Agreed. At the least, I don’t think any of them ought to be publically shamed lol 😂

I need to learn to be this classy when responding to an unreasonable person 👏 👏

All agreeable points! Personally, I mostly hire locally and rarely have a need to do deposits. I limit my searches on rentmen to those with: 1. At least 11 reviews. 2. Ratings of 4.7 or above. 3. Ability to do a facetime chat 4. Recent pics (excellent if verified) For flyouts, I actually only have 4 guys who I keep in rotation lol. (But I hire them quite often). I rave about them occasionally here. But I made sure to get *direct* feedback from clients who hired them. Stellar reviews on RM as well as on here (company of men) are mandatory as well, and I have to get a trustworthy “feel” from the FaceTime. This case with JamesHeart seems like a sad anomaly among individuals with good reviews. Maybe I will get flaked on one day indeed. I guess it’s the game we play. But I’m glad there is a mechanism (such as this site) for retribution against such behavior.

I don’t want to spark another discussion on deposits here lol. But this JamesHeart person definitely ought to know that until he returns it his reputation will be soiled. I suspect his account spontaneously deactivated because he received an initial ….. message about it 😉

I would say that there are some situations in which deposits would be a good part of the deal. This includes this situation, where JimmyS seemed to be booking time in advance with someone who was flying in to see them. Maybe JimmyS didn’t sponsor that flight- and that might makes the deposit less necessary. But for us clients who enjoy bringing highly reputed escorts in from other states, deposits can be important. Maybe when hiring a local provider for an hour or 2,, one should indeed not do a deposit. But even locally, distance to get to me can often be a concern, and honest providers don’t want their time and gas money wasted. I at least Uber them to me, as an investment that signals my interest in meeting them (and also allows me to track their journey to me). I also am pro deposit when hiring for overnights, even locally. - as these bookings often happen in advance, and providers often clear their schedules for these. It’s never great to flake last minute on someone who declined other lucrative opportunities for you- it’s money lost to them as well. And they may have even altered their diet for such an overnight appointment. To be sure, there are bad actors out there, and for most situations where I hire, I don’t do deposits. But there are cases where I believe they are helpful.

I wouldn’t say you’re naive for making a deposit for a 5-star rated , seemingly highly experienced escort. I’m shocked this happened too! I regularly make deposits (and even fly guys out to NYC) as long as they have stellar reviews, and I’ve spoken to someone who has booked them for something expensive. Have never had any issues for the past 3 years with this method. James definitely needs to know that there are reputational consequences.

For more certainty, can you screenshot the RM block image and put it here? This adds confidence to your allegations without divulging anything too sensitive. Not that I don't believe you, it just helps as evidence suggesting that he is a deceptive person.

I gave him a try, as I love his type in particular. Excellent service for that 1 hour lol. Great, versatile guy. I could have asked for more hours, but I wouldn’t be respecting myself if I actually paid his rate for 2 hours lol 😂. He’s texting somewhat frequently. With his youth, his newness to escorting, and the corresponding insane price, I have a hunch he doesn’t get many clients calling back lol. TLDR; he was a great fuck, but that’s my opinion. Maybe you shouldn’t risk paying $700 and not getting an experience you don’t want lol.

Should note he’s based in LA, though traveling right now.

KingMarcellus is amazing , top or bottom. However, he is not for the cheap hehe! His extreme asking price seems to serve to screen out those who aren’t top of the line, high end clienrs , and force all others to subscribe to his onlyfans (which has hidden fees lol). But hey, I had a fun hour for $700 😂 KingMarcelluss - Male Escort, Gay massage - Houston | Rent.Men RENT.MEN KingMarcelluss Gay Escort in Houston, Texas, available for Gay Escorting,Modeling,Erotic Massage. | Find...

I agree- I believe phrase 1 is better than phrase 2, and was trying to emphasize the difference between the two. You might find some providers reply to your initial outreach with a rate included , just to make sure the conversation is worth continuing (if you can’t pay it, no reason to continue). Good on you for establishing their availability and proximity first.

Honestly, some escorts are dangerous individuals. Not all, but some. I would let him know that you would soon out him on this site- a very influential website, and word would get around quickly that he is a fraudulent provider. Sending his address could be seen as too great a provocation- and he might react in a way you may not expect.
-
Now, I definitely do understand that there may be a difference between 1. “Hello! Hope you’re well! You’re so hot!. I’m in NYC, are you available tonight? What are your rates?” 2. “How much”.
-
I disagree with this. Starting off with a rate inquiry , regardless of your wealth as a client, is a great way to signal your interest in meeting and actually paying. escorts get a ton of unserious people , who go on and on and on with the pleasantries and the “you’re so beautiful” and etc. I used to do this- say hello, then say how are you, then say, what are you up to, and compliment endlessly. I was then told it can be a sign of a scammer/unserious client. Starting with a rate inquiry, location, and time availability is on average, a wise thing to do in my opinion. Perhaps not for all escorts, but I believe it works for a lot.

Definitely don’t send deposits until you ascertain the details of the encounter.
-
If you don’t get your deposit back after he has seen your messages, or just after 2 more days, flag him on here for sure - (with updates about the deposit- if he refunds you, then make it clear in the flag thread). I would find it malicious if he didn’t pay it back.
-
Tried him out months ago and he definitely hits the spot with that tool of his. Absolutely worth your time and compensation.

Is it normal to have to Uber providers if client hosts?
Cretus replied to HotelFun's topic in Questions About Hiring
This right here. The Uber assures providers (who often get people who waste their time) that the client is really planning to meet. it also allows client some assurance that the provider is on their way (one can track the Uber ride while it is occurring). Its a good alternative to a deposit in my opinion, especially when the provider is far away from me and skeptical about making a 2 mile + journey. -
Lol no one is raving about kaijohansson 😂. Idc what you guys say, he’s got one of the juiciest asses in nyc https://rent.men/KaiJohansson

I was gonna suggest scottvershung, but his profile has suddenly disappeared. He’s an excellent provider in NYC, though he’s not for the cheap! Hungarian and Mexican heritage, though his accent to me was a bit Americanized.

CakesKing’s profile is back. From what I see, his profile expires on and off again.
