I pretty much agree with Cooper on this. I certainly think a big red warning sign is important but don't like the "by invitation only" or "dislike people out" approaches. I don't enjoy forums where everyone agrees on everything. Even intelligent posters with information to offer get tossed out and then it becomes a dogfight as to who's the most "pure" on the party line. Cheerleader tryouts.

Forums are moderated with the "report" button and it's the mod's decision as to what is personal attacks and what is just unliked opinions or information. Personally I don't really pay much attention to trolls who are looking for a fight or to lonely people looking for friends. Both usually have simple posts and little new information. But the ones who come just to make personal insults against posters are too much to deal with. They spread poison that really makes a forum reek. And they should probably not be spending a lot of time online, they should be learning how to deal with other people. You can't act like that in real life; only behind a keyboard.

But the worst offenders for personal insults are the most liked !!! Who can throw the worst insults not only against the other tribe but against members of "our" tribe who intelligently voice any non-conformity. "A" is lonely and brings up simple things to start conversations. I disagree with virtually 100% of his politics. But he's polite and I politely ignore him. But "K...y", who I probably agree with on 90% of stuff, sometimes has useful information but his main purpose on the board is to hurl the most vile personal insults ad hominem directly at other people every day. I've never seen a board that tolerates repeated blasts of "pig", "moron", "stupid", "shut-up!", etc the way he gets away with every day. And it's probably because none of us hit the "report" button to get a mod to review those vile insults. Not only that but "K...y" has one of the highest number of "likes" on the board. Posters want a bloodly fight.

One of the things that made America great is our pragmatism. Free speech and democracy helped us try different things to see what worked. We didn't only tolerate one ideology. If an idea is bad it's going to fail when tried. But free speech is critical to come up with new ideas to try.

When you guys are done mourning the fraternity house that got closed for bullying, hazing, and hatred perhaps you should move on to how to clean it up.

I'm not a Democrat, nor am I a Republican. Yet I have been bullied for my beliefs. It's somehow ironic that the person that has maintained the message-forum since the turn of the century is one of the victims.

HooBoy wanted a Gentlemen's club. If we can not represent diversity and all of the different aspects of the LGTB community then why should we bother?

We have a real enemies that are driving a lot of hate. We need to be united if we want to keep the rights that so many have battled for over the last 50 years.

It's time to start working on the action plan that combats the problems Tulsi Gabbard talked about in her Dawali message in the first post. If this doesn't happen the PR&W forum will just silently slip away.

Halloween is the biggest party time of the year in Wilton Manors (in Fort Lauderdale, FL) and the three stripper clubs in town. Party events will begin on Saturday, Oct. 27, and run through Halloween on Wednesday, Oct. 31. All of the details have not yet been printed in "Hotspots Magazine" (as far as I know), but here are links to two of last year's issues, where you can thumb through and get an idea of what will be available. The stripper bars and other venues will have similar events this year. Watch on-line for the next three issues of "Hotpots," which will have all of the details for this year. The stripper bars, Johnson's, Boardwalk, and LeBoy, usually have guest dancers, contests for customers and costumes, and theme nights beginning on Oct. 27.

The highlight is the Great Block Party on Halloween, October 31. Wilton Drive will be closed to auto traffic from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. from 21st Street to 26th Street. Thousands of people, most in costume, will be walking up and down the drive, enjoying the free entertainment and plenty of places to get food and drink, to see and to be seen. It is billed as the largest gay Halloween party in the U.S.

Here is the link to the Block Party, "Wicked Manors."

Here are two issues of "Hotspots" from last year. Thumb through the pages to see other
venues and events from last year - they will certainly be repeated this year.

Irtwo reacted to Mocha in When you know you can do better, but can't locally.
One thing I can't stand: Being in a home base location, and for whatever reason...there's not only no appointments in town, but all surrounding areas as well.

That's been the case in my current market. I've been advertising in my local and nearby areas on all the sites (except massurfinder, which I'm contemplating each month), and nothing locally. Yet, I also have my ad in other cities as I'm ready to get touring ASAP. Weeks like this mess up my budget, and motivates me to just stay on the tour and avoid stagnating in one market. I'm getting requests in other cities I am advertising in, but yet can't get much out here since last week.

I'm just like how is it humanly possible that I can't find a single booking client for a whole week or 2 in 3 local cities with fairly large populations and tourist influx, yet my phone is ringing off the hook in the other states I put my ad up in? If I were visiting this area, I would have left the Monday before last (after I met a lovely forum member and had the bestest Saturday night all summer), and got the hell on to the next market. But I'm forced to stay because I've been having car maintenance issues to tend to, and have to pay for new insurance/registration. All of which has me pressed for cash, which is not happening.

