From what I’ve seen and been told, providers do warn each other about dangerous clients and time wasters. In my area, besides using Mr. Number, some (especially Latins) have a WhatsApp group where they only share information about problematic clients. As far as I know, they don’t exchange details on good clients, those they seem to keep to themselves, probably to avoid competition.

I don’t mind when providers reach out. I have a few providers who travel to my area a couple of times a year, and they always give me a heads-up before their trip, which I think works out great for both of us. I also get the occasional non-business text from regulars for birthdays, holidays, or just to stay in touch. As long as the messages aren’t too frequent, I see it as a thoughtful gesture.

To each their own. Personally, I prefer a smooth look, both for myself and for the providers I hire. That doesn’t mean that a provider being hairy would be a deal breaker, but it would definitely place them lower on my hiring scale.

That said, in most cases, they look more or less as advertised. Naturally, a provider will select their most flattering shots, and with the abundance of filters and photo editing tools available today, it’s easier than ever to enhance images. Some providers keep their photos updated, while others leave the same ones up for years. As I’ve mentioned before, I simply assume that every provider is a bit older, shorter, and heavier than their ad suggests, and that the photos are slightly older and retouched. Approaching it with this mindset helps avoid a lot of disappointment.
