  1. I have knee problems and doctors have advised me to stay lower in the normal BMI range--like 21 or 22. I also want to avoid climbing out of the normal range altogether. My endo is concerned about this too, which is why we're looking for a way to stop the trend. She wants to try Metformin first because it's very safe. This is all gard for me as my BMI has been 18.5-20 for most of my life. I am trying other solutions first. Over the pasr few months, I've tried to incorporate more protein for better satiation. Now I'm trying fiber too. Also, this is the first time you're hearing about people with a BMI under 25 taking Ozempic? It's been all over the media. For me, the motility issues, thyroid cancer risk in rats, and widespread telogen effluvium (which, anecdotally, appears to be more prevalent than in bariatric surgery patients) are dealbreakers for now.
  2. I think it's the opposite. Even putting the moral element aside, few normal gay men wanted to deal with minors. Teenagers were more likely to turn violent. And the parents could easily find out. There's a book published in 1970 called Tearoom Trade that covers this extensively. Most gay men stayed away from "chicken." The few men who were into kids were deeply closeted, even for the time, and in denial.
  3. It seems to be a warning to avoid child molestors. Of course, it's homophobic because most gay men were thought to be pedophiles back then. The same guy made a similar film aimed at both boys and girls. Be forewarned: It includes graphic crime scene photos and reenacts the events that led to the crime.
  4. My endocrinologist told me there's no downside to trying Metformin for appetite control, so I'm going to give it a try. I had been thin all my life and am still in the normal BMI range, but I'm going in the wrong direction. Latest A1C is 4.9 (keeps decreasing?), fasting insulin is 6.4 but WTH. If the side effects kill me, we'll try something else. The endo said she would prescribe Ozempic if needed, but the risk seems greater than the benefit for non-diabetic people with a normal BMI. My peers, including some thinner than I am, are all on it though,
  5. Was the rough trade in porn trend driven by Stonewall? If making gay porn was effectively decriminalized after that, maybe more straight men were willing to try it.
  6. The fancy places charge big money for pedicures. Unfortunately, the polish is not the expensive part.
  7. This image is kind of funny. 6'2" mean looking jacked guy stands on street corner, crushed Coors can in hand wearing a t-shirt that says "If you want my guns, come and get them" Studchaser: Awww, darling, you look rough. Need someone to protect you?
  8. The biting thing sounds dicey. It's probably a good thing he hasn't come back. For DIY pedicures, try using a 40% urea foot cream for a few days and a cheese grater foot file. Your feet will be like new.
  9. @Rod Hagen, Have you had any imaging done? It might be worthwhile if PT/home exercises aren't working. Tennis elbow can be a symptom of degenerative disc disease on the c-spine.
  10. Looks like this protest was astroturfed. From the article: “John Saxon, a math book publisher and retired Oklahoma math teacher, and about 20 others carried signs reading "The Button's Nothin' Til the Brain's Trained" and "Beware: Premature Calculator Usage May Be Harmful to Your Child's Education."”
  11. I love that they put on a jacket and tie for this protest.
  12. I turn my outdoor lights on at dusk and turn them off at midnight. My neighbors know the system, and if the light doesn’t get turned on, they’ll party.
  13. I’ll bet he’s known as “the virgin guy” on 3 different sex worker group chats.
  14. CIA and FBI especially. And there’s always Navy Seals Team 6.
  15. I came across this. What other untruths do people tell providers?
  16. Brilliance Nerdy extroverts Guys who stand up for themselves, and when needed, for me Glasses
  17. Happy birthday to one of the kindest posters on this board!
  18. I didn't make up the title of the thread. 😉
  19. Most women are drivers. So you have lots of options if you want to fuck women drivers.
  20. I eat only flaky white fish, especially cod, sole, and Chilean sea bass. Trout tastes too fishy, even for me. 😉
  21. Yes, but not the intimate areas you’re talking about. The nurse used topical lidocaine, and the PS who owned the clinic prescribed something (Tylenol 3?) that took the edge off the pain. This was a long time ago though.
  22. I saw my internist, who seemed a little alarmed at the remaining swelling and numbness. There is likely some “nerve involvement.” He warned me to rest the knee and referred me to sports medicine/ortho for follow up care. The sports medicine doctor will see me next week. (Doctor Internist, if you’re reading this, you’re the best!)
  23. I agree with you; Geffen may well have had paid sex with many porn actors, as Jarec Wentworth claimed. He gains nothing from calling attention to this possibility. Why did you choose Epstein as an example though? That guy was very careful to pick girls who would not be believed if they went to the authorities. He even had multiple fake passports ready to go.
