Why don't more US escorts use encrypted messaging apps?

looks like I was probably worrying about nothing, the provider got back to me and we're booked 😇 -
Providers sharing pet peeves.
+ Alabastrine replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
Pet peeves are fine, everyone has their boundaries and personal turn-offs- that's life. Boundaries are to be respected, and it goes both ways for the provider as well as the client: no one has to right to gaslighting or shame the other into lowering their boundaries even if they seem frivolous, offensive or silly. I'd imagine one would just move on to a different provider or client (whatever the case by be) to find a better match. I've been turned down by a few providers due to my gender (I am female, and up front about it) and that is completely OK! No hard feelings, NEXT! -
Why don't more US escorts use encrypted messaging apps?
+ Alabastrine replied to moonlight's topic in Questions About Hiring
I was having a nice little occasional exchange of texts with a provider I'm trying to schedule with, which I have been keeping polite and also attempting to keep "clean" (rather painfully)... until the conversation could move over to signal where I'd feel more comfortable discussing certain private items. Sadly it seems like that provider isn't very motivated to communicate with me over a secure app and things have gone silent. I wonder if it's just the busy holday weekend or I've been flagged as a time waster 🥲 -

Another item to note, while you can't have two numbers on Signal, you can install the beta version of the app and link that to a secondary number in the case you have a burner or if for some reason you don't want to use the Signal usernames. If memory serves they added a feature for the windows version of the app that prevents screen shots from being taken while a video call is running. -
I've also had rentmen censor mundane, ordinary words in the messages. Quite annoying as it implied that I used a swear word. Literally, I was just chatting with a provider "I hope dinner was great" and that swam through as "I hope dinner was *****"... Whatever they're using to censor messages needs some tweaking. But I'd assume they're looking to avoid some sort of legal liability on any sexually explicit conversations rather than censor for censorship's sake.

Only Fans owner "Trying" to SELL the site for $8 BILLION !
+ Alabastrine replied to topunderachiever's topic in The Lounge
All owners will eventually want to "cash out", especially if the revenue is growing rapidly- that's when you want to sell it, not once things start to go into decline. I would be far more worried about the new ownership, as it raises questions on how they're handling any metadata. Some owners are more privacy oriented, and others understand that selling viewer data to third parties can often be far more lucrative than the app revenue itself. -
I'm indifferent about feet as long as they are neat, and nicely kept. How well one keeps their feet speaks volumes on their personal hygiene. it's also nice to get a professional pedicure from time to time.

Yeah the easy on/off does narrow down the wardrobe choices On the gender transparency issues, I always let them know upfront and attempt to clarify whether or not they accept female clients before asking any further questions. So far it looks like it's 50-50; some do, some don't. Although one provider did get a touch sarcastic, it hasn't been a big deal. Thank you! we may go out but it would be a more casual venue - I hadn't thought of that so thank you for pointing out out, that does help me narrow down what to wear, I'm thinking I might still do some lingerie underneath. yes indeed!!!! that was the hygiene part I mentioned.. I'm well aware the jungle can be an unpleasant place and I have a rigorous daily bathing ritual; but even if you start the day clean "down there", it can go rank pretty quickly - sweat + snail trail + time = no beuno. I don't allow close encounters unless I'm fresh out of the shower, which I'll be requesting as the part of the opening festivities. On the attractiveness part, I understand that providers have a lot of interesting stories. I'm not bad, but not perfect so in the odd chance he does find me somewhat attractive I want to enhance what good features I do have.

Providers who take female clients (SFP, Bi or Straight providers) : are there any small details that female clients can do to make a difference that help you. I've hammered out my first date, and I can't stop overthinking it, but I'm excited so I suppose that's a positive I realize it's likely that my provider will not find me attractive and not care either way. But in case any of the below make a difference for providers? Good hygiene is a given, by the way, so that's a "no brainer", I'm just mentally fussing over other silly details. I plan on "going with the flow" but want to put my best foot forward since the business relationship goes both ways. Should I dress up or go casual? I actually like to dress up, but won't bother if this isn't something that helps the provider's mood. Should I be stylish or attempt to look sexy? Utilitarian panties/bras or hot lacy ones? Should I wear makeup or not? (I usually wear a little but I don't plaster my face on) Jewelry - do you like how it looks or does it just get in the way? Perfume? Yes or no? If "yes" are there any types providers tend to hate? If I do, I plan to "go light". High heels. Yay or nay? Any thoughts out there? Believe it or not I think it's kind of fun to think about these little things.

