I've never been to a circuit party, so I'm not familiar with what that looks like. I do agree with boy-next-door. As for "straight," it is interesting that early on they had him being spooned in bed by his gay roommate. It's pretty obvious the writers are trying to reach a gay audience, and I'm happy to be along for that ride. I tried to do a screen-shot from his first shirt removal scene, but Netflix has a block on taking screen-shots now. (Anyone know how to bypass that?) I wasn't hoping or looking for bulk, just a bit more definition in his chest, stomach and upper arms. Boy-next-door doing CIA fight scenes with trained assassins is not very convincing. I did enjoy the nude scene that Celebguy posted (that photo did not come up in my search). For a brief second, they almost flashed his junk. On to Season 2.

Nor would I, but what a great opportunity missed for a young, new actor supposedly playing a "boy toy" in a popular CIA spy series. Seems like a peculiar casting decision. I wish I knew more.
-
I just started watching Season 1. The series has decent word of mouth. It's an interesting premise, a 24-year-old lawyer (with 2 roommates) who lands a job at the CIA. They cast Noah Centineo as Owen Hendricks, the male lead. He's supposed to be this young heartthrob at the office and on the job, but when the character first undressed, I was surprised how his body was not quite ready for prime time. Noah seems to have acting talent and lots of charm. Sometimes, he actually looks handsome. One would think, in preparation for the role, he would hire a trainer to get his body in tip-top physical shape. Maybe he did, and this is all they could get: Maybe it improves in Season 2?

One photo ads should be an automatic red flag for everyone. It's so easy to fake an ad with one photo. There are lots of reasons why a provider might want to be discreet, but there are plenty of ways to be discreet and still present honest photos, if you're not lazy, if you care about the business.

Nice face and a nice cock. I remember when plane travel was fun.

What makes a great ad for you to want to hire ?
d.anders replied to Ali Gator's topic in Questions About Hiring
#1: Price. I wish it wasn't so, but here I am. #2: Face. I have to be attracted to the guy who will work on me. #3: Cock. No surprises, please, especially on the uncut. (No obligation to show it to me, but welcome when it happens.) #4: Ass. Love fantasizing about a hot guy granting access to the butt. It doesn't have to go there, but the fantasy is fun. -
I agree. It's just too bad that most of the links no longer work. It really is an endless rabbit hole, often disappointing.

Boy do I regret searching "unmasculine gay men." Carson is now everywhere on my computer. Ughh.

When to tell a provider I’m a virgin?
d.anders replied to Wings246's topic in Questions About Hiring
Even if the thread is fake, it's fun and funny. The Catholic Church would love you. Look at the good abstaining has done for them. I don't know the age of the OP, but it may be really too late for all that life. Good advice. I see lots of ads that say, "Great with inexperienced," or something like that. There will be a lot of guys who won't want to touch you. They won't respond to your inquiry. There may be just as many up for the challenge. No, one hour is not enough! Paid "dates" could be a ton of fun. When you meet the right guy, pay him to guide you through the process, and take it slow and easy. Don't worry about the cost. If you find the right guy, the cost will be worth the experience. Prepare to pay. Just don't fall in love with a provider. At 14, I knew what I wanted and why, and I hadn't seen much porn, certainly not gay porn. My high school gym locker room and showers were enough angst for me. Can't imagine the pain and loneliness of the closet. Can't imagine the pain of going through life without having experienced the joy of exploring sex. Yes, sex can make a horny man crazy, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Some of the best sex I ever had was crazy sex. Bring it on. -
It's too bad we have to worry about the shady characters in life. They exist in many businesses. However, when it comes to business sex, the feelings can rise and be quite emotional and scary. This was a difficult thread to follow, but it reminded me of a time when I left myself vulnerable, allowing company with a very sexy addict (the most gorgeous cock and balls) who always needed more money. Our "friendliness" grew to the point where I let him sleep on my couch on a few occasions. He never abused me in any way, and I never gave him more than $20 at a time, but when I looked back on my youthful carelessness, I wondered how I could let myself get that vulnerable. That's the power of sexy genitals on a good-looking guy. Today, I do everything possible to guard my life against unsavory or disturbed characters. No time (or energy) for drama. I've been out since my teenage years, so it's not easy to relate to closeted behavior. It seems to me, nothing much good comes from deep-rooted lies. I've been in domestic situations that required going to the police and finding a lawyer. This term "serious extortion" is laughable. Cops and lawyers are mostly interested in big-ticket items. Unless you know someone personally, cops and lawyers are going to laugh at this situation, making you feel much more foolish and stupid. I would argue that visiting a psych therapist would be more beneficial. Now that I just finished Season 2 of the ridiculous Reacher, I'd like to go through life with the body, the strength, and the talent to slay all the dragons on my own. It's so much easier that way, when all the bad guys fear YOU.

What is the appropriate response to providers who can't stay
d.anders replied to carnalvore's topic in Questions About Hiring
Hell, sometimes I needed porn to get me through a one night stand, and the guy was often good looking. I guess when you're paying, it's a bad look. I think the advice about doing smart research is good advice. When you're paying, it's never good to deal with a non-professional, no matter what the service is. -
Not fair. I did hate the camera angle but I actually thought he sounded hot and playful. Not easy to do. At least he didn't sound like this:
-
Most incomprehensible thread I've ever experienced. Here or anywhere. The gabby and loud customers (in a NYC apartment building) are the most obnoxious and irritating. The walls are so thin in so many buildings, neighbors can hear almost everything. Folks in the service business often have to be very careful, because doing business in a residential apartment can be problematic.