Fortunately I've not made a permanent home in the area yet. At this rate, I have serious reservations about doing so. In the past...Florida has too many of these dead weeks. I just feel like this place has too many options. There's lots of escorts, lots of free sex, bath houses, I just don't feel anyone can realistically get a steady hold on business here. It's fun, and yes there's tons of hot guys everytime you turn your head. But that's not always good when it comes to relationships and trying to sell "product".

Then, the rates are all over the place. The tourists are willing to pay more, but most of the locals don't like to pay jack SHIT. There's also a lot more Puerto Ricans here since the hurricane, and even though my dream man used to be a Puerto Rican guy, when it comes to sex, they don't like to pay for diddly squat either...And it's discouraging knowing that there's an entire ethnicity of people here who, generally won't use my service. It's like an intermittent hell here. Some weeks business is okay, other days no matter what I do, nobody comes through.

I'm thinking about moving to a smaller western town where I can actually stand out, and keep a regular flow of clients. I just fantasize a western where I am like the town "provider", versus competing with dozens of guys of all backgrounds, where the clients are quick to drop you for the next piece of penis. This here is horrendous.

Irtwo reacted to Mocha in Can Washington D.C. remain a viable market, with the challenges presented?
Well, well, well. Maybe I spoke too soon. I admit, I lied. I'm probably not going to give up D.C. that easily. Things turned around within the last 24 hours, and have already pulled in close to a Grand, And that's with only 3 clients. That's what D.C. is SUPPOSED to be like. People don't generally balk at rates here, and unlike places like Florida which can genuinely be a bonafide headache, D.C. Simply has too much potential to write off.

However, I don't take back what I've said about Washington. Hotels can still fluctuate from available and reasonable, to exorbitantly expensive and scarce, without warning. And there has been an increase in flakes, which can also come without warning. I had a streak of flakes back in July 2016, and this trip was beginning to mimic it...but it pulled out okay. Even during that streak, I ended up having an overnight client on my last day.

Honestly, the only reason I've even been able to bounce back and make a profit, is because I got here earlier than my government-employed friend and stayed later. Plus the free nights. Had I did what he did: flown in on Saturday, flown out on Wednesday...I'd of likely been going home in a deficit. That's why I find it hard to understand how many guys can fly into a city for say; 3 or 4 days and make a profit. I have been in D.C. area for a week, and I didn't meet my first new client until 5 days into the trip.

It's all relative. I'm sure someone would disagree with my assessment of D.C., especially if they lived there. But often as a visiting escort, there's a limited time for a city to make an impression. And if there's back to back bullshit, the city is not going to perceived well. But since you asked, I can give a short list of places that...maybe I'm not "done" with (sometimes it's even necessary for me to regularly visit some of these areas), but would certainly proceed with my guard up...as it's likely I've lost money and sanity going there, on numerous times.

    Las Vegas: flakes/drunks/gamers
    Denver: barebackers/drugs/low pay
    Atlanta: rude/condescending
    Miami/Fort Lauderdale: flakes/drugs/suspects
    Los Angeles: gamers/flakes/rudes
    Palm Springs: flakes/bullshitters
    St. Louis/Kansas City: gamers/no one ever hosts/cancels
    Chicago: no shows/play games/expensive
    Nashville: expensive/annoying/usually dead
    Orlando: Superflakes/gamers/low pay/no pay
    Boston: aggressive clientele/heavy drug use
    Columbus/Indianapolis: random flakes/liars/gamers

*Disclaimer, despite the above...I've met great clients in all of the above cities. So if anyone asks me to say something good about them, there you have it. BUT-However, it doesn't change the "average" outcome of the above. I wouldn't be nieve and ignore those experiences.

As for the cities I can most times say good things about:

San Francisco: (though on the latest trip, it's become similar to the issues of D.C.)
Phoenix: (though it has the same tendencies of Los Angeles and Orlando)
Washington D.C. Business epicenter. Good when it wants to be though
The upper Midwest: lots of horny farm boys, but lower rates/occasional flakes
North Carolina: Good Business center, but tends to share tendancies of Kansas City
The mountain west: Little to no competition, but rates can be lower/clients sparse

The cameras are on from 8:30pm to 2:30am. So, there is really no time slot safe from the webcam. However, if you sit along the back wall directly underneath the camera, you will probably be safe. Just have the servers bring your drinks, and hide your face when coming out of the lapdance area until you get back to your seat.

But I think unless you sit right by the stage or the camboy takes a strong interest in you, no one will ever see you on camera.

Dylan has been discussed a lot in Muscle Service forums. If I recall, he's from Los Angeles and is real, but the negatives were generally that he had a party boy rep, and that he is very short and effeminate. I also remember the youtube video where he's dancing, which shows that he does look like his pics, which I think are very sexy. You can google his name, he also comes up on Model Mayhem.
