I would say that there are some situations in which deposits would be a good part of the deal. This includes this situation, where JimmyS seemed to be booking time in advance with someone who was flying in to see them. Maybe JimmyS didn’t sponsor that flight- and that might makes the deposit less necessary. But for us clients who enjoy bringing highly reputed escorts in from other states, deposits can be important. Maybe when hiring a local provider for an hour or 2,, one should indeed not do a deposit. But even locally, distance to get to me can often be a concern, and honest providers don’t want their time and gas money wasted.
