Looks like he's checking to see if they're all wearing a jock under their shorts? I still remember 8th grade gym class, the first session the coach announced we'd all have to have a jock and he'd be doing jock checks. The checks never happened but it simultaneously terrified and titillated 12-year-old me.

I have not but I absolutely loved his book about building the cathedral in the middle ages, "Pillars of the Earth". My dad turned me on to that book and he was quite upset that the miniseries did not follow the book exactly 😁

Difficult for me to say since I've watched the series over a dozen times easily, and both movies. It *might* make sense? But you'll definitely enjoy it more if you know the background.

I finished it last night and really loved it. Shallow man that I am, the attractive actors and the aforementioned nude scene scored points. The characters, even the 'bad' ones, are likeable. Plenty of strong women. It seems very likely there will be another season.

If you tipped well they're more likely to remember you.

I'm about halfway through and really enjoying it. I'm coming right off "Black Rabbit" (also on Netflix) which has a similar "Two brothers, one's a chaos-creating loser" theme. I'm liking the characters (particularly the younger brother and the older brother's wife) and there's a good nude scene in episode 3. Bonus supporting role by Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey in Game of Thrones), I'm glad he's un-retired. It's got a disclaimer about not being historically accurate, but it has made me curious about reading more to see how accurate it is.

To @mikeyspark's credit in asking, many providers will consider the session complete once you've come. He's not unreasonable in wanting to delay that.

This has happened to me several times, it's mostly not weird. Probably the most awkward was running into a go-go boy at the gym (with his daughters) and he said something like "My worlds are colliding". I'm fighting my way through "Saturn's Child" by Charles Stross, after reading a review that said it was a fine homage to Heinlein's "Friday" (a guilty pleasure). It's a little TOO 'out there' for me. I keep thinking of Nancy Pearl's advice; If you’re fifty years old or younger, give every book about fifty pages before you decide to commit yourself to reading it, or give up. Over fifty? Subtract your age from 100 and use that as your guide. For what it's worth, I got to page 89 last night.

A couple friends got into Amway when we were in our 20's. They were insufferable about hawking it. Thankfully, they didn't stick with it for very long (or maybe they stopped bringing it up around me since my disdain was obvious).
