Back when I would have regulars, I could sense when they just weren't in the mood, so those sessions kinda sucked in a bad way, but I'm also under the understanding I'm donating for a massage, so if I get more, it's merely a bonus, not an expectation.

I saw Oscar earlier this year in Columbus.  Massage was on a bed, and it was decent and at times good.  But for the most part, I felt like he was going through a checklist of what his massage routine was.  HE was included.  
As I drove away, I thought, "I might book another session on one of his future visits to town" rather than "I can't wait for him to visit again" but not "I won't ever book him again."  

I just met with Kai this past weekend.  As I was in NYC for less than 48 hours to attend a charity event, I had limited free time so I texted Kai a week in advance to check his availability.  With only three messages back and forth we were able to schedule a time that worked with us both.  
He arrived at the hotel at our agreed upon time.  He looks like his photos and our activities back in the room were just what I was looking for.  I would definitely like to spend time with him again!
