OneTaoBoy got a reaction from Penn7 in 411 on BrunoMathias
OK, this doesn't count as recent, I guess. I saw him in November in St. Louis. He is sweet, handsome face with great structure, intoxicating and wild e Body close enough to pix by my reckoning.
He is Venezuelan, had completed nursing school and was waiting to pass the exam to practice nursing. He was not really engaged. I am chubby and older, which of course may have been an ick factor for him. We chatted easily, he barely touched my lips, didn't touch my dick, thought I was too tight for anal [in an about 1.35 second assessment].
Maybe if he's having a good day and finds a client attractive, he cuts loose with passion. I saw cool and muted.

OneTaoBoy reacted to + JamesB in Deportation Nation---How does this affect the hobby?
In my opinion, it will make little to no difference. Those who are deported are often quickly replaced by new migrants eager to take their place. Changes in immigration policies, no matter how strict, are unlikely to significantly impact the number of individuals willing to risk migrating illegally to the US.
The core driver of this migration isn't the policies in place but the economic and social conditions in the migrants' home countries. Poverty, unemployment, political instability, and violence create environments where individuals feel they have little choice but to seek better opportunities elsewhere, even at great personal risk. As long as these underlying issues remain unresolved, migration pressures will persist. Furthermore, many migrants view the risks of deportation or other consequences as part of the journey rather than a deterrent. For them, the potential benefits of life in the U.S. far outweigh the dangers of the journey and the uncertainties of immigration enforcement.

OneTaoBoy reacted to mike carey in I Guess I'm Not Gay After All...
Welcome back @Gar1eth! On this one I think you're overthinking this and possibly applying an unfortunate stereotype about what gay men are 'permitted' and 'not permitted' to be and do. In reality there are gay men who wouldn't be seen dead using any 'product' and other who wouldn't be seen dead without it. There's a yin for every yang.

I send a very direct message of exactly what I'm looking for.
I send early on during the day.

Text providers who are marked "Available Now" on RentMen. When you send the initial text, wait 15 minutes, then text another guy marked available.
When an escort is marked "Available Now" and they miss a text, it's on them. Just start sending the texts out as early as possible, and I'm sure you'll find someone.

A question as old as time itself... Yes, there are providers who are slow to respond or who never do. Whether it's because they're busy with other clients, or have other outside obligations, or just are not wanting to chase inquiries that day, you just don't know why they might be not answering quickly. Also, just because you text doesn't mean they can respond quickly. People complain about providers who won't put their phones down, yet expect they will answer texts within minutes.
Here's a question though, how are you approaching these guys? Are you starting by sending a message that's just asking questions or are you making it clear you are looking for an appointment that day? Starting out with a reasonably detailed message that makes it clear you're serious is more likely to get a response than a generic "Hi, I like your ad" type message.
Also, if you're waiting until late in the afternoon, a lot of providers may already be getting regulars booking for appointments during the after work commute, or taking time for gym time or other personal needs.
If your work schedule doesn't allow planning even a day in advance, then you probably need to find a regular provider (or two) who advertises that they are ok with same day appointments. Once you're established as a repeat and reliable client they'll have you in their contacts and be more likely to prioritize responding to you when you're looking.

I suggest you give Seeking a try. It's a real mix of delusional kids who think some billionaire is going to adopt them and sex workers who are either on RM or who do it as a side gig and don't want to spend the money for RM membership, but there are also guys (some relatively educated and sophisticated) who are just looking for a taste of a nicer lifestyle. One of those might respond positively to an offer of being your companion on a week's trip to Las Vegas or wherever. All their expenses would be covered, of course, but the money you pay them and the amount of sex is open to discussion. They come with a different set of expectations than the professionals on RM, so my guess is the cost will be a lot less and so will the sex, but it sounds like that's fine with you.
The fact that the trip is coming up means you can get on Seeking for only a month or two, reach out to anyone who seems suitable and to your taste and see if you find someone. If not, you're no worse off other the cost of the membership.
Good luck to you.

I do that kind of session for a few guys. They’re not interested in sex as such although it sometimes happens but it isn’t the purpose of the session.
The purpose is companionship, for a short time such as a few hours (I don’t do overnight or days). Has been to meals, a walk, accompany to a sauna (some guys are scared to go alone), a theatre trip. You need to check the person is compatible, even more so than in a sex focused session.

OneTaoBoy reacted to maninsoma in Ad subtext... or is there any?
Not a provider, but even if a provider tells you here that certain phrases mean certain things that's only true for that provider (assuming he's 100% honest).
As discussed many times here, there is no standardization. One guy very well might be suggesting a highly erotic experience by using certain words, and another might be hoping to entice clients to pay him a higher-than-average massage rate because he's expecting something more than that but in the end the guy only provides a basic massage.
If you want to know what a specific provider's ad means, you have to contact him to ask or, perhaps even better, get feedback from actual clients here. Even then, there is always the "your mileage may vary" situation. One guy in my area obviously vibed with some of his clients more strongly than me because they posted here about post-session showers together with the guy, and the few times I hired him he just brought me a towel to clean up. But he didn't misrepresent himself; he just gave more to some clients than others.

