Do bottoms enjoy tops who can keep going for hours?
+ ApexNomad replied to Constantine's topic in The Lounge
Are you a provider? 😂 😘 -
This season isn’t as strong as the previous two, and from what I’ve read here and elsewhere, that seems to be the general consensus. That said, I still applaud Mike White for taking creative risks, even when they don’t fully land. Writing is hard. Building out a world is hard. He’s not just writing these episodes—he’s directing and producing them as well. His aesthetic and voice are undeniable, and I’ll always be interested in his work because he has something to say. If all season 3 gives us is Sam Rockwell’s masterful monologue, I’ll take it.

Agreed! And when you do find them, these are the keepers. -

Speaking as a bottom, and based on your comment about what impresses you, my question isn’t so much whether a top can go for hours. Having my ass catch on fire doesn’t impress me. What impresses me most is exactly what I said—putting a partner’s needs above your own. Creating intimacy. Because the simple truth is, if a top is going for “hours,” there’s really no benefit to the bottom at that point. It becomes painful. It’s no longer about them; it’s about the top. -
I love this picture so much! Thank you posting this @Danny-Darko There’s something so profoundly intimate about the simplicity of this image. The hands, intertwined, tell a story without words — a connection that transcends the physical and speaks to a deeper, unspoken bond. The strength in the grip, the vulnerability in the touch, and the way their bodies are captured in that moment of closeness speak volumes about the beauty of human connection. It’s not just a physical act; it’s an expression of trust, desire, and/or love that feels timeless. We should all be grateful to find that connection whenever we can.

The sex scene you’re referencing is the one where Lochlan is jerking off Saxon, and the issue lies with the actions under the sheets. To make it believable, what would you have preferred? Removing the sheet? That brings us right back to the issue of showing an erect penis. I’m not a director, but perhaps they could have used a shot where the sheet is lowered to indicate full exposure without actually showing it. Would that have been more believable? Unless, of course, you were expecting penetrative sex, which could have been handled like Leo Woodall’s scene in Season 2. Regardless, for this storyline, I don’t need to see it. I’m not interested in watching two brothers in that kind of situation. I get it. Whatever creative choices Mike White makes to get his point across, I trust I’ll understand the narrative without needing the explicit details. Male-to-female sex scenes, like the one you described with Goggins and Wood, have always been and will continue to be handled differently than two men in the same situation. That’s been the reality since the dawn of time.

It’s HBO, not internet porn. Prolonged shots of an erect penis would trigger censorship issues. HBO isn’t governed by the same rules as network TV, but it’s still not an adult film studio. There’s a difference between being provocative and crossing into explicit territory that limits distribution.

I think a lot of that stems from how technology has changed the way we communicate. There was a time when phone calls were just a normal part of life—whether it was catching up with friends, making appointments, or even handling difficult conversations. But now, with texting and email, we’ve lost a lot of that personal interaction. Beyond that, electronics in general have taken something else away: storytelling. Families used to sit around the dinner table and talk about their day, share memories, and pass down stories. Now, everyone’s glued to their screens, even during meals. The art of conversation—really listening, responding in the moment, and connecting on a deeper level—has suffered. It’s not just about phone calls; it’s about how we communicate as a whole.

Based on a review I had read before the start of the season, shit was supposed to hit the fan with episode 6. Well, episode 6 came and went. Still waiting…

I’m more impressed by guys who care about their partner’s pleasure, put their needs ahead of their own, and actually enjoy intimacy beyond just getting off. Cuddles > endurance marathons any day. -

You’re lucky your ex didn’t bite your dick off—TMJ is no joke. -
How can you afford to hire service providers consistently?

Hedge fund managers? They probably own the building they’re jumping out of and land on a pile of cash. They’re fine. -
Pardon me, but do you know your pubes are showing?

Most jobs with true impact tend to be valued far less than they should be.

I’m sorry you feel that way. (My previous comment was a failed attempt at humor.)

I’m impressed that your 12-year-old cousin knew who Tom Selleck was—that was peak Tom Selleck. I remember a scene in Three Men and a Baby where he’s running around in gray sweatpants. I should’ve been focused on the whole drug plot or whatever was going on with the baby, but all I could look at was his crotch in those pants.

Do you feel like you’re being taken for granted?

I don’t know if I could work with you if you willingly showed me a creepy Bicentennial Man photo.

Still no word from the solar panel guy?

On the surface, this reads as a positive review, but when you break it down, there’s something unsettling about it. You clearly said you wanted to stop, which is a boundary. Instead of fully respecting that without hesitation, the provider made a comment about your body that, while flattering, also put some pressure on you to continue. What stands out to me is that you ultimately went along with it and enjoyed the experience, which I’m glad for! But that doesn’t change the fact that your initial stop wasn’t fully honored before the provider pushed forward with their own desire. Even if it turned out fine for you, it sets a precedent that might not be okay for someone else who wasn’t as easily reassured.

I’m just going by what you wrote and wanted to clarify to better understand your viewpoint. Personally, I love when my top cums—there’s nothing more satisfying for me, especially as a bottom. But I also know that doesn’t always happen, for a variety of reasons. How that’s communicated by the provider is really important. As someone who mostly books in the evening or at night, I know a top cumming is never a guarantee—being the last client doesn’t mean it will happen either. Nothing is! A good session should be about chemistry, connection, and how you feel in the moment. I’ve had a top apologize for not being able to finish, but he checked in on me every step of the way—attentive, caring, and giving me everything else I needed. He made sure I came, was rock hard the entire time, and even asked if I was up for round two. My ass couldn’t take another round, but man the effort was definitely there! That’s not always the case, but for me, that kind of connection makes all the difference.
