As a Brooklynite who works in Manhattan and has had to travel to both Jersey and the Bronx, Jersey is SHOCKINGLY easy (like to the extent that I was angry how much faster the commute is between NJ and Manhattan than Brooklyn and Manhattan).

I don’t speak for others, but for me, as a New Yorker, location is SUPREMELY important. I quite literally chose my first escort because his location was the most convenient one for me to stop at on my way to work. As others have said, if you plan on hosting, your best bet is in or very close to midtown. Honestly, I think guys would pay more for convenience. If you plan on doing outcalls, transportation accessibility is imperative, so better to stay somewhere very accessible like Jersey City or Astoria than somewhere like South Brooklyn or Long Island.

Really surprised that it could even be possible for a homeless person or recent immigrant to have a credit card- I’m in my 30s, have lived here my whole life, have a full time job and two debit cards, but can’t get approved for a credit card because I don’t have enough credit history! Anyway, back on topic, you can easily avoid homeless escorts if that’s an issue for you by doing incalls only with escorts who are based out of the city you are in.

I do manage my schedule; that’s why my appointments have either been in the morning or on a day off. I’m not saying it’s ok to show up unclean; I’m saying that if someone does show up unclean, it’s probably not due to them being generally unhygienic, and is more likely to be circumstantial. We have to give people benefit of the doubt. ETA: to be clear, I am not making excuses for myself; I have only ever had two appointments and arrived squeaky clean to both. People don’t always have control over these things. For example, if I’m going to an appointment after work, it’s not physically possible to be shower-fresh upon arrival. I have an addictive personality and would absolutely become addicted to hiring if I had the time and money to indulge regularly. I find that for anything I’m trying not to become addicted to, I have to give myself specific parameters or goals to hit before I engage. One of the main elements I look for when I peruse an escort’s profile is if I can tell WHY he escorts. If he seems like he does it because he can make a lot of money or is desperate to make ends meet? Wrong reason. If he seems like he does it as a favor to those less hot than him? Wrong reason. If he seems like he does it because he genuinely loves sex and making others happy? Right reason!

I re-downloaded Grindr a few days ago and had to delete it again because it is now making sounds on its own even while my phone is locked (and my settings are to not receive notifications). I haven’t met them, but the highest rates I have been quoted for an hour incall in NYC were $450 (by one provider) and $500 (by two providers). I honestly would probably not pay that much unless I either came into a large sum of money or all escorts’ rates became that high. All other rates were pretty evenly distributed between $300 and $400. The only two escorts I met were $350 and $300 (both experiences were worth the money); the two I intend on seeing next are $350 and $400.

That is one of my main reasons for not being on PreP and being a “condom n*zi”- I have the same doctor as my family, and my (very infrequent) sexual activity is nobody’s business. I’m on one med (for an unrelated condition), and that’s one more med than I’d like to be taking.

Yep, I did tell the escort in advance and he was rock hard, so it’s possible he did take a Viagra. I guess it seemed at like a “big ask” at the time because oral with a condom was something I had never seen/experienced before. I would definitely not hire a provider who refused a condom during anal… that would be the biggest dealbreaker!
