Mark_fl got a reaction from Earthling in Do you ever contact RM reviewers for more info on reviews?
The review situation on RM is less than worthless. Anyone who contacts a provider through the site and sees them should be able to post a permanent review. And the provider should be allowed to respond. If a reviewer turns out to be illegitimate,  block them from reviewing.
That's it. And there should not be shade throws for a less-than 5 star review. Every provider isn't for everyone. Because all they seem to allow are 5 star reviews by paying members, they all mean zippo. And you can't even read the details. Idiotic.
Probably providers reviewing their friends or themselves through other IDs. Better off eliminating the rating system completely then leaving it as it now stands.

A lot has to do with the elimination of shame in society. With the acceptance of single parenting as a choice,  we have a second generation of kids whose parent(s) didn't have a parent at home because they had to work, and often had no father figure to speak of.
Combine that with schools that can't discipline kids and get rewarded for graduating kids who can't even read, and it's no mystery why this generation is largely not capable of being functional adults. Its by no means just their fault, but it doesn't change the fact that some day they will have to face a reality check.

Would be nice to beleive that, but sadly not so. It may not be the fault of the kids today, sure. But the internet has made them grow up faster than their brains can handle it. Also the lack of company loyalty witnessed by their parents generation has killed any work ethic most may have had. Add to that the epidemic of single parents and elimination of shame in anything (living off the government, stealing, sense of entitlement), and it's a pretty bad situation.

Sure, but you have to start with a full time job and maybe a roommate. I've seen video after video of 20 somethings whining about how horrible it is to be expected to work 40 hours a week and how it kills their free time.  And that is what you think is ready for life?

I grew up at a time when most moms stayed at home with their children. It was also a time when I had two sets of slacks and shirts to go to school. That was the tradeoff for having mom at home, we accepted fewer material comforts. I actually feel sorry for these young folks growing up today, they may have creature comforts in abundance but not what they really need two devoted, nurturing parents.

Many people think the drawer under the oven is for storage, when it's really a warming area to keep cooked foods warm. Maybe that can help.

Yes and no. Their concept of the "real world of today" isn't real.  At some point they'll have to actually work and move out of their parents house. They aren't ready to be self-sufficient.

Even if not interested, treat people politely. If the provider says they're not available,  I'll thank them for responding, since not everyone does.
If there is a face Pic, I dont ask for more pics. And I'll ask the provider, should we meet, what would make it enjoyable for them,  or if there are any limits they want to make me aware of.
I want a provider to want to see me again, so I try and make it as stress-free as possible, (but that doesn't mean I will ever send a deposit).
