I just ordered the DVD's of Krypton from the library. I watched about half the first season when it first aired, I don't see it on any of my streaming services. My renewed interest is based on finding Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca in Ted Lasso) was in it.

I saw it last night, going in with high expectations 90% based on Krypto the superdog being in the movie. I was a little bit disappointed. Krypto did not disappoint, my friends were all very impressed with Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. I think the 1978 Christopher Reeve is still the best. Final post-credits scene with Supergirl was pretty funny. I have watched with much amusement over the past few months as the fans of the Zack Snyder / Henry Cavill Superman absolutely lose their minds criticizing this movie 🤓

You're right. One of my continuing issues with this series is mixing up the Russells with the Van Rhijn/Forte households, particular the downstairs crew. Larry is flirting with Marian Van Rhijn, not his own sister 😁

I agree. The last episode was a prime example of what I found tiring about the whole season, just one big argument/grief-airing behind the restaurant. And the looooong pauses between lines of dialog - I started timing them 😞 I have never warmed up to Richie. First season he was an idiot who thought he knew everything. I never bought his 5-day conversion into a competent intelligent person when he went to work at the other restaurant.

are you talking about Strange New Worlds? With Ansoun Mount as Captain Pike? I didn't know that was on Amazon Prime, I watch it on Paramount+. I love that show. I recommend Lower Decks on Paramount+ too, animated, set in the time after Next Generation, about one of Starfleet's not-so-cool ships and the lower-ranked crew. Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks did a crossover episode last season which was amazing. The new season of SNW starts this month.

I tried the 'soaking in salt water' method on a camping trip; before we left I shredded the potatoes and put them in a ziploc bag with salt water. My turn for breakfast was a couple days in - that bag was a black disgusting mess. I'm not sure how long you can soak them, but definitely not a couple days.
