DenverDad got a reaction from + 7829V in RobCMTNY. - Massage Therapy by Rob (NYC/California)
YMMV. Had a good massage but wouldn't repeat. His attitude seemed like he was doing me a favor and couldn't wait to be done.

DenverDad reacted to muscmtl in TW: How did you survive?
I pozzed in 84, and the biggest lie is that hiv killed everyone. No doubt lots died, but a shit load of us survived. So how did we survive? by barebacking and not giving a fuck.

As someone in the same spot, there are definitely providers who are very much into back hair (or just professional enough not to care).

I’ve been on montjaro’s lowest dosage for one month
I still lost 12 lbs in a month with no side effects. I’m going to experiment with the next dosage to see if this track record holds…I have no desire to push the limits to where I feel like crap

DenverDad reacted to Simon Suraci in *Encouraging Providers to Participate more on Forums.
This thread is not long for this world - an example of one of the many reasons I don’t care to participate anymore. The irony is utterly lost here.
Thank you to all the good clients and quiet lurkers who appreciate what I and other providers have to say, and those choosing not to contribute to all the problematic behavior. I’ve met many of you in person and can confirm this community has many good people in it. It’s too bad the rotten apples spoil the barrel. Some of those bad apples are providers too. It goes both ways.
I have a voice, and I am willing to share it with those who want to listen. Going forward, it will be on my own terms, on my own platform, without censorship, or anyone saying that I can’t call a spade a spade. No clowns tolerated; I will suffer neither b***** nor fools. You will hear about it once it’s ready. Meanwhile, I have a living to make and a tour to complete.
I hope for the sake of all you who value this special place on the internet, that the moderators take this opportunity to look inward, to consider what kind of community they really want this to be and make changes to steer the ship in that direction. Maybe it isn’t really a place for providers to participate. Maybe it is. Maybe it’s truly a review platform with consistent criteria for clients to post more meaningful commentary and data points. It’s been since 2023 we were expecting such a review style platform to launch. Guess that isn’t happening.
Whichever direction the site administrators and moderators decide they want it to go, CoM can’t continue in a healthy way as it has been. It’s a fools errand for contributors to demand providers spend their time and energy here (for free) for the benefit of strangers on the internet, many of whom mock and ridicule us in return. This is my last piece of unsolicited advice. If you privately want my input, maybe some ideas to make positive changes, you know where to find me.
I’m done casting pearls to swine. It’s too bad some of the very good people will miss out because the loudest voices in the room are deafening squeals.
For now, good bye, and good luck.

This forum could be a real asset to providers. Being newer to RM, I only have 500 characters to communicate who I am and what I offer. This offers a chance to communicate more thoughtfully and give guys on the other side of this industry a more complete view of who I am.
But this can be a treacherous place for providers! Many of us have scaled back participation for that reason.
There's some really dominant toxic voices. There's a loud peanut gallery that seems to make a hobby of comments ranging from critical to derogatory about providers they've never met or hired. ("Needs to hit the gym," "Terrible tattoos," "Too girlie!" "Looks older than he lists," "PNP means he's a junkie!" "Smoker!") There's a strong risk of slander, against which it's all but impossible to defend yourself. (I've watched it happen to providers I know well and trust!) And there's some known scammers - about whom we all warn each other - regularly contributing as though they're legitimate clients.
If there were more to be gained here for us to participate, it would probably draw more of us back. A sub-forum to promote ourselves? Would anyone actually take advantage? Maybe not.
Worth noting: Every client I've met who uses this site - contributor or lurker - has been a top notch guy, just doing their research a bit more thoroughly. So the issue really does just seem to be the loudest most toxic voices.

I don’t post as often as I used to because there are a lot of really toxic men on here. Some are cool but most conversations devolve into rude comments and uncivilized communication. There are also several guys on the site that clearly dislike each other and can’t seem to just ignore one another so many threads are just them going at it. It just gets tiresome. At least that’s why I no longer contribute.

DenverDad reacted to + purplekow in Truth said about our "all embracing community"
I should think older people, no matter their orientation or gender, should have learned to deal with life in its various stages and should have made sure they were prepared, as much as possible, for the vicissitudes of life. . It is not a mystery what age brings. . As we age, we lose physical flexibility. but many gain fiscal flexibility. We lose the interest of youthful admirers but gain interest in out bank accounts. We lose sight and gain insight. We lose hearing but gain freedom from all the unnecessary noise.
Ultimately, I believe what this gentleman said is somewhat true, but that if older gay men want to be heard, they need to have something worthwhile to say. If they want to teach about gay history, they need to recognize that gay life has changed rather than bemoaning those changes. They need to accept the concept that being beautiful and desirable is more in who you are than what you see in the mirror.
Older gay men, and in most cases, older people in general, are best served growing up about growing old. There is no choice about aging, there is a choice to do so with grace and style.

DenverDad got a reaction from + azdr0710 in Mounjaro
Been on Mounjaro since April for diabetes management. I started with 2.5 then 5.0 a month later then 7.5 a month after that. My A1C went from 11.1 to 6.4 in about 2 months and I've lost 25 pounds since I've started (between the med and improved diet). All my side effects have been gastro related (sulpher burps, constipation) but all have been manageable with OTC meds and increasing my fiber and water intake. I've definitely noticed the decrease in food noise (constantly thinking about food) and decrease in appetite and cravings. For me, the improvement in my blood sugar alone has been a game changer and a life saver.
PM if you have any questions.