I'm having some trouble getting providers to communicate with me over Signal. I'm certainly not a flake or a time waster, but at the same time I understand because juggling multiple communication apps on a phone is a fucking pain in the ass. While I don't want to dox myself here, it suffices to say I have experience with privacy issues in the digital realm. I am also a privacy "enthusiast" of sorts since I'm well aware of what kind of data is collected day-in-day out. This makes my personal vigilance when it comes to keeping private conversations private much more heightened than others. Signal is the most secure app I've run across to take the place of phone texting (phone or computer), video or voice calls; you can create a username on there if preferred to guard your phone number. For email communication I use Proton mail (I pay for the full suite of features and find it's worth it for the peace of mind:, proton calendar, proton drive) and I use OnePass - although Proton just came out with a password manager as part of their suite so I'm in the process of moving the thousands of passwords over (not fun but worth getting everything unified under one app). I'm not sure why there aren't more people on board with guarding privacy, and it's not a lot of effort to use these apps so difficult of adoption isn't the issue. -
I gotta say, I am not a fan of selfies taken in bathrooms or gym locker rooms. Selfies tend to be low quality anyway, although, mobile phone cameras are just fine quality-wise; it helps (if you're not getting professional photos) to invest in tripod and remote camera button so you can take photos of oneself from a distance. I like seeing clothed and unclothed photos with more natural or candid photos of the person in different moods. I like to know what someone really looks like, not just when they're posing to show off the goods.

Improved Performance over time
+ Alabastrine replied to nrcssst hntr's topic in Questions About Hiring
Does it help to not get too "friendly" with them? Or maintain a colder air of business in communication (outside of the boudoir, but not while in the sheets, of course). -
I'm also in the middle of hammering out my first appointment for the hobby. I'm certainly being hit by the first time jitters...

When providers not truthful about size
+ Alabastrine replied to starman05's topic in Questions About Hiring
I’m a height queen, but I’m also on the tall side myself. I’m only attracted to men taller by 6inches or more. 6 feet is really the minimum for me, and while lying about one inch is a grey area, any more then that and I’d walk if there was deception about height. Any shorter than 6 feet just doesn’t physically work for me. -
Cigarettes or other? Just curious, not a dealbreaker for me if it's not too bad. I'm thinking of taking the plunge since he travels to my area, and he looks pretty hot.

This is a serious question. I was wondering if anyone had experience with bleaching of the skin around the privates to keep them pink. Asking for a friend, of course. I'd heard you can make your own bleaching cream with peroxide, cream of tartar and mixing it with some generic skin cream and then let it sit for a while. Not sure if this works, but if that's all it takes I can prepare that at home and save myself many hundreds of dollars.

Tips for cooking or grilling a steak.
+ Alabastrine replied to + Just Chuck's topic in What's Cooking
The reverse sear technique is the best I've found for any thicker-cut steak. You can finish them on either the grill or cast iron skillet. Start it in a low oven, then quickly sear it in a hot pan or on the grill for a beautiful... -
That's a really good option, I would have never thought of that. Thank you @nycman!

Weird experience as a provider I had today.
+ Alabastrine replied to Gilfson's topic in Questions About Hiring
sounds like there's lot of creepy experiences on both sides, both client and provider. @Gilfson your beastmuffin rentmen profile looks adorable. I hope you have better luck with clients soon. -
I noticed his profile, too, and was thinking of reaching out. I'm not bad looking, but not perfect either, but it sounds like I might not be the right kind of client for Freddie based on the feedback.