Hiring a provider when they are sick with a cold or flu
d.anders replied to ICTJOCK's topic in Questions About Hiring
I do not want to be near someone who is under the weather. I don't respect people's self-diagnosis. Most sick people insist they are not infectious. I never believe them. If you attempt to dupe me in any way, it will hurt our relationship. I have private health issues that need to be protected. They are not obvious, but I'm fully aware, and it's my job to do the protecting. I particularly need to protect my lungs, and avoid bronchial infections at all cost. NYC is a cesspool of germs. Far too many people do not cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze. Children can be a serious hazard, along with grocery cart handles. I see people on the buses and subway, all the time, who hold onto public metal with bare hands, and then pick their nose, wipe their eye, or touch their face. I can't afford to be around folks like that. When it comes to health or money, I will always choose health. I have always hated work when I am under the weather. -
I have heard so many great things about this film. I think Denis Villeneuve is a serious talent. However, I have tried to watch this movie three times, and I keep falling asleep within the first 30 minutes. The first attempt I didn't last past 10 minutes. I find it very frustrating that the story does not grab me. It all seems so fake and plodding to me. I never got past the first episode of Game of Thrones, either. Maybe fantastical fiction is not my thing.

This was a challenging one to sit through. Bradley Cooper sounded like he had a cold, and after a bit that began to annoy me. Outside of West Side Story, I've never much liked Bernstein's music. Carey Mulligan was terrific. I thought Cooper really looked the part, and his conducting appeared very real. I'm sure a lot of work went into making this film.
-
I did not enjoy this film. I did not understand the hype or praise. I never believed for a minute that she was guilty of murder. I also didn't believe a case should have been brought against her. I thought is was all phony and ridiculous.
-
I have heard this comment from a lot of people, especially people who aren't keen on musicals. I never saw the show on Broadway, but I'm thinking about catching this.
-
I don't know anyone who loved it, but I intend to see it.
-
It's gotten great press. It's on my list to see.

Anybody else fall for the men they hire?
d.anders replied to + Rgsnva's topic in Questions About Hiring
Or love. But none of that stops the guys who live for drama. No matter what you say, you can't talk them off the cliff. I have an older gay sibling who lives for drama. Falls in love with every cute guy he encounters. He's overweight, depressed, and feels lonely. He loves to gossip and create drama. He's unhappy and bored with his life, so he uses drama to create excitement. It's dysfunctional behavior steeped in deeper, more complex issues. The worst part is he sees a therapist. I have no idea what goes on in those sessions, but there's never been any evidence that they help. Most people in service are actors. The best customer service is great acting at the highest level. The act of caring performed by an actor is an illusion. Acting talent has the power to seduce. It's not a bad talent. I think it can be quite useful, and profitable. The challenge is on the customer not to be duped. You must know your place in any transaction. Some men are weak and fall prey. -
I saw the movie for a second time. It's not as funny/shocking the second time, but I still laughed and enjoyed the crazy ride. The pacing and the performances are seriously close to pitch perfect. I had not realized that Toros and Garnick were at Vanya's New Year's Eve party, where they would have seen or encountered Ali. I also didn't realize how many hats Sean Baker wore. Not only did he write and direct, he's co-producer, casting agent, and he's the movie's editor. The movie is cast to perfection, and the editing is sharp as a tack. It's a very impressive film that is going to make a ton of money. Sean Baker is a major talent. The music in the movie is amazing also.

A good idea? No. But sometimes you have to learn lessons the hard way. Exactly. If you keep the fantasy short and simple, there's a ton of fun to be had. Some guys live for drama, but mixing money with relationships can get tricky quickly. Mixing money with friendships can get treacherous. It took a few mistakes in my youth to learn the damaging traps to avoid. As an old romantic, I still struggle. I'm in love with my Queens butcher, where I go for specialty meat items. He's a Latin/Italian mix, and I think he's so hot. I swear he flirts with me all the time, gifting me with occasional free meat. He's married with kids, but I melt when he smiles. I would love to offer paid service to him, but I would die if the offer ruined our relationship. Many things aren't worth death, especially the best, however small, relationships. I'm in love with my Asian dry cleaner's son. I've known him since he was thirteen, and now that he's in college, he's hot as hell. He is so sweet and kind to me, it is incredibly easy to assume he's available for other things. He knows I'm a good, loyal, and respectful customer. But what might happen if I tampered with that trust? If I made a play and failed, not only would I lose his trust, I would lose his family. There are many scenarios where the fantasy kills if you make the wrong move, even in relationships where sex is the commodity. My heart is too sensitive to ever be that reckless again. Now, I'm only interested in the fun, fun, fun. No drama. -
I thought the movie was a fun roller-coaster ride. Thought the performances were amazing. I found Mark Eydelshteyn oddly attractive, with a very sexy twink ass. Wish he would have done full frontal. His nude flip was impressive. I can see why this film is getting much critical praise and attention. I thought the ending was very touching, and totally unexpected. Mikey Madison's career will probably soar.

In earlier years, I had thoughts about giving others massage. Friends used to tell me I had a nice touch. If I had a larger apartment, I would have invested in a good table, not only for myself but for others. Maybe then I would have taken the thought more seriously. I don't know where you live, but NYC has MMX. Not only can you learn more from a place like that, you can meet and work with other like-minded men, and possibly find the needle in the haystack you're looking for. Maybe there is something similar in your area, or you can plan a learning visit here and explore further. If I had the energy, I would jump.
