I am in Honolulu anyone have AussieHotHands contact info ?? There is not much here so looking for a recommendation for masseurs in Honolulu

Well his profile has expired….so perhaps he’s not taking new clients. Honolulu (which I visit frequently) has oft been discussed here as a “wasteland” of providers. Not easy to find someone!

Why don’t you just do what you want to do?  Why bother presenting your business model here? Are you trying to convince us to agree to it?

I think @Jarrod_Uncut sometimes feels he’s “educating” us. Unfortunately my feeling is that this forum represents a fairly sophisticated and experienced client base. Not sure a lot of minds are going to get educated/changed here. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyone with experience getting PrEP meds on Medicare free or cheap?  It has always been free for me on my group health insurance, as it is for many commercial insurance plans.  The meds are "covered" on Med D and Advantage plans (I think by law), but still entail hundreds a month in copays in every plan I've looked at.  All the copay refund programs etc. specifically exclude Medicare recipients.  So what's an old slut to do?

The cheapest I've found, bypassing insurance altogether, is Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs site, which offers generic Truvada for $16.10/month, $38.30/90 days.  That is of course quite affordable, but I wonder if any fellow horny old coots has a better solution.

I paid for it using Medicare for a couple years. Was hundreds of dollars a year with deductible, it was a “Tier 4” drug.  So with that level and gap coverage etc. was very expensive. Also note the Gilead deductible benefit goes away with Medicare, they don’t offer any help with “government” sponsored insurance plans.

So, for me it’s Amazon Pharmacy at $48 for 90 day supply. I just pay it out of pocket and don’t even turn in to Medicare.

I did a quick plot review on Wikipedia, I think the five young physicist cast members are all new characters, not in the book.

They touched on this in one of the “inside the episode” shorts that followed each episode. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that some of the characters are from the book, BUT they aren’t the “Oxford 5” tight group of friends that Netflix portrays spending time together.

I've been enjoying Three Body Problem.  I read some of the books a few years ago, I'm guessing by the fact that I don't remember the books very well that I didn't think they were great. And likewise, I can't really gauge how closely it's following the books.

I knew nothing of the books, but I was completely enthralled with Netlix’s “3 Body Problem”. Really like it! Bought the first book for my Kindle yesterday.

  6. Yes, I get notifications (audio or “badge”) very late. Or, I get an audio alert…and there are no active messages/taps. Weird stuff like that, also my messages page loads much more slowly than in the past.

The Millenium Hilton on the Chao Praya river is a fantastic hotel. I find the river to be one of the most interesting places in Bangkok. So much going on. Take a klong tour!

Thanks @Lucky I’ll check that one out. I was looking at a Hilton in Hanoi but it was a boring property, found a much nicer and pricier option!

Edit: changed to Millenium Hilton, river view room…thanks again @Lucky

  8. So I pulled the trigger on r/t tickets, into Chang Mai, Thailand and out of Saigon about 15 days later. Current thinking:

    • Chiang Mai
    • Bangkok (via overnight train)
    • Siem Reap (train)
    • Ho Chi Minh City (train)
    • Saigon (flight)
    • Home

I wish we could go longer, my companion has limited vacation days, and I’m self employed and already have a lot of fall travel, so 2 weeks it is.

Re: Bangkok, I want to use my Hilton points - there’s multiple locations but I’m looking at Conrad Hilton central downtown…any comments on that location/area?

I’ll use Hilton points in Hanoi as well. Other cities I’ll explore hotels online, and listen to any suggestions!