But it's very, very common for some people to tell other people that their fetishes are completely all wrong, if not completely uncommon.

Hi. Completely agree it's on a par with THE GREAT, sharing the darkness, snark, self-assertion/creation of our days.
It's well worth watching. Though, not unlike the other show, it sorta peters out....so to speak.

Sorry.
Screen names were so similar I failed to notice..
Fixed the mis-direct on the response.
I also don't think the provider was described as "lecturing" the client. As I stated, if a grown-up doesn't like the direction of a conversation then he changes the subject. The client's behavior was childish in my opinion. No need to make such a fuss.

OneTaoBoy reacted to pubic_assistance in too forward escorts
Although I agree, a massage session isn't necessarily an ideal place for a conversation about religion with a stranger, I still think the behavior was more of a problem than the provider's misplaced conversation.
There were FAR more tactful ways to handle the situation and the fact he was so triggered by the event they felt the need to slam him with a bad review speaks more to his issues than the provider's.
Lots of people are religious. I'm not. But I have no problem with other people being religious and/or discussing their faith. I often find it strange how so many gay men spend the month of June talking about Gay pride and "tolerance" but can't seem to muster any tolerance for others.

There is a time and a place for everything.
When someone is paying $300 - $400 per hour for sex with an excort, religion is out of line if brought up by the person charging the money.
Discussing religion in a general conversation when a meter is not running is okay, in my opinion.

When hiring a masseur who you think may be available for extras. Hire for an erotic massage and let them do their thing. Tip well and then inquire about extras on the NEXT visit.
Masseurs appreciate a regular customer and are more inclined to take it up a notch for a gentleman who is a good tipper and a nice person.

Your question attacks the integrity of not only the providers who submit invaluable insights here, but also of the entire forum itself.
It's kind of mind blowing that you can light a fuse and then so 'oh I was just asking a question'. Be honest.

You’re being disingenuous at best, and calculating at worst. You’re obviously not a stranger to message boards based on your posting style, so I’m hard pressed to think you didn’t have an inkling of how a post like this would be received. Also, I don’t think you’ve ever stated what the point of knowing/not knowing that some conspiracy of collaboration exists. You’re letting other members fill in their own blanks while you watch the feeding frenzy. I’m inclined to believe that this leans toward calculating.

OneTaoBoy reacted to + KensingtonHomo in Inside Connection with Providers Here
Your question was provocative. You asked if there was untoward collaboration between providers and the operators of this site. Now you're engaged in "cry bullying", where a simple direct response by a long-time and well-regarded provider is your proof that something untoward is afoot.
Personally, I do not find your questions or responses to be in good faith.

I'm definitely willing to admit being wrong about someone and their objectives.
I don't have any opinion on whether this poster has been here before or not. It wasn't really what I was concerned about.
I'll take your advice and just sit back on this one.

I think the truth is in the middle. No, you didn't bully FaustOust, but I think you may be off base in your criticism. He's only been a member of the site since May 22, so it's entirely possible that his original post was not knowingly pot-stirring but genuinely naive. Unless you have good reason to believe that FaustOust has actually been around a lot longer under a different name (which I know has happened with some forum members), I think that taking his questions at face value is the right thing to do.

OneTaoBoy reacted to MaybeMaybeNot in Provider Boundaries
I have liked and cared about people in prior jobs. I still think about clients I talked to on the phone for 9 years and never saw in person, hoping they are well. But caring and looking someone is not the same as loving them in a way you are hoping for. He sounds like a super guy, a great escort, but try not to confuse that.
-
OneTaoBoy reacted to + JamesB in Provider Boundaries
My advice to you is to move on, and that won’t be possible if you keep in contact with this provider. Avoid seeing or communicating with him. You don’t need to be rude, but let him know that you need time for yourself and won’t be in touch for a while. Then block him completely for at least six months to give yourself enough time to heal. A therapist or counselor can provide guidance and strategies for coping with your emotions. Focus on yourself, reconnect with activities you enjoy or try something new. Join clubs, take classes, or volunteer to meet new people and expand your social circle. Concentrate on personal and professional goals to give yourself a sense of direction and purpose. Healing takes time, so be patient with yourself during this process. Focus on the present and the future rather than dwelling on what could have been. Remember, moving on is a gradual process, but with time and self-care, you will come out stronger and more resilient.

OneTaoBoy reacted to moonlight in Anybody else fall for the men they hire?
I wouldn't agree with that perspective, and I think that mindset will make you susceptible to this happening again in the future.
I would rephrase as: A lot of providers don't want to be honest because they are businessmen. Making you feel the way you feel is what they do to earn income, and is a skill.
You can't assume much about someone's personality or intentions based on their occupation only. You can't assume someone is "caring" because of what they do. All you can assume is they do what they do for money. What's the difference between a legitimately caring person and a charming sociopath? Most people probably can't tell the difference at first, if at all, and especially not when money is changing hands. That's why it's important to be clear with yourself what your boundaries are and stick to them.
I don't deny that there are legitimately caring providers out there; there certainly are. But if you think you have a special ability to fully know their motivations and intentions, you are deluding yourself and setting yourself up for that to happen again.
