if so why? you will see reveiws for old account name that may explain things. 3. ask for confirmation through WhatsApp, BRIEF facetime or Snapchat to see pics are real - although i think with 6 reviews you are fine. 4. do not send a deposit (if requested) larger than $50. post reviews here after your meeting to pay it forward and help your community. -
A significant number of twinks are attracted to older men, and these relationships are often characterized by mutual attraction and reciprocal benefit. As long as they are of age - I don't think you should be worried or concerned at all. Go for what you enjoy!
-
You are not alone - there are a lot of people who get pleasure by giving pleasure. I can only speak for myself - but it is a really nice change of pace when I get a client who wants to flip those dynamics and focus on giving pleasure.

Can a provider on rent men un-block you?
SecretProvider replied to viewing ownly's topic in The Lounge
yeah we can go to our 'blocked users' list and unblock someone. -
I agree with @Jamie21 clients who are looking for 'right now' generally are best to be avoided. Same day appointments are fine, but we do need minmum 1hr notice Why getting into arguments? How hard is it to say 'sorry thats not something I can provide, thanks for considering me, have a nice day.'

The answer is going to vary for every provider so the best thing to do, and i feel like i repeat myself a lot when I say this: Talk to your provider! Communicate. Be clear and communicate what your expectation and desires for the booking is. Ask for what you want. And lastly, ENJOY!

Birthday Etiquette With Your Favorite Provider(s)? 🎂
SecretProvider replied to + 7829V's topic in Questions About Hiring
I have been sent texts and given gifts and i think its really sweet. I'd prefer a gift or extra tip over a venmo. Only good regulars would know the time of my birthday anyway. -
Question regarding communication with a new provider
SecretProvider replied to steve10025's topic in Questions About Hiring
when clients say they want to be fucked for a loooong time, it generally is code for 'i want to PNP and take cock for hours', which is a bit of a red flag, or it means they are starting to engage is sexting. Going into this much detail for a booking that far in advance - also a bit of a red flag. (common tactic for guys wanting to text and never book - say its in a few weeks time so you have a bigger window to engage) But other commenters have also pointed out - mint boys does attract providers on the lower end of scale. A thing to learn from both sides here. -
How much personal real-life information do you share?

You know what they are about assuming? 😜 -
How much personal real-life information do you share?
SecretProvider replied to Wings246's topic in Questions About Hiring
When I started working I created a fake alias for myself and would adapt it for each client - then it became to hard to remember and i got caught out - something silly like saying I was studying art history instead of economics - so I just decided to be myself, and it has been much better. I am able to give clients authenticity. The only thing I leave to myself is my real name. I feel it keeps a part of me protected emotionally. -
Because I have time today, The red flags listed: - I'm new. (for reasons mentioned above) - creating a new profile to reach out. (this is often done by spam bots who create new accounts daily, or seasoned tire kickers who know if we see how old/visit the profile they have had means they wouldn't be messaging this way if they were genuine.) -Not answering the very simple yet important question, which had to be asked THREE TIMES - what do you want to do? What do you get into? What do you like to do when it comes to gay sex? (could be answered in a non-explicit way, although to be fair I despise when people answer with 'i'm looking to have fun' because what the hell does that mean) For me this was the biggest red flag. - asking questions that are already answered on his profile no1 - (do you do bb) listed on our profiles as safe only/ask me/anything goes. Maybe this provider had 'ask me' as his answer but the following two points would suggest that is not the case. - asking questions that are already answered on his profile no2 - (are you neg) If he has taken the time to set up a new profile to reach out, why wouldn't he have read the providers stats? He was elongating the conversation for interaction. - asking questions that are already answered on his profile no3 - asking the provider what THEY are into (this a common theme for the tire kickers trying to elicit free conversation of sexual nature. You tell us what YOU like, what we 'like' other than getting paid is irrelevant and the truthful answer is probably not fucking you) - asking sexual questions with obvious answers - do you like to breed. (find me one top who would say 'no i hate it') - He asked about traveling and hosting, despite later saying he only wanted to travel. Why would he ask about both if he only wanted one. If he wanted the provider to host he would have said "i am looking for someone to host, where are you located?' (example of elongating conversation instead of making a booking) - "and other services?" This is a classic way to get conversation instead of booking. Real client would say 'i saw you list available for videos, can i ask what you allow?" or " i would be really interested in filming some of our encounter, is that included in a session?" these questions would provide an answer, but that is not what he wanted - he wanted to explore conversations ABOUT making videos, rather than meeting and actually doing it. I hope this illustrates more about how the language of his texts were trying to get a conversation rather than firm down a booking. Does only one of these things mean automatic red flag block and ignore? Of course not. But the sum is greater than the parts, and after a while you start to be able to spot them easier.

As I mentioned in my post - it is a regular occurrence that 'clients' message and say 'hey this is my first time reaching out' and then we discover evidence to the contrary. It was the first time-waster red-flag in his messages. Does it automatically mean he is lying? No. But more often than not it is fanciful and makes us proceed with caution. (re-read my post for examples of how we know this) You don't see any indication because you are a customer and not a worker. You have seen this message once, we see them daily all the time. We are professionals. A builder can spot defects on a wall much quicker than an untrained eye. Trust me, there are many that simply looking at his pics while getting to text him and have him text back and just imagine what they could be doing together is sufficient - and best of all: FREE. As someone who actually has experience and knowledge in these types interactions DAILY, there were things that raise red flags that you wouldn't see but we do. Yes you are right the provider COULD have sounded more excited "Oh I LOVE FLEXING MY PECS' 'YOU CREATED THE PROFILE TO MESSAGE ME? WHAT A COMPLIMENT' and the result would have been the same - except the "client" would have continued to ask him about underwear and flexing his pecs, maybe asking for more pics of it (im sure that was his next step) then jerked off to completion and the provider would have spent that energy unpaid. Every other person here on this thread who DOES hire has said they would reach out in a different way. Because they are not tire kickers. And Hanlons Razor? I would have agreed with this when I was a newbie. But these people are not stupid, they are very very smart. They know exactly what they are doing.
